there's an easy solution to that, but capitalism and its zealots wont allow it. first an international entity is formed to hire medical researchers to develop drugs for specific purposes. once one is developed, and passed all clinical trials, the patent data(including all the chemical reactions and the whole manufacturing process) is made into public domain, or using a gpl-like licensing scheme. and every country makes laws stating that every pharmaceutical company operating there HAS to produce that drug and regulating the price to be the cost of manufacturing plus a small(15% sounds fair) profit margin.
One thing i haven't heard anyone talk about is how in many predominantly Black neighborhoods we have longer wait times to be able to cast our vote. I grew up in a Black neighborhood but moved to a predominantly White neighborhood. I was surprised by how quick voting was. I remember being in line for hours with my mom in order for her to vote after she got off work. The votes from Black communities would be counted later than other neighborhoods.

and every country makes laws stating that every pharmaceutical company operating there HAS to produce that drug and regulating the price to be the cost of manufacturing plus a small(15% sounds fair) profit margin.

One thing i haven't heard anyone talk about is how in many predominantly Black neighborhoods we have longer wait times to be able to cast our vote. I grew up in a Black neighborhood but moved to a predominantly White neighborhood. I was surprised by how quick voting was. I remember being in line for hours with my mom in order for her to vote after she got off work. The votes from Black communities would be counted later than other neighborhoods.

I met a man who had a FOURTH GENERATION tile and marble business in Lima Ohio. Trump gave him so much work on the Taj Mahal casino he suspended his thriving local business and essentially opened shop in Jersey. Before the bankruptcy he sent a letter to all of the vendors he owed money to and basically, to paraphrase, said, take $.30 on the dollar or deal with the bankruptcy trustee. Those vendors ended up with between $.05 to $.30 they were owed. Trump is a professional debtor punk.
