I sampled this fragrance at Bloom Perfumery in London, applied it on my hand, and took a stroll. I couldn't resist and went back to purchase it! It's a truly regal and transportive scent-everything I look for in a perfume!
Great story, I had a similar experience with Tom Fords Tobacco Oud, took me back 25 years to the house of my grandfather who had a little cabin filled with booze and cigars...it's like a time machine :) gonna try that iron duke soon
Matt, I was hooked as soon as you mentioned saddle soap I was hooked! One of my other hobbies is wearing fine shoes and I use saddle soap quite a bit and love the smell.
This is a very special perfume buddy. One of the best of my hoard. Its huge and edgy but amazing. If you like the smell of saddle soap you might need this one buddy 😃
@@QuestioningScents to be honest I love the smell of cordite too bud as I shot clays for a years. I know were you are coming from with cigarette smoke as my dad was a pipe smoker (he also smoked old Holburn roll ups to) and i realised why i love PDM Herod...cherry tobacco!
@@markbrailsford2849 I used to smoke Old Holborn myself but it hung in my beard for hours and Mrs Matt complained so I went to GV. Been vaping for years now
love it when perfumes connect you to memories and emotions. The connection to a Dad crowns it all. I cannot bring myself to buying the fragrances my Dad used to wear .. not yet!

I own this one from Beaufort along with CdN and T&M. Also like Et Armis but is seems similar to CdN) and maybe Fathom V but need a proper sample of that one. You are right they are not complement getters and my wife hates Iron Duke. It seems to be one where I go nose blind on it and then reapply when I really shouldn't...

It's an incredibly daring and commanding scent which literally kicks you in the face. Fantastic for what it is.
