Thank you for the video. I took my wife's 04 Acura TL the past two years to different audio stores and everyone wanted me to replace everything for $1,000's. I ordered a junkyard amp, followed ur instructions. 5 mins & $125 =brand new sound. Thanks my man!
Thanks! Just replaced my amplifier in our '04 Acura TL (with 376,108 miles -- we bought it new in October 2003). Audio stores wanted me to replace it for $100's...got on eBay and found decent one for $80..did the install myself. ALL IS GOOD! Thanks dude!
Thanks for the video...very clear...helped lots replacing amp on 2005 Acura TL. I Installed a new OEM from Honda Parts for Less. This install took me more than 5 Mins....2 hours in fact. But well worth it. Sounds are back to very good! The top 10mm nut is very hard to get a socket/wrench on. I removed the glove box providing more hand room to position the socket for the top nut. I left the glove box attached to the rear panel for the removal. I disconnected the plugs to the glove box light and to the switch for the trunk security. While you have the glove box and panel out would be a great time to replace the cabin air filter and replace the glove box light bulb with an LED.
Replaced the amp from a 2005 TL I found at the junkyard for $40. It seemed much easier to access the 3rd top stud than my 2004. I thought it was redesigned with the cables moved away from the mounting stud. Thanks for your video. It definitely was very helpful.
I made this replacement for my 2005 TL today, and it went exactly like the video. One recommendation for anybody doing the repair, it is easier to screw in the bottom bolts before you plug in the wiring to the amp than after.
Straight to the point and easy to follow, what more could you ask for? Replaced the amp on my 2004 TL and fixed the constant buzzing noise which drove me crazy for years! Saved on labour costs. Thanks fellas, keep up the great work!
was your audio system was making as squeek kinda noise too?? like a constant one, coz i was thinking its the speaker on the left,or the in door etc, but all are good but the noise is still there. so should i try to replace the amp too. thnx
Successfully followed your steps and removed the amp. I had to use a drill to remove the bottom two screws and the top came off with a ratcheting wrench with an extension. My speaker previously would start quiet and grow to full volume over around 2 hours. Worse in the winter and cold days. Now it immediately has full volume
so when you replaced with new amp did it fix your problem with sound cause I turn my radio all the way up to 40 and I can still have a normal conversation
Hey, thanks first of all super informative, I recently got an 06 TL and the radio system works fine (tuning, nav screen, volume indicator) but there is 0 audio coming out of any of the speakers if u had to guess would u say it was related to the amp
does this amp have a fuse for the power remote wire im not getting any remote power at my aftermarket radio i tapped into it and either popped a fuse or shorted something
I have a 1999 tl and just installed an aftermarket radio. what parts do I need to purchase to use my factory subwoofer? any info would be greatly appreciated.
could you help me pls, my 2007 acura tl, keeps making this loud popping sound like every 5 sec and it switches for am/fm to aux on its own. I don't know if I need to replace the radio or the amp. have you heard of this problem before
This did not fix my problem. Bought new OEM amp on ebay and swapped it out just like video said. Volume still at 40 and not loud. What else could be the problem?
does the rear speakers are hooked up there or to the stereo ? i have a aftermarket stereo and the rear speakers dont have sound and everything is hooked up correctly i triple checked it but i dont know why it doesnt have sound
Joey huezo you could run a rca converter and the run that to a equalizer then to aftermarket amp(s) and finish by running speaker wiring to aftermarket speakers to replace factory speakers
