I really liked Africa. The location was magnificent and the characters were 1st class: Ethan, Tom, Lex, T-Bird, Kelly Goldsmith and more. Thrilling tv even in a slower season gamewise.
The bit about Frank is even funnier now because it has been 20 years and there are people right now who were in that age group he's criticizing at the time who SWEAR their generation was perfect and it's these dang kids now with no respect and these liberal ideals and yada yada. It's a vicious cycle that never ends 😂
Jeff is WAY too obnoxious these days. The opening immunity challenge of Africa is one of the most intense challenges in Survivor, and Jeff running his mouth the entire time would NOT make it better. In fact it would completely take me out of the immersion of the competition.
18:40 damnn. i mean tbh, if she felt firm on her choice and truly felt that it wasnt just cold feet and it wasnt right for her then i respect that. better that then stay and regret it and it becoming painful for both of them later on. thats definetly an unfortuante situation to be in for the both of them.
This video makes me really miss the days when Survivor was like a huge fcking deal and was like super important to people in general lol I mean even Eminem got in on this 😂 when Fairplay did the dead grandma lie, the entire country was talking about it. For literal YEARS.
I have a .. kind of dark theory lol clearly the boulder challenge was insane. Even a 5 year old could look at that and know it's a horrible idea. So it begs the question.. how did an entire room full of grown adults discuss this idea and come to the conclusion that it's something they should do? WELL.. I have to wonder if they *wanted* someone to get seriously hurt in a dramatic way. Skupin falling in the fire was HUGE at the time. Perhaps they wanted another headline-making injury..? 🤷♀️
I thought they told us in-episode that like 80% or some high ass percentage of everything the local tribes consume is blood and milk..? Lol that's what I loved about the old eating challenges. They would use actual local delicacies. I guess thats why they don't seem to do the food challenges anymore bc it would start to become the same things over and over lol although they could just redo some of the good ones from the past 🤷♀️
I feel like a Big Time reality show would have done well on a different channel lmao I didn't even know about this until but I def would have watched lmao I love Big Tom
Aww.. that's cute that Big Tom did Survivor bc his wife was a fan and wanted him to lol I've been asking my husband forever to apply bc I know he would be good at it but he doesn't watch the show like he refuses to give it a chance ☹ so I don't think he really knows what the whole game entails. I know he would do well in challenges, and he would really do well with strategy and social game. He is the BEST judge of character I've ever known. Like he will immediately know upon meeting someone if they're generally decent or secretly a total sscumbag lmao and he's right every time. Soooo many times over the years he would claim someone was a pos for absolutely no reason, and every single time that person would later prove him right. And he's really good at knowing when people are lying, which is helpful. Damn like I'm really convincing myself that I need to get him to do this lol
This season was, for me, one of my top three favorites. I was so furious watching the lazy younger people steadily voting out the older more diligent players on their tribe, but then the swap came, and turned the tables on them, that lifted this season to immortality for me. I was gratified watching those slackers drop after that. Silas was--going in--my fav, but then he showed that he was a coward and I was glad to see him dumped. As for my fav series, Amazon. Doing the first male v female was great, only problem it did not last long enough. The women should have been forced to stay on their tribe the entire time--up to the merge. By mixing the sexes, we saw EXACTLY the same girl manipulates boy crap that became the regular thing from season 2 up to present day.
It's kind of a shame that the entertainment industry is so oversaturated now.. in the early 2000s we had, what? Like 60 channels? Streaming didn't exist yet. I don't even think digital cable existed yet lol that why Survivor was able to become so huge. Now there's just sooooooo much to watch that it's hard to find anything lol
@mattstanger675 His views were unpopular to the tribe, it’s not a biased take. Several people mention it on camera, even his ally at the time said he should stop talking about his political opinions. Whether that means she disagreed with his statements or simply thought he shouldn’t be voicing them is up for interpretation. Now adays I’d say homophobia and misogyny to that degree are definitely unpopular meaning the majority of Americans do not subscribe to them (over 50%). Back then, it might not have been as unpopular of an opinion as it is now.
Which season should I cover next?
Here is every secrets video I have made so far! - ruclips.net/p/PL-J4ldj2BdE2McwzPjDDJAuBDHZriyYOG

I really liked Africa. The location was magnificent and the characters were 1st class: Ethan, Tom, Lex, T-Bird, Kelly Goldsmith and more. Thrilling tv even in a slower season gamewise.
I like Africa too
It's my favorite old school season, and Ethan is my favorite winner.
Awwww...Brandon. I loved Brandon, even when he was not being lovable. I hope he knows now that he was absolutely a good choice for the show.

Seeing the generational fight in season 3 proves that its just the same fight, different generations.
Big Tom deserves his respect and love. He deserved his spin-off much sooner.
I love big Tom he’s hilarious
I can’t watch the old challenges with no commentary by jeff, it’s so quiet 😂
Honestly, the biggest culture shock of going back and watching OG seasons. Lol
He started doing it in season 5, namely with the infamous attack zone challenge, but by season 6 it is like the Jeff we know and love.
@@OnceUponAnIsland "What are you doing!? NOWHERE NEAR THE ATTACK ZONE!!" 😂😂😂
I actually like it better.

I’ve never seen that commercial with Richard. Admittedly, I chuckled. Possibly guffawed.
"Lex, you thought the person who voted for you was Kelly...
But IT WAS ME!!! T-BIRD!!!"
This makes me wanna watch old school survivor again. 😊
Thank you for posting the video. I loved this season.
Really, really enjoyed this season! Thanks for doing the Secrets!
So.. production got an electric fence and armed guards .... and the cast literally got some dead branches to build a makeshift fence with lmfao
One of my favorite seasons!
Mine too

That was funny when Jonny FairPlay said his grandmother had died

"Jeff Probst is all hands" XD
Jeff Probst IS all hands LOL
This is my brothers fav season over hvv cagayan cambodia and the likes. It’s for many reasons but big tom is the factor that tips the scale
Love these thanks

You should do a video of all the survivors who’ve been recruited
Great idea! The patrons pick what videos I make!
@@OnceUponAnIsland how does it work?
Every month they nominate and vote for what videos I make, including story videos.
22:18 wait .... RHINO?! And then RYNO from Pearl Islands 😯 omg Simpsons predicts the future, yet again!
Wow I had no idea Ethan almost did not go on the show
One of my favorite locations next to Australia
That was a pretty cool watch.

I never realized how much Frank Garrison looks like Coach Buzzcut from Beavis and Butt-Head…
loved africa
Me too I loved big Tom & Kim powers

#4 frank is THE MAN! after hearing his on this episode.. hes what canada and USA needs. stand up guy.
Just because Frank's beliefs don't align with the looney left doesn't mean they're unpopular.
You are exactly right. He had morals. He had a work ethic. Nothing about him was phony or fake.
