I remember the Australian edition of this show! It was a real treat to watch this unfold every week, and finding episodes of the show are so hard! I remember the first episode of the Australian edition: coconut!
I have most of the episodes if you want them. I can soon link them in these comments via google drive links. I’m going to ask a friend of mine to upload them to his channel soon too. He specialises in posting obscure Aussie tv shows…
Listening to the judges while they were tasting it sounded like they liked the challengers dishes just as much as the Iron Chef's! In fact there were a couple of comments that had me thinking they thought the IC's chocolate and raspberries was too sweet! Judge #1 didn't like the presentation of the challenger's first dish but then said it was "very good"! No problem with the IC winning but I thought the scoring didn't reflect the comments made during tasting and should have been closer!👨🍳🦂
I would like to see more of this series. It may have failed but i'd give it try. Also, where is the 20 min starter dish or culinary curveball? Not having those could have been the downfall.
@@ChrisBadenoch did you know that Iron Chef is coming to netflix they have a new Iron Chef show coming in June called Iron Chef quest for an Iron Legend
So disgusting the way the iron chef tasted directly on the spatula and then put it back into the chocolate. Is this common practice in restaurants?! Ughh...
Well this is a better adaptation than the UK Iron Chef. And it’s clear most international adaptations of Iron Chef is following the successful Iron Chef America model. This is a difficult show to pull off.
I agree but here's my point it's hard to be at the same level as the original Iron Chef I really like what they tried to do and make it different and I agree that the rule of the first 20 minute dish and the curveball was what Iron Chef America's downfall and what made the food network take it off the air for me I would rank this as third in my list of Iron Chef shows sure Iron Chef america was good but what had me watching Iron Chef America at the start it was close to the original Iron Chef as they could do but that's just me

Woah! The Iron Chef American chairman is on Australia's IC?! Nice!
neither did I until I saw his face, it is interesting that the chairman of ICA would have duties for foreign versions as well
Iron Chef is excellent!🇦🇺
the same chairman from Iron Chef America!
He's an actor!

Several eps will be posted soon to RUclips. I have most of them and I’ve been meaning to put them up on yt for some time now.
The network must hate Chris. I can't imagine a more disadvantageous ingredient.
I cringe when they called the vacuum pack and sous vide machine
Cacao And Beer Can Go Together.
Atleast it wasn't Adriano Zumba , Chris did really well
Love how they have a real Frenchman for Iron Chef French. Guillaume Brahimi is a beast in the chef world. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillaume_Brahimi
When Was This On Australian Television?.
I’ve seen this Chairman dude in Iron Chef America. Why is he in Australia?!
He is just an actor

@@ChrisBadenoch It’s still pretty awesome that he’s in Australian version of Iron Chef.
No where near as good as the og, Iron Chef Japan. 🇯🇵

I can see why this failed. It does not have the heart of the original!

The Only Thing Even Remotely Asian Let Alone Japanese On This Iron Chef Is The Chairman.
Ok so the guy states that he is not a chef but instead a passionate home cook, why is he on this show taking on Iron Chef’s?
Why indeed. Australian TV is just a cringe impersonation of the real thing
I hate competition
not even one Asian style chef ! lmfao !
Ugh this is bad. I thought William Shatner was a bad Chairman but this is a hundred times worse. At least Shatner tried.
