- Alien Fresh Jerky in Baker, CA is one of the most unique roadside attractions in the United States. Starting as just a jerky stand in 2000 in Crystal Springs, NV (near Area 51), the store is now a must stop destination between Southern California and Las Vegas.
Located near the World's Tallest Thermometer and designed as a huge alien space vehicle, Alien Fresh Jerky is like nothing else on Interstate 15. There are plenty of spaceships and aliens to take photos with, tons of snacks (including beef jerky of course), and even an alien Trump.

Baker is one of my favorite towns. We both love AFJ, and have been there many times. We can remember when the thermometer was not working. The last time we were in town, it was up and running again.
I drove along 375 about 20 years ago. It was weird and fun.
I love this place I always use go here as a kid on my ways to Vegas it amazing and would highly recommend to stop by and buy fun stuff

For 20 years I rendezvoused with my camping buddies in Baker.
Apparently nobody in the comment section is aware, but back in 1995 an off world vehicle crashed on the outskirts of Baker and was subsequently retrieved by the U.S. Department of Defense. Its one of the most recent known crashes where an actual flying disc was involved. It came in low and slow one afternoon moving very erratically and minutes later crashed in the dry river bed of the Mojave. I cant help but believe its this incident that possibly inspired the name of this particular establishment.

I went to the alien fresh jerky place already and I saw toys and cute aliens
I've been to Baker a lot over the years. But this must be new. I have old video of me staying at the Bun Boy Motel and I ate at the Bun Boy restaurant.
That is crazy - albeit in a fun way. Someone is clearly having fun with that theme - and apparently making a pretty penny in the process.

Waiting for the Alien casino with its quantum slot machines and blackhole blackjack. Either way, your money disappears never to reappear again.
Seen in Luis' Video, the place got its name because of the greencard he had, which stated he was an illegal "Alien", not area 51.

I believe since the population of baker has not changed for ages that the aliens found a way to make "beef" jerky out of the residents. going there again next week as I'm driving to Vegas my new home

I went by a couple weeks ago. It's open and the hotel is under construction. It looks like its going to be a huge flying saucer.
