Great work. Squash will definitely get away from you and cover as much ground as they can. I love your archway for them... keen to see how they do growing up that. I'm going to try and plant mine somewhere else this year and give them space to grow where they won't get in the way of other crops.

Thanks so much! I should have down it earlier (as soon as they started coming out the ground really) but I'm excited to see how they're doing when I go back at the weekend! If I had more space, I would just leave them to do their thing as they did well that way last year but I planted too many in a small space this year!

Thanks so much Jack! I had a look at some photos from last year and I can't believe the difference. Feel so proud of myself for how far it's come!

Raspberries give out runners underground so they can come up quite a distance from where they were planted.
Plot is looking great, don't forget ant powder for your shed. X

Oh thanks, I didn't know this so it could possibly be the raspberry! I may try and plant it up :)
I wanted to give it a good sweep before I powdered again but I might just have to go for it haha

Those purple carrots look amazing well done! It’s taken me four years to get a successful carrot harvest this year 😂

Thank you :) I highly recommend purple carrots if you can, they taste amazing and I've never had problems getting them nice and big! I'm glad you managed to get a good harvest this year!

I have 2 strimmers and the string just causes me endless issues. Yours seem to better as you are not endless stopping and starting after 30 seconds or so to pullstring through, etc. What make is your strimmer, so I can get some idea on what to get. Nice plot bgy the way

Thanks so much :) It's the 'Bosch Power for all 18V 65mm Cordless Grass trimmer EasyGrassCut 18-230'. I think it's the one down from the top but I prefer the handle on this one and it was cheaper. I like this one as the battery is the same as my Bosch drill so technically can have 3 fully charged batteries for large jobs. It's an investment but in my opinion, it's worth it.

Is Gemma's Allotment also known as Gem in the Garden? TIA I also just subscribed to your channel. I am really enjoying the UK Allotments even though I am in the US.
