REALLY well put together, and perfect timing to get people caught up on the entire universe of Diablo before the release of Diablo 4! I've been a fan for 23 years, and this'll definitely be my go-to link to tell people about how to familiarize themselves with the universe.

Never played any Diablo games and maybe this didn't sum everything up so well but who the hell is Inarius? The archangel that is in hell, he wasn't mentioned in any part of this and just shows up in hell in Diablo 4.
Hey so probably worth checking this video out, ruclips.net/video/BfBhsaBj8Nk/видео.html It explains who the angels & demons are and their place within the world, what they stand for and will probably give you some of the answers you want,
Makes perfect sense, between the 2x videos, it should bring you up to speed. Inarius wasn’t really mentioned much previously because he was locked up in hell, Heaven had no love for him so wouldn’t have wanted him free
I think the Necro will always be overpowered no matter how much the nerf it haha Personally I think the Sorcerer class was the most broken after playing the 5x classes
Ah I didn't play in the slam, so this was based on the early access open/closed beta a few weeks ago. Shame if they completely crippled the Necro - I didn't think it was possible though to be honest For context though, this is what I was running in the open beta, ruclips.net/video/sf-ccc_kE20/видео.html
Man I never played these games and just finished watching the whole video. Oh my gosh. Tyrell seems like coolest one. About to show that by three they come video to my nephew. He’s six years old.
I really like what Blizzard have done with Lorath and the voice acting for that character is incredible. Cain left some rather large shoes to fill but Lorath is a great character for it and Ralph Ineson nails the voice acting.
4:26 Wow.. I never thought Col. Campbell is still present in your "mission" in Diablo I long after briefing and debriefing tons of soldiers including Solid Snake. :D I'm new to the Diablo world and found your summary videos interesting and easier to digest among many others. Looking forward to binge watch them all! Thank you!
"But within her beats a mortal heart that will one day be tempted to corruption" Dont throw stones in glass houses Tyriel, we just saw your brother the angel betray you and turn to darkness
I only just started playing the games and I’m super interested in the lore. The anime scene where the angels are fighting the demons and then fighting Diablo- Is that from a movie or a series, or from a game? Are there any movies, shows or books?
So the anime video you are referring to was a one-shot created by Blizzard to explain some of the lore pre Diablo 3. Sadly there are no official TV Shows or Movies for the Diablo series. There are however several official books which you can purchase from Blizzard/Amazon. You may also enjoy this video which is more of a deep-dive into the Diablo lore, ruclips.net/video/BfBhsaBj8Nk/видео.html
This shows the cutscenes and a general gist of the lore. But nothing is explained. Who is the nephalym or whatever? How did they defeat death. Things just...happen
as far as i know, the nephalem are basically humans that lilith (daughter of evil?) and inarius the archangel created on the planet sanctuary. They were originally part demon and part angel, but inarius limited the amount of power they had through the world stone, to make them weaker.
I'm confused about what seemed to happen between "Wrath" and "Tyrael's Sacrifice" for Imperius to be seen as the leader still? I felt left to assume that his actions, as well as Auriel herself muttering 'sacrilege' in the Wrath scene, that everyone would be at least looking at him funny.
I never understood why the barbarians saw a massive horde outside their gates and decided to (1) send a single guy out there and lock him out, and (2) extend the bridge, such that the demons can be cross the chasm and besiege the gate directly. One massive blunder, and an utter waste of one man's life
maybe it's just me, but in the first diablo 2 cinematic does anyone else notice the shit hits the fan when what looks like a spirit leaves him and stops when it returns? i've always thought of this as the actual person's soul, being pushed out by diablo and fighting to come back.
Bro I forgot our D3 character is still alive. What if in Diablo 4, Lilith's corruption gets to our D3 character? Will our character from D3 become the enemy???
I'll be honest, as a fan of 1 and 2's story and world crafting, I was disappointed in 3...it felt like a massive drop in quality of writing, plus the high fantasy stuff felt like a slap to the face after so many years waiting. That being said D4 looks better honestly, I'm excited for it.
From a lore perspective, Baal is trapped inside Tal Rasha's body which he had fully possessed by the time Marius removes the stone. He uses Tal Rasha to trick Marius in giving him his soulstone which then releases Baal from Tal Rasha's body as it is no longer required and then you see Baals true form at the gates of Sescheron.
Not quite, as I understand it Baal's soul was trapped within the Soulstone but he had possessed the mage who imprisoned him inside his body 'Tal Rasha'. So Baal needed his soulstone to take control of his soul once again and so posed as Tyrael and tricked Marius into giving him his soulstone in the Prison. Once he had obtained his soulstone, he then took on his true form.
Enjoy bud, you may want to give this video a whirl too, it's a bit more in-depth, ruclips.net/video/BfBhsaBj8Nk/видео.html Having played through a good amount of the game so far, I can tell you, it's well worth the wait! Best of luck with D4 my friend :)

Internet! Help me decide! I am catching on the lore of Diablo as i've never played before.. So im just wondering if getting the deluxe or ultimate edition is even worth it.
Probably not to be fair, in my opinion the deluxe edition was worth it for the 4-days early access. Without that, standard edition is probably the best one to go for, that’s my opinion
Inarius was cast down from the high heavens for creating Sanctuary and was sent to hell as the angels felt betrayed by his actions Sufficed to say, that changed him and now we he wants to return to his home, the high heavens
