Hey, my grandma (who woulda been 100 this year), made a "poultice" of Vicks salve, camphor oil & whiskey on a scrap of fabric. She'd warm it over the stove, then pin it inside my shirt when I was coughing & congested with a cold. My sister & I called it the drunken cough drop. It definitely cleared out the sinuses & stopped coughs! And we slept like babies-probably from absorbing all that whiskey! Southern home remedies at their finest! Love it when Miss Kay joins the show! So glad she's okay! Blessings to y'all!!!

I grew up in Mexico and everyone gave their kids vaporub when they were sick. I can't tell you how many times we ate vaporub and never got sick from it and got better. Lol. We also were dewormed as kids. It wasn't just my family, the whole town did it.

My son Joey was the unattended Dr Pepper vacuum cleaner. If you set your Dr Pepper down for a second, he would drain it in seconds. Didn't matter what size. Sometime before Kindergarten he got a big swallow of a cuzzin's bottle of dip spit. Puked his guts out all day. Never picked up another unattended soda or water bottle again. Lol.

Hey gentlemen!! I worked for ear, nose & throat doctors and when the non healing sores on the gums, tongue and throat appear and the surgeries are scheduled to start cutting things away, it’s AMAZING how quickly people quit tobacco!!!

Miss Kay there is outside carpet that you all can put down on the slippery poarch. My dad had to put some down for my mom she uses a walker. You may want to try to do that. Just a suggestion to help you all out. I'm glad you did not get injured more. God has millions of guarding Angels over you Miss Kay. My parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary then two days later was my birthday this month. I am so happy to see your doing so good Miss Kay Gbu all.
I have heard others say that they were given Vicks vapor rub when they were younger myself. I never was given it but it was rubbed on my chest, neck and I put on a sweat shirt when I had a chest cold when I was younger and later on I was told to put it on the bottom of my feet for relief of congestion and it works

I've never had dressing with duck or chicken fried duck fingers, sounds mouth watering delicious. I've had duck rotisserie plain lightly seasoned salt. Duck has way more flavor so with veggies it just makes a whole tasting meal with or without dessert, but I like something sweet after savory to make me feel satisfied all the way. Sometimes just a simple piece of candy after dinner is just fine.
We need more Ms. Kay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love her and she is the most amazing woman on the planet, she could teach us all a thing or two or three!
