It really takes discipline, because by the time the night hits, you might be too tired to plan your next day. So you have to have the discipline to plan around having a night routine.

In 2017 I was working a dead end desk job and was extremely depressed. It had always been my dream to become a history teacher, but due to my poor GPA in college, I was not able to get a certification. I decided one day that I needed to go back to school to correct my GPA and reach my dream. It was not easy, I had to retake a years worth of courses to improve the grades on my transcripts. After that first year in 2018, I then needed to apply to a graduate program to get my masters degree AND become certified to teach in my state. I was accepted into a program and finished with a masters degree and a 3.8 GPA. I got hired as a history teacher and I’m now a 4 year veteran teacher. I am living my dream and it often feels like I am living a second life compared to the one I had before.
I don’t write this to brag or to praise myself, only to inspire others. I just needed to take that first step to get to where I knew I needed to be. A lot can change in a year, and a lifetime can change in 5 years.

It reminds me again to restart the things that I have skipped because they were difficult, but now I wanna face more challenges and hardships in my life towards my goal because they help to become more successful and to become a new version of myself.
