Nice video, cannot wait for mine to arrive!!! There’s also the opening blue chest stripes or a “manipulator arms” that also pop out on the new one for even more R2-D2 dexterity! :-) I do wish Hasbro had integrated the Periscope like Kenner did with the “Sensorscope” over 40 years ago….i don’t get why no one does such a simple bit of screen accuracy (I fully intend on customizing mine!). Also, is there any place in the pop up neck column to hold the 2 blue dome panels when popped off? I don’t see any slots or even holes that the under legs could stick into, maybe another thing to customize! Regardless of my 2 suggestions I do think Hasbro did an excellent job and this R2 is light years ahead of that misshapen, under-scaled little baby droid they released back in 2014! :-)
Thank you I'm glad you liked the review. I totally missed the opening blue chest stripes but yes the are there. your suggestions for added screen accuracy would have been nice if they had been included I agree. Whilst there are no specific places for the dome panels to be stored they do easily fit under the dome and the tower could easily have a couple of holes drilled into it to peg them into. I totally agree that this is so much better than the original R2. Thanks again for the great feedback.
Nice review mate. The one accessory you mentioned, you said it was a blaster. It’s actually the welding gun R2 was using to put C-3PO’s legs back together on the Falcon at the end of ESB.😁
@@kevinmarshall410 Hi. I'm afraid not. This is not a 3.75" figure like the old star ways toys or the newer Vintage collection ones. This is a 6" Black Series figure. I very much doubt that we will see an x-wing in this scale from hasbro anytime soon, or any other vehicles to be honest. They did a few including a first order Tie fighter and a TESB snowspeeder, but they seem to be reluctant to make others now. The only vehicle that I can think of that would be appropriate for this artoo would be Lukes landspeeder.
While the newer Artoo has some really neat engineering tricks, I really do much like the older one's darker shade of blue more, so I got him instead. *_Oh and because 40th Anniv. Artoo is sold out everywhere._*

I'm glad you liked the review and thank you for the info on the welding gun, that's a great little detail👍
@@paulsstuff1969looks very impressive. Will it fit in a Vintage Collection Red Five X-Wing or some other size?

Yeah, that makes way more sense.
@@paulsstuff1969 maybe a Jedi Starfighter?
Excellent video the only r2d2 I have in black series is the empire strikes back apart from that I have the diecast ones
Thank you, I also have the dirtied up Dagohba R2. I am hoping that they might redo that version on this newer body now too.
