Coach Julia - Dutch Waltz Virtual Test

Hello Skaters! In March 2024 I finally took and passed my first 6 USFS Solo Pattern Dance tests. These are the Preliminary and Pre-Bronze dances. I have been skating these for years but never have taken the time, or really had a good opportunity to test them. Recently I realized that I could just virtually test them, and so that is what I did. Below are the links to the virtual test videos that I submitted for review. I was so delighted to get really positive feedback on these dances. Now I just have a little more than a dozen to go and I will have my official USFS Gold Medal in solo pattern dance. Early! I just wanted to say that I really love your videos, and that they have helped me so much. I am a beginner skater (I can do crossovers, a bit of a wobbly Waltz jump, and a small spin. I also have Jackson ultima figure skates.) I’ve done some lessons and I do public skates a lot! And I watch your videos on the morning of my lessons and they help me so much. If it wasn’t for you I would not be able to do crossovers and a wobbly waltz jump for atleast another month. Thank you Julia, you are my favourite online coach! ❤❤❤

I am a beginner as well but not yet into waltz jump (though I know how it goes). My pair of skates was bought last month, same brand as you now have; afterwards, I watched certain videos and learnt that Jackson boots were sold with guards and soakers. When I bought them in my city, no guards were gifted. I must buy guards and soakers separately and I was mildly grouchy at the shopkeepers. They said they had no idea what it was like in America. Is it true that Jackson boots bought were gifted with guards here in USA? 😐
