- Uncle Si and the boys are finally back together after the Duck Call Room gang got dough-popped by COVID. Martin and John-David tell the story of how the virus blindsided them, and they offer heartfelt shout-outs to everyone who helped, including Godwin's wife. After five days in the hospital, John-David has a bone to pick with the meal schedule. Meanwhile, Si goes fishing at a place where you can catch a couple hundred trout. Martin's mom practices radical honesty about Al's weight. Martin has an underwear recommendation for the Olympic racewalkers, and Godwin is impressed by how long Olympians go without dessert. Hey John David, I was the Respiratory Therapist that drew your arterial blood in ER, glad you Martin are doing better! A little bit before I saw you I was sticking a lady for arterial blood and the visitor in the room said "Thanks Bill" as I was leaving, I didn't realize it was Paula until after I talked to you, I didn't recognize her with a mask on. Ya'll get a chance tell Paula I didn't recognize her, we used to work together and I feel bad for not speaking other than you're welcome!

I am on the nursing staff at a hospital here in Arizona. I have been working the Covid units for almost 2 years now. KEEP TAKING IN THOSE LOOONG SLOW DEEP BREATHS as long, slow and deep as you can to open and strengthen your lungs. Another thing we do with our patients is Prone them. Lay on your stomach for as long as you can, taking in those slow long deep breaths to equip, strengthen and utilize the lungs in your back. Both will be very Uncomfortable at First, but will catapult your progress ❤️❤️❤️ I sure did miss you 2 - so thankful to hear you will be okay💛

My wife, my son and my mother both just got over Covid. God blessed us tremendously with mild cases and are recovery very nicely. God bless you all! Glad you are all safe!!

Boys, I am so glad both of you survived this terrible disease. I hate that this has gotten so political. I am 53 and had congestive heart failure at 34 due to an autoimmune disease. I am already on my second pace maker. My wife is a severe asthmatic. We got a late start and have twin ten year old girls and are part time caregivers for my 89 year old mother in law who is in hospice care. I am a son of God and love our Lord but I never thought twice about getting the vaccine and wearing a mask when I go out because my wife, daughters and mother in law deserve no less. Love to all of the Duck Call Room family and praise God for returning both of you back to our family and yours. This will make both of you appreciate your blessings even more, my near death experience 20 years ago sure did.

I didn't know as well. I'm not on social media. God is great. My daughter had Covid and only survived through the grace of God. My niece and 3 members of her family are just recovering from Covid. My cousin lost 5 siblings to Covid. We are all Christians and praise God for his wisdom and grace. By all means get the vaccine. Glad you guys are back and thanks for sharing your story.
So Happy y'all all well & broke free of Medical Jail! I spent 4.5 months Neuro ICU & moved few times yet hard to break out to get to cafe floor for food! Did it once on back Dummy for Staff on lock down unit right before midnight & scared the snot out of NUTRITION Manager of HOSPITAL! She made me Chicken salad sandwich & took me back up to evil towel with security!🤣😂😭😉 2010 for ACM1.5/Syringomelia surgery yet had rejection/infection/over resection/ CSF leak, 2 more surgeries until fixed by 4th surgery in 2012! AMEN

covid sucks. i was in the same boat as you Martin. i would pass out when i would stand up. i lived off of water with hydration tablets and a grilled cheese sandwich a day. i lost 20 lbs thru it all. glad ya'll are feeling better. covid is a bad deal.
We came down to Louisiana this past weekend to carry mama and daddy to see Jimmy Swaggart, I wanted to go to Al's church, but had to fill their dream, I did come to West Monroe that night and came by the church and Uncle Si's house, nice place, and visited the Duck Commander on monday, we really enjoyed ourselves but wish we could've met everyone. God bless you all and hope everyone gets back to 100% soon

Glad yall are back and safe. I also had covid but mine wasn't has bad as yall ( I stayed home, never went to the hospital ). I'm older then both of yall. I didn't lose my taste or smell (yes I did test positive and then a week later test negative). I just kept moving. Didn't sleep on my back. Husband took care of me with vitamins and Gatorade. This c19 is different for everyone. Just keep moving! Like Jay and Philip did with Uncle Si.

had all the symptoms the November (before they called it COVID in March) for 2 weeks also….started a Christian childcare job in February; parents were panicking for not being able to find diapers and wipes in March but maybe 4 out of 100 folks had any sort of severe pneumonia/influenza symptoms or full fledge stuff God is very good to us!!!
