I love the movie but it would have been SO MUCH BETTER if the writers lingered on stuff like this more. What I wouldn't pay for a version of the film where we actually see a flashback of JD returning to the tree. It would have added so much character to JD and emotional weight to the story. But I get the feeling the writers were afraid it would make the story too dark for a kids' film. Personally I disagree, kind should learn about dark subject matters so they can better handle it, but I can understand their concern.
Omg this made me cryy....so freaking hard. I always felt bad for jd because to me,he was always misunderstood by his brothers and he never said anything bad or said they were burdens to him,he loved them,and he even said he came back for them....imagine the empty house,the torn pod,a total mess and ruin,he would have been thinking that because of him,all his family members had died. The trauma and the depression he had to have faced,before he heard branch was alive. I always felt bad for John dory even though the writers made him a sorta dickhead who didn't care about his brothers in the movie,but i never thought that. 😭😭❤🩹❤🩹✨✨
