I was born and raised in Buckeye, Left there about 40 years ago. Can't believer the changes sinceI left. I saw a comment from a guy that said he had been stationed at Luke AFB. I also ended up stationed at Luke for my last 18 months in service. Just lived at my old homestead in Buckeye.

Flaco, thank you for your service, love our military. I appreciate your comments and thank you for supporting the channel. Buckeye is a wonderful place to live. It's a little removed from the nightlife and things to do there, but lots of good things are happening. Where are you living now?

@@PHOENIXAZLIVING : I live in the Wichita Ks area but I’ve wanted to live in AZ since 1983. There’s always been this reason or that reason why I couldn’t move down there. I’m now 62 and full retirement age is just five more years. If I live that long, I’ll move down there. Btw, your video here is very pleasant and very watchable! Good job!👏👏👏🇺🇸

Luke AFB is still a drag strip 😳 right and the Jets fly over on silent mode correct. Good call about the place and the added Traffic going past the place. Not against the AFB just want some honesty.

Thank you, Lewis! In the past, we have built communities near Luke within the AICUZ and had to make special provisions in our homes to help account for the noise levels, so I'm well aware of the noise levels and have discussed it in other videos. It can get loud at times on their training runs throughout the day, but I love the sound of freedom. Buckeye is definitely getting busier and with all the new development that is planned it's only going to get more congested. Hopefully, the widening of the freeway will help alleviate the traffic...we'll see over time. Did you serve in the military? Do you live near the base now? Thank you for your comments and appreciate the feedback.

Are they working on putting more stores / shopping / convenience in Buckeye?

With all of the plans they have coming down the pike with several masterplans, they'll need to have an infrastructure in place especially with Teravalis coming online. Anything in particular that you're eluding to? Appreciate your comment, thank you.

@@timelesslegacyagency If what you're looking for isn't available at the Sundance Towne Center at I-10 and Watson then you would have to go into town near I-10 off the Dysart or Litchfield exit, there are some restaurants in that area. The Westgate district in Glendale could be an option for you there, lots of restaurants & shopping. Where do you currently live? Thank you.

You are so right, Buckeye is just getting started. With all of the current and upcoming masterplans and so many distribution centers being built out there, it's going crazy. When we were developing the Sundance community and Verrado was just getting started nearly 20 years ago, Buckeye was a small town, but not anymore. Where do you live now? Thank you for your comments and appreciate your support of the channel.

I live in Peoria and buckeye personally I do not like.
First: it’s boring their nothing there besides grocery stores and some basic fast food chains and some small restaurants other than that nothing to get excited about.
Second: entertainment hardly any entertainment and if you want entertainment gotta go to Goodyear or Avondale to find some type of entertainment which their isn’t much there either.
3: traffic yes you got the 303 now but still if you work on the east side your stuck on the 10 for a good hour or more. Enjoy spending two to four hours of your day in traffic.
4: I don’t mean to offend anyone by this but if you move to buckeye yes it’s for financial reasons and also some people are just anti social and don’t want to be around no one and prefer to be alone in the middle of the desert 🏜️.
5: I think it goes back to reason 1 their is nothing to do there, literally besides maybe mountain hiking, dirt riding that’s pretty much it. I rather move to San tan which is a city that has more entertainment and is closer to other cities like chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Scottsdale, Mesa . If you like being alone and smelling cow poop every morning than buckeye is the place to be.

Anthony, thanks for the great comments. Having built several hundred homes in Buckeye I don't disagree with a lot of what you said. Buckeye is more affordable than other suburbs and it's driven by land prices, but that will change in time. Unfortunately, there is not a lot to do there....yet! It will change in the coming years as more and more masterplans are coming online. It's a young city with tremendous upside. Prices and values will continue to rise over time. I built next to one of the dairies and that sweet aroma throughout the day is quite interesting. 🤣 Peoria is a nice place, we built there too. Thanks for your support of our channel.

I don’t mean to sound like a jerk about buckeye but I had family that live there for 10 years and they honestly ended up moving back to Glendale and Phoenix. It was basically for the same reasons the traffic and the no entertainment factor and they got bored of it eventually.
I agree with you that buckeye is a place that is growing, but it’s growing in the sheer number only of homes and warehouses similar to surprise and el mirage . I just don’t see buckeye changing when it comes to entertainment, people will still have to drive far for any real entertainment. Couple other factors about living there is people are at risk of getting valley fever. Let’s not forget the wildlife snakes, javelins, coyotes, scorpions. I would say the real factor is financial reasons and like I said before some people just want to be alone.

@@anthonym6202 No worries, Buckeye isn't for everyone. It will be a happening place one day as the city develops and continues its strong growth. Appreciate the interaction. Thanks for your feedback and support.
