it is criminal at this point that I still use the same scopes as I did when the game released nearly 8 years ago especially considering that WOTH had more options at its launch and now they've even added more sights
This ain’t gonna happen with Jaxy as the community manager we are gonna get shit stuff like weapon skins that cost as much as a weapon pack, he doesn’t listen to the community and only adds stuff that doesn’t make the game harder/fun

Gotta be Whiterime ridge in COTW, just replace the bison with muskox. Polar bear, Sitka deer, artic fox, snowshoe hare, ptarmigan, dall sheep, snow goose, arctic wolves and of course muskox.
What about a jungle reserve too? With Tigers, Gorillas, Black Panthers, giant snakes like Pythons and Anacondas, Jaguars, Ocelots, Chimpanzees and species of Deer that live in Jungles.

@@liamsstudio_44 Why does EW hate jungle animals? Is it because Tigers and Gorillas etc are endangered? I don’t see a problem hunting pythons and Anacondas or Rattlesnakes for that matter. I also mean just jungle animals in general and the animals I mentioned are all jungle animals I know they don’t live by each other.

I want a complete overhaul on The ballistic/ damage profile. And for the guns to feel slightly different than the others. And maybe more air guns.
In Florida, invasive snake hunting would be cool, such as Burmese python. They have cool morphs (fur variants) that could be interesting
Not to mention all the other invasive reptiles. I’ve seen some massive monitor lizards coming out of the Everglades.
Texas would be so much better, they could add a map with only exotics and make it like 20 bucks and would be so much better, (feral hog, axis deer, red deer, sables, oryx, rams)
TJ your Pennsylvanian deer hunter ballistics are showing in this one.
300 BLK is a 223 cut down with a .308 bullet shoved into it. It shoots a 125gr as fast as a 30-30 shoots a 150gr. A better AR option for moose grinding would be mayyybe 8.6 blk, but an ar-10 in 338 federal or 358 win would be better. Those are both necked up 308s, and the 338 federal pushes a 200gr to a bit over 2500fps.
Though truthfully I think if they made a fast straight pull rifle available in 375 (blaser r8 comes to mind) that would be a great option.
I commented something similar just a few mins ago. Always get a giggle when people mix up their ballistic profiles.
What he really wants is a 450, 458, or 50 in the AR platform. Faster cycling and higher cap mags than the 45-70.
8.6 would be dope as hell to see. 300blk as well. But like you said, both for the suppression side of things
tbf, an ar10 in 8.6 blk would be absolutely incredible
.338 Fed and 8.6 BLK are essentially the same thing right? Both a .308 necked up to .338, the blackout is actually the Creedmoor case but basically the same thing just modernized.
@@Chabrinklo6.5 338 fed is a supersonic round if I’m not mistaken, the advantage to the 8.6 is the ability to push heavier projectiles at subsonic speeds to create more energy in a suppressed platform. The 8.6 also take advantage of a much faster twist rate, allowing it to stabilize those heavy pills much better than other offerings. Doesn’t suite well for supers if memory serves
@@Chabrinklo6.5 from light reading I’ve gathered that the 8.6 does have the advantage of a trimmed back case and improved shoulder to handle longer and heavier projectiles than the fed. Which makes sense since it was designed for the quiet bois
I'd love to see the render distance be changed to where we can see maybe 700 away and with that we would need more long range weapons like the 6.5 PRC which I've seen elk and moose dropped with at close to 1000 yards, i'd also like to see the 300 Blackout but you have to remember its a 308 bullet in a 223 cartridge so the penetration would not be great for moose but it would be a great hog hunting gun.
Thank you for saying that! Everyone’s saying it’s a great idea for classes 8-9 and it’s like, the .308 and .30-06 are the 300 blackouts big brothers and they aren’t class 9.
I think the Amazon rainforest in Brazil would be a cool map cause it could bring a brand new animal ai if they were to add monkeys. Some of the animals they could add include
Jaguars: class 7, aggression levels like lions
Lowland Tapir: class 7, biggest land animal on the map
Black caimen: class 7, the biggest animal on the map, aggressive like alligators
Anteaters: class 3, not aggressive
Capy bara: class 4
Giant otter, class 3
Red howler monkey: class 2
Squirrel monkey: class 1
Giant armadillo: class 3
Howler monkey: class 2
Spider monkey: class 1
New gun: 7mm-08 class 3-7
Giant anteaters do actually kill people. I'd have them have a aggression system as well
@@rodsongreen5249 I didn’t want to add to many aggressive animals to the map because then it makes hunting to easy hence why grizzly bears aren’t aggressive in game because wolfs, bison, and moose are already have an aggressive option

I think straight walled cartridges would be cool they make them in bolt action rifles at platform and most importantly could make for some really interesting zeroing distances

12:25 I don't think you know what 300 blackout is.
300 blackout was a cartridge designed to shoot 30-caliber projectile from a case the same length as 556/223 at the same chamber pressure so that it could use the Bolt and mags from an ar-15.
The standard round for 300blk is 120-150 grains, being fired anywhere from 1900 to 2400 fps, or you can get 220gr sub sonic rounds.
compare this to a 308 firing a 180gr projectile at 2600 fps or a 150gr at 2800 fps
308 is FAR more powerful than 300 blackout. 300blk has less energy than a 243 or 270
a 270 has 2700 ft lb at the muzzle
243 has 1900
300blk has 1200
.300 blackout really isnt up to moose lmao... its only a .223 necked up to .30 caliber

Absolutely no way I'd use a 300 BLk for moose.. maybe he meant 6.8 BLK. But even that wouldn't be the best.
Could probably push it a bit further than that if ya run a supersonic load... also not super familiar with the ballistics on it though so i may be a bit off
@@HuntWhileAverage 6.8 is still a bit weird. But I would use it for elk, nothing larger.
Increase render distance, add new scopes and spotting scopes, fix goose hunting so they actually fly together and land in or near decoys not fly in circles in a single file line for 5 minutes, fix upland hunting, so the birds don’t sense you and start running from 200 yards. Add trophy shots and True size animals, a diamond bear is the exact same as a bronze and just makes hunting anything without antlers pointless.
I want classic single shots to get some love in call of the wild. Would love to see the buffalo rifle to return from classic.
I like the Florida map idea. They could do squirrels as well.

My number one wish is for COTW 2.0 for PC, Xbox X/S & PS5 only with all your suggestions & more. Xbox One & PS4 are holding the game back so time to start fresh with gameplay modes (sim, arcade & hybrid), difficulties, functional camo, huge render distance & much much more!

@@TexasFishing628 that's kind of my point. Stop developing COTW & bring out COTW 2.0. Old consoles are holding it back so why not move forward without them. COTW would still be there for people who aren't on next gen consoles or PC. Can't keep using outdated technology forever!
Increase render distance, faster atv, let us make notes on the map, make it so you can toggle on/off other players waypoint in multiplayer.
It’s quite common for older Cape buffalo to end up with one or no horns they just use the big hump on their head to hit things. Could work well with an aging system maybe find a huge buffalo and if you leave him to age another 3 years he’ll be an oldie with no horns on the edge of the herd. Be interesting to see what expansive worlds do next year. My main complaint is really render distance, would love spotting scopes and being able to see animals out to 600-700m even if it means the models are sacrificed a bit graphically at that range. Map features I would love to see:
1) Filter need zones by animal and zone type! E.g. only show white tail drinking zones, hide everything else.
2) Add markers (as you said in your video)
3) Only show currently active need zones

My Wishlist
1. Trophy Lodge Filter
2. Revamp of grinding - make the chance of spawning a great one higher. BUT - consecutive kills of a certain species past X number start to take the spawn chance down. I think grinding the way it currently stands has taken a lot of the magic out of the game. Loadouts are tailored to exactly “how many of X species can I kill” instead of what weapons are most enjoyable to use. This would also influence more weapon packs to be bought I believe.
3. Revamp of Zones: Again- grinding is extremely repetitive and becomes mundane for most species (black bear and moose to a degree is an exception). A lot of this is due to zones for the most part not really changing much. Implementing more solo zones, moving zones, and varied zone locations map to map would make the grinds less repetitive. This isn’t a perfect example but think back to COTW whitetail in 2018ish. A mixture of herds now + loners and male/female duos for most species could really revolutionize grinding
I would really like a map that could have mega fauna beasts like irish elk or saber tooth mammoth , it would be so cool to hunt all the giants.

I like idea of another Rev, but I would want it on the west coast, so we would get another map for Roosevelt elk, and blacktail deer, its also time for an elk great one! This is second on my list with a Yukon valley trophy lodge at #1, euro mounts are 3rd 👍 I also love the idea of a 300 blackout so that's #4 for sure. 5 is more scopes. Also love how you mentioned console camera! Keep up the good work as always, and have an excellent Christmas!
i would LOVE a silencer or suppressor system in some way, where some might add 50 meters of extra range or more penetration but not as silent as one like that makes it really quiet but shortens the range or gives less penetration. (i would personaly really enjoy this update and i think others would too)
Or reduce the pressure like the bows
imo far too based in the fps genre where guns need to be balanced, irl a silencer has literally no benefits other than weight, in the uk we dont hunt without them
300 blackout wouldn't really be ethical for moose. Now the now 8.6 blackout would certainly work and is the same kinda thing. Its starting to be made in ar-10 sized rifles
I’ve always wanted to see a 450 bushmaster in CoW. It is ethical on moose and it’s a common AR10 round so it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

Im curious why you think the .300 blackout isnt ethical😂. People kill whitetail with a blackout AR irl. The faster you kill something, the less pain the animal is in
@easye9488 300 blackout isn't really big enough to be ethical. It'll kill it but the chances of a bad shot are too high. It's a moderately sized slow moving round. It's roughly equivalent to 7.62x39 which is not considered powerful enough for moose typically. The 8.6 is basically the same idea but instead of scalling a 5.56 case up to 30 caliber they scaled a .308 or 7.62x51 up to 8.6mm and gave it a crazy fast twist. It's a proper big game cartridge. Neither of which people will enjoy in game. With an effective range of only a few hundred meters people will complain about drop and power loss at range.
Flitter 300 blackout is tinny. It’s made for pigs and coyotes. That’s why it’s in a ar15 platform. Maybe a 338 in a benllie or BAR.
I agree with the new lodge and museum type of lodge. I love games where you have an objective, or you just have to grind for something in specific so when I saw they released the Layton Lake lodge where you have to find specific animals to hang it definitely brought me back to the game and it was free! So, I definitely want to see more of that.

Multiple Waypoint is a must and would bring people back. How many people quit the game because it takes so long to track down animals when you can only mark one point.
Now my Wishlist after waypoints and a Spotting Scope. Spotting Scope must be able to see farther than you can shoot to make it for hunting and not long range shooting. My ultimate Wishlist item is for a EW Hunting Camp Map. Think about it they are Expansive Worlds so a EW camp map could be one with swamp, forest, plains, and etc because it doesn’t have to be a real geographically area. This EW camp
Can rotate animals periodically so one cycle you could have Elk and the next the Elk is replaced with a Red Deer. Crocs for Alligators. Turkey, Goose, Quall, Fox, Bear, and Duck species interchange. And then in the EW Camp Map you can have more challenges for each cycle and total. Like you mentioned how cool would it be to get the Turkey Quad Slam on one map over a year. Make the cycle like a season in other games where it last three months. I’d even pay a battle pass price for a year or quarterly pass to hunt this EW Camp. Get Remi back to be the camp
Director and set the challenges. It would be like a new game within a game.
I'd really like to see Osceolas in the game, as well as key deer like you said. I'd also really like to see some more backfills and also the concept of "rare species", where certain species would spawn very few animals, i.e. moose on NZ or mountain lions on Layton.
i'd love for a thermal pack too come out instead of nightvision but make the scope better
and we also need more custamizable options like suppresers
Need button remapping so I can spam L1 for spotting instead of square. Square makes it hard to spot moving targets and I always end up pulling out the camera on accident

All sounds good to me. I would like mission packs or at least new missions. A way to block mods when hosting multiplayer. I get tired of kicking people but like to keep it public. A new bird mechanic, Sand Hill Cranes! Also I can't believe none of the hunting games have doves. What's up with that? Who wouldn't want to shoot rock pigeons? Thanks for all your content Flinter! I would like to see an upland bird rework along with some sort of pointing dog. I find it frustrating when birds flush 100 meters away before you even knew they were there.
Also would like to see a Texas ranch map with new animals such as : mourning dove, gamble’s quail, and nilgai.
Africa 2.0 with a bunch of plains game would also be fun.
Partner, I use 300BO on hogs and struggle to put them down. It is Definitely not something you’d shoot an elk with. For SURE not a moose. Maybe a 300 win mag AR? But 300 blackout AR is not at all the direction for moose.

A good map idea would be a midwestern map. The Midwest is known for big whitetail deer. The species would include Whitetail deer, coyote, raccoon, eastern wild turkey, Canada geese, wood duck, red and grey fox. And I would like to see American badgers.

I think they should add custumceble multi mounts. They can for example have a preset with one deer and one predator, but you get to pick which ones.
I just started playing again two months ago on a new character and as kinda being new to everything again I would love if they had a lodge that is like layton lodge where there are specific areas for a mount but have a lodge for each map or just a lodge that expands as you get new maps. It would really help in seeing progress as you fill it out and overall would make setting up a good and filled out lodge easier I think.
Ya know I was thinking of a new map that’s completely out of the realm of what they would consider, but here it is.
A map created as of the woodlands of the Appalachian mountains, no sun only moon light so it’s always dark. And the creatures are like skinwalkers, Bigfoot, mothman, the wendigo, and many other folklore. I think it would be cool to hunt and find these folklore and be able to have them as mounts in our lodges.
For the Florida map idea, it would be cool if they added the American Crocodile in addition to just the expected alligators. I feel like it would really set the map apart from Mississippi if it had a unique crocodilian species. It seems inevitable to me that they will eventually have more croc or caiman species to hunt. A Cuban crocodile, Nile crocodile, or gharial would all be awesome options for future maps
Not just more diamond racks, but more racks across the board for all species. Also while a turkey slam would be a great addition, a Sheep slam is like a must, especially since we have the maps. So disappointing we are missing out on Dall’s, stones, and deserts. Plus image an all diamond sheep slam in the trophy lodge with custom habitat, would be so cool.
Merry christmas flinter. As someone who lives in florida and has watched your videos for years, i think its cool to add a florida map. The only thing is that we dont have as much exotic hunts as people think. I wouldnt want EW to go TOO far and add sambar and red deer, rusa, sheeps and other nonnatives. Its not necessary. As far as ducks go, we need wood duck and and teal and the osciola turkeys. I love the .300 blackout idea and maybe more 20ga shotguns for turkeys. Thank you for the video it was entertaining.🎉
And honestly more rifle scopes would be great with different zooms and reticles

Speaking of different racks how adding velvet deer. For the trophy lodges I’d like to see pedestal and wall pedestal mounts or even half life size mounts
An update where the devs go back to older species and give new fur variations like with the fallow. Maybe lucistic for white tail, albino for black bear, new piebald variations for older species etc.

Flinter, I loved most of your weapon wishes, I've thought they should definitely add a 375 H&H for a while. But 300 Blackout? That is not an ethical moose cartridge at all. It's actually significantly weaker than 308 Winchester, a cartridge in which we already have an AR-style rifle.
I’d really like deployable bipods. Something you carry and can set down and immediately stabilize your weapon sway. No movement so you could accurately shoot up to 400m even if you’re not high level and reduce weapon sway. Make it like 4 points to carry
Trophy shots and being able to place them in the lodges and the trophy shots showing the time and when it was taken I think this would be a great quality of life improvement and I believe everyone like to see this addition to the the game hopefully expansive worlds looks into this feature
Better render distance for me is paramount. I know hardware limitations are a thing and last gen consoles are struggling. But i would love a next gen/pc render distance upgrade at least for big game species
I'd love thermal gear, like a thermal monocular but I do think that when doing co-op hunting a polaris would be so amazing, we are stuck with using ATV's and have to dry by ourselves, but could you imagine how convenient it would be if we had a side by side like the polaris?!

Just wanted to say good video but 300 blackout is actually just a 223 straitened out to 30cal so it’s still a small cartridge with a big bullet
Maybe they would actually give us the proper ammo. I did know it was smaller (tho I didnt realize it was that small!) and was kinda guessing they would do a similar thing to some of the other calibers we have in game, where they just use the same ammo from already existing guns :D
I like how flinter suggested the new turkey for the florida map when he mentioned florida my mind immediately went to Iguanas they are a super invasive species over there and I think it would be dope to shoot iguanas out of the trees in a florida map also it would be a great species for the pellet gun thats in the game since it really has no use and not many use it since its release but the new turkey is a good addition too
What I've always wanted for COTW is a muzzleloader weapon pack. .32 caliber all the way up to .58 or even .69 Calliber. Class 1 to class 9. A blackpowder shotgun for birds and even throw in a tradition frontier outfit. I spent a week in Silver Ridge Peaks limiting myself to just the black powder rifle and had a blast but there's to many species you can't hunt with the weapon options in the game.
I like the Florida idea with a added twist being the iguana. Florida is over run with them and it'd be cool to do missions based on "pest control"
in my opinion we should also have co-op trophy lodges, because that would be really fun if youre great one grinding with your friend and you both could acces the lodge and place animals there toghether would be really nice
I would love suppressors it would work like less hunting presser so maybe 5/6 animals before the zone is gone and the animals don’t spook as far. And tripods for the wepons to have a more steady shot

I'd really like another Africa map, something in central Africa with savanna buffalo, elephant, bongo, maybe a zebra species, and duiker.
Also I think you were talking about an AR-10 in 300 magnum moreso than 300 blackout which is NOT up to the task on moose (irl is significantly weaker than .30-30)
I've been wanting a flordia map for Osceola Turkeys since they added subspecies!! They could also add both gators and American saltwater crocs.
I wish they added some sleeping bags as an item as a lighter version of a tent that functions as purely a placable rest/fast travel spot.
And for resting zone for example whitetail could have big rubs and scraps just a added detail that would be cool
I like the idea of customizing the lodge mounts. I play in offline mode and only one map. Would love to have multiple deer mounts!
They need to rework the nightvision and add thermals. And for mounts, they need to add pedestal mounts. Then we could have 1-3 shoulder mounts (depending on species) on 1 floor pedestal and fill some of that floor space in the lodges.
Hey flinter, love the video as always. About you mentioning something more powerful in semi auto for moose. I agree wholeheartedly. And I do agree that there should be a 300blk in the game, but as a suppressed element. They already have the 308 AR-10 in the game, and 308 is far more powerful than 300blk. So the only advantages it could give are extra maneuverability or sound suppression.
To add the power you are looking for I’d suggest 450 bushmaster, 458 socom, or 50 Beowulf. All can run in the AR15 platform (aka would handle like the 223 AR in game) but perform like the 45-70. Not so great at long range but devastating within 200 yards
Hate to be the counter critic but lets go. Florida map would be alot of repeat species. It would take some really far stretching to get anything new out of that. Key deer shouldnt be there, it shouldnt give the impression of hunting them in a game going for realism also would destroy the location as it would put you in some poor places habitat wise for other species. TruRacks are on Vurhonga on Springbok. A 300 blackout is not a moose caliber. At all. Its barely enough for upper medium game definitely not true large game. It is a 7.62x67 (win mag) vs a 7.62x35 (blackout). Significantly smaller case (223 case) less powder, less energy, its designed for close ranger and supressor shooting.

45-70 needs some love. Its way underpowered. Rework it and add the buffalo rifle from classic chambered in it.

I think you'd want an 8.6 blackout Flantro for power or something like a nemo arms omen in 300 win mag as well maybe launching with a new 300 ammo type that being said been watching for roughly 6 years now great content and merry Christmas
I saw the nemo arms omen in a Kentucky Ballistics vid and it looked so cool! I think that would be a great addition to the game!
Something I prefer for water buffalo (haven't tried on cape buffalo) is actually a compound bow with 600 gr. broadheads. Rated 90 for penetration, I think I actually heart shot a banteng from behind before. If you have the high tech hunting dlc, the rangefinder bow scope makes 70 meter shots possible. I think I got a 110 meter shot on a lioness after missing a few times, but over 100 meters is a toss up.
Like a lot of other people are saying in the comments, I think if you are looking for a popular caliber for AR, 450 Bushmaster might be a more powerful choice than 300 blackout, and it is very commonly used where people can only do straight-walled cartridges for deer hunting.
Something KG Gaming talked about was suppressors. I would add that this could expand to chokes for shotguns. Say you value low recoil over sound amplitude, perhaps a muzzle break could also be added. Fore end attachments could be viable.
I own multiple 300 blackouts, the blackout is a 30-30. It's an amazing round, but not personally a gun I'd hunt a moose with since your ammo tends to top out around 150 grain bullets. More of a class 2-7 gun if you will. Now what I could see being a huge attention grabber and potentially a huge seller for this game or any hunting game, is suppressors. Imagine grinding moose, suppressed .300 mag, being able to shoot a moose and nothing within say 100 meters being able to hear the gunshot. Sure maybe the animals can go to alert but being able to not have them flee right away, I think that would definitely change the game and make it so much more fun
I want Dall sheep and alpine ibex, they are in the hunter classic and would make an amazing species to add. Also new trophy shots would be cool too.
I like all the ideas so far except for the Florida map. However the Texas map of exotic game animals now that is something that would sound much better. I think my favorite thing so far is the animal age cycle.😊

I think one thing that would be cool is instead of having one gun in each caliber have direct guns at different price points th as t you can get in different calibers.also expand what the guns can do. Lots of people hunt deer with a 300 win mag and lots of people hunt elk with a 243

Number 1 thing i want is suppressors. They’re a huge part in hunting shooting. Everyone hunts with suppressors. And if anyone knows anything about suppressors they’re obviously still loud. Animals will still hear it and spook from 300+ yards away. But it makes it a greater experience for the shooter. Less recoil and easier to stay on target. I don’t understand why it’s not in the game.

I reckon some might disagree but I really want a uk map. Not just bc I live here but there’s great hunting opportunities. 6 deer species, lots of waterfowl, we could also have the introduction of squirrels and a break barrel air gun, slingshot, blowgun or spear could all be great fun aswell.
They should add a rare plumage type to the waterfowl that gives the birds a band
