well considering it was metal in a junk yard you would need to see a doctor. When I stepped on a nail a my house I had to go to the doctor and get a booster tetanus
That tape really helped children overcome their fears of getting a cut! Thank you for uploading it! Someone should do an edited version with Michael Yarmush, Michael Caloz, and Luke Reid's voices kept intact.
This is so wild as I swear I have this episode on vhs tape but ironically I have or had the unaltered version as a child! Guess it makes sense they didn’t want Kids being scared thinking a little cut was worth a hospital visit when most parents can handle it for kids. Edit: for clarity I had Arthur’s knee on vhs still kinda wild both the og and renamed altered version made it on vhs
Thanks for finding this piece of Arthur lost media I didn’t know about. I think this was released before the season 6 episodes were produced, because Justin Bradley’s Arthur voice sounded higher.
Even though Arthur Conquers a Cut used the same title card animation as Arthur’s Knee, Brain read the episode title instead of Binky. Also, the text was blue instead of red.
Interesting how despite being produced as part of the Season 6 production cycle, the alternate scene has the color palette match the one from Seasons 1 to 3, since Season 6 introduced a new color palette for the show. (Contrary to popular belief, the show used digital coloring and compositing from the start, but they did change the computer system and software a few times.)
I've never seen this before! And I've been a huge arthur fan since I was 3(1997). Interesting they added animation/story to the original arthurs knee episode. EDIT: And even a word from us kids segment created for it!
personally, the fact that this was a re-dubbed version of “arthur’s knee” (with season 6 voice actors for 2001), makes me want to view this as my only version of “arthur’s knee” that i’ll watch (especially as Justin Bradley is my all-time favorite voice actor for the arthur character (my opinion here), though shame that he was only on just season 6)
Here is the full episode. I originally uploaded the whole episode but PBS blocked the video.

Arthur sounds different here! Really cool find. The alternative scene feels more realistic than Arthur going to the doctor.
Well, Justin Bradley voiced Arthur. That was in 2001. Same year. And he was the only actor in 2001 Arthur season to voice him.

Yeah, this is lost media, that i never knew exsisted. It seems like Arthur and D.W.'s voices where re-recorded by their season 6 voice actors.
Thank you for finding this would love too see the fully episode with these changes

@@EddboyBlue Thank you!

What do you mean it sounds just the same as Season 6 here
Here’s an example: His voice sounded higher when he said, “Mom! Make her stop talking!”.

It feels like an Alternate version of Arthur's Knee. Nice find.

The animation is so fluid too

Yeah, I think the version most people are familiar with is where he goes to the doctor and gets a tetnis shot, rather than already being up to date
This sounds like it was an added scene. His voice doesn't sound like Michael Yarmush.
Nice an Arthur deleted scene
this is awesome eddie!
I didn’t know it was existed.
Extended Arthur’s Knee
When I got a scar over my eye I told an adult Rafiki who cleaned the cut that’s important for first aid right
Deleted scene?
More like a replaced scene
Rare
Yo Mama!
