Milo definitely criticized her way too much, to the point where in most scenes its him haunting her. Claggor was a good boy, so it felt like more keeping a memento of him.
@@anthonywiththew he constantly berated her, made her feel worthless, demeaned her, insulted her, tried to convince her sister the only person she had to do the same in private not even when she's around. He absolutely went that far.

also in the Tea Party scene we see Jinx actually shoot at the Mylo doll she made when she gets upset, while on the other hand we never see any aggression towards Claggor from Jinx. Even when she is at her worst in the Tea Party scene - when Jinx hallucinates about Claggor - the first thing she does is put her arms down from the defensive stance she placed them in after seeing her hallucinations of Mylo. Claggor never seemed to be a negative presence to Powder, I think Jinx just feels incredibly guilty and assumes blame from Claggor's spirit.
That last line is kind of.... completely not in character. I doubt that Powder/Jinx has the mental capacity for guilt, at least the kind of guilt normal people would feel. Her version of "guilt" seems to lack a proper understanding of the consequences of her actions. In stead she puts her emotional focus strictly on the feedback she's getting from others afterwards. It's kind of what makes her character so creepy: she could kill you and not feel any shred of remorse, unless somebody disapproves of her for it. In that case she would feel bad, but just about the disapproval.... Like with many people with extreme self esteem issues, her worldview is entirely focused on herself and her own feelings.
@@Simon-A.-Tan your mixing jinx relations and feeling towards third parts with the actitudes she shows towards say vi or silco, basically your assuming she cant feel guilt even an a subconsius level cause she can kill people she doesnt know when thats not how emotions work even less for someone in her mental state, basically the fact she kills a no name cop (for her) remoseless, doesnt automatically mean she doesnt proccess different emotions about her childhood family, honestly is just a simplification of the mind what you said
@@Simon-A.-Tan doesn't feel guilt? How about when she reverse engineered Hextech and after the magic pulse, she runs away while sobbing: "it was an accident!" She knows what she did, she knows it was her fault, and it clearly weighs heavy on her
Also based on when images of Mylo and Claggor appear, Mylo definitely is that negative voice, the self doubt and fear of abandonment and not being good enough, while Claggor represents hope, positive thoughts... the negative voices are way more present in her life so she also represents that with the size difference.
I am agreeing with this theory. Sometimes when Jinx talks to herself, she seems to reply to someone that was not criticizing her or feeding her anxieties, but helping. In her first scene in her lair in Ep4. she starts spinning about appearing weak to Silco and Milo seems to pull her down, but at some point, she hears something, and she gets the idea for the Progress Day raid, to prove she isn't weak. That, for me, is Claggor's voice. Nudging her from time to time with a tiny bit of positive. EDIT: But it could also be Vi's voice, as Jinx mentioned in Ep9 she heard Vi often.
@@laobozu549 We don't have much scene with Claggor interacting with Powder, but I remember in Ep2 he told Milo he was salty because he was afraid Powder would kick his ass again at the shooting game. He also helped Powder gently climb down onto the balcony in Ep1, which was animated like a caring gesture. When the break in ultimately failed in Ep1, Claggor was the one saying the whole project was a mistake, not putting anything on Powder specifically. He felt they as a group were not ready for this job, but he isn't very assertive and was pushed along by Vi. I feel he was supportive of Powder in a more passive-accepting way. He wasn't trying to push her as much as Vi, who was the one with those ambitions for Powder. But I also like the idea of Powder seeing him as a passive witness, small and helpless with enormous eyes.
@@maximemoulin8761 yes you're right. Maybe I didn't pay attention enough. I love the tropes going on with Mylo and Claggor, so much more depth than "they died because they were side characters so anyway". Thank you for clarifying.
I think that theory 1 fits best. We see that he was helpful for Powder in the firsdt episode in the scene in wich Powder is standing on the edge of roof and Claggor says that he will go back and help her. That is why I believe that he represents good memories which are outmunbered buy bad ones and that is why his doll is made small.
Even so he still seemed to be on a team with Mylo, when he says he'd go back and get her he's exasperated and annoyed with her, just like Mylo when he says "omg I told you powder couldn't do it"
@@mossmiller8050Difference is Claggor was still willing to help. He got frustrated and tired but he still didn't bat an eye at supporting her. Mylo straight up just wanted somebody to punch down at and targeted her even when she wasn't doing anything all that bad. One was basically just a normal ass kid, the other was an asshole.
I think she made both of them as plushies at first. But it was never good enough for Mylo, so she kept making it better and better. While in her head, Mylo was taunting her that this doesn't even look like him, and Claggor just gave her his praise and said it was enough.
I don’t know, the way jinx draws on the bombs she creates makes me think this is like her art. Someone who regularly always created wouldn’t stop and get lazy to make a reminder of a dead friend she herself killed.
I wonder if Jinx made Mylo life-sized partially just to beat him, throw him around, show off how much taller and stronger she is than him. And Claggor is someone who she would have held onto, like a toy, because he was big, strong, she thought he would protect her. Maybe she even wanted to hug Mylo, the life-sized Mylo, as she remembers him, and hoping his replica would hug her back, and stop being so mean to her. I think Powder, despite fixating on Vi so much, loved her newfound family, looked up to them. And maybe that love turned into these vicious monsters, this guilt that haunts her.
That makes a lot of sense. Every time Jinx gets aggressive, that aggression is usually directed toward the Mylo doll. You can even spot the “Blah Blah Blah” she’s scrawled around the doll’s chair, mimicking his persistent gum-flapping.
In a Jinx analysis video by Georgia Dow I remember she said she made Claggor smaller than Mylo because Mylo is the negative talk and whilr Claggor is the positive voices. So negative voices haunted her and affected her more than positive voices.
Clogger was her only sibling that never "betrayed" her. Jinx thought Vi abandoned her and Mylo always criticised her. Clogger was the only one who was always there to protect her until he died. So maybe she made Clogger small in order to hug him when she went to sleep and/or to carry around when she was scared.
I think they represent the positive and negative talk in Jinx's head (Claggor and Milo respectively), with Claggor being small and Milo real scale size representing how she tends to listen and give more importance to her negative thoughts, for example in the scene where they are on her back, you can see Milo screaming (meaning that in her head, negative thoughts are so much louder) and Claggor is just there, standing in silence, like the positive talk in her head
Damn. Sometimes I think people forget Powder loved her family. XD When Violet comes back her first instinct is to call out to her and embrace her. Would it be any different if it turned out Claggor, Mylo, or Vander were the ones who survived? Would she be like "Yeah but you were mean to me sometimes so fuck off"? I find that unlikely.
@zeffo9987i think if claggor had survived, he wouldn’t have slapped her in the first place and she would never have gone with silco. mylo would still be the negative voice in her head but claggor would be there to help. plus her sister would probably still be a positive voice in her head and encourage her to keep fighting. if mylo had survived, he would’ve punched her and ran off like vi, probably throwing out a couple more insults die to grief. mylo would still taunt her mentally, but now she would have 2 positive thoughts in her head instead of claggor. in both cases, shed still be haunted by accidentally killing her sister and would probably never want to get close with others again though
I think she *did* care about Vi more as her original sister, but I don't think she would not have been happy her other family, altho Mylo probably would be even more upset than Vi, but that could be tempered by Vander or maybe even Claggor.
Theory #4 Claggor was the first one to be recreated and thus turned out small bcz of lack of experience and little Powder being more comfortable with a doll rather than a life size manequine. Why is he first? He's the most missed family member that isn't an active traumatizing factor like Vi.
Claggor wasn't smaller, he was further away. It is a matter of a physical perception of emotional perspective. Claggor was always supportive of Powder, but he was mostly silent. He does not haunt her, but she won't let him go because of the guilt of his loss. She keeps him because he represents support of the family she lost, Mylo represents the torment of the family she lost. for the past 8 to 10 years this torment has only grown. If you notice Claggor activates when she gets an idea, or a protective instinct (stealing the gem, detecting the firelights, dodging the unseen strike). My theory is Jinx/Powder is hyper-sensitive to her sensory input and also has a form of Synesthesia. Her sensory input is translated into her other senses, and combined with guilt and trauma she translates micro sensory input and presents it to her conscious self as whispered aid or a taunting voice. Delusions do not grant you greater situational awareness, yet that is exactly what Jinx gets from these voices. The Mylo voice is always a sensory amplification of her negative emotional state. Claggor is always a translation of her positive emotions and physical senses. She is unbalanced, as seen by a larger Mylo and a smaller Claggor. Jinx is tormenting herself by trying to remain the little girl her sister loved, once she lets this falsehood go, she stops being tormented by them, she let's claggor go, and also lets Mylo go. She is still tormented, but sees that she has been the one tormenting herself all this time, not some internal ghosts of the past. Now she will seek to torment her sister, until Vi lets go of Powder. Because Vi is being tormented by trying to hang on to a little girl that doesn't exist anymore either.
Clagor only haunts her because she feels guilty about his death. She doesn't have any negative memories of him, and he would probably forgive her. Milo would totally blame her and be very vocal about it, because we've seen him blame her and be vocal about it. It's his voice that always tells her she'll never be good enough. He's a huge part of why she is the way she is.
even tho we didn’t get to know claggor much in the show, i literally cried so much when he died, not only bc it was so sudden, but bc he was just such a gentle, helpful, sweet character. So because of that i like to believe that jinx meant for it to be a memento
The way I see it, Claggor was always kind and supportive, so him being a plush allows jinx to always have him in that same-ish role. Milo on the other hand was constantly hard on her for everything. Berating her every move. Bad tends to overshadow the good so that's why we see Milo as a hardened puppet-like figure
Well, the thing is, while Claggor never teased or abused Powder that we ever saw, but neither did he defend her. And there was some body language that he was frustrated with Powder, too. When Powder balked at doing parkour during the Talis heist, he said "I'll get her" in a resigned voice, like it was something he was used to doing, like a chore. His tone was that of a boy having been told to take out the trash, or clean his room. So, while Claggor was not a tormentor for Powder, neither was he an ally. Since he was neither tormentor nor friend, maybe his small effigy is a reflection on how little he meant to her, or at least it's reflective of his psychological impact he had on her compared to Mylo.
While that is true I think it's important to remember that all of them were traumatized children and didn't know any better and that we shouldn't blame too much for anything. They did their best. And yeah Mylo was shitty a lot but I think if he would have grown up he would have learned from his mistakes and apologized at least that is what I hope
@@xylypotatohead3947 yeah while bullying is never ok. I don't believe that Mylo is a bad character himself. While Mylo turned out to be a negative force to Jinx, I do believe he cares about Powder too just in a different way of showing. We all have siblings who act like that. And I don't believe about the op said that Claggor is also a negative force. I do believe Powder look at him like an older brother. Not as much as Vi but you can see the dynamic there.
@@xylypotatohead3947 I wasn't making accusations, I was stating facts. We all know that children can be cruel. They may not be bad kids at their cores, but it doesn't change the fact that they contributed to Powder/Jinx's psychological damage. The fact they didn't mean to doesn't change the result.
@@xylypotatohead3947 they were explaining it from Jinx/powder perspective and i can confirm that younger siblings often don't see the whole picture when the adults scolds them or don't give them the attention they want , they just see how the adults are treating them and that influence how they view them.
A therapist pointed pointed out that Mylo and Clagger seemed to always be there when she had intrusive thoughts with Mylo being negative and Clagger being positive. Theory 3 seems the most plausible to me but it could also be a mix of all three of the theories.
That rings true to me. Maybe the size difference was just supposed to be confusing and off putting, a way of showing that Jinx's reasoning is strange and maybe a bit random.
In the enemy video, Clagger’s always smiling fondly at Powder, and he’s always watching over her. I think those two were closer, he stuck up for Powder all the time too through the show
Personally I interpreted how jinx recreated her version of Claggor as how he was a bystander. He was a kinder peacekeeper but we never see him go against what milo was doing to powder. We only ever see vi stand against milo despite Claggor being there to see everything. His presence in jinxes mindset is represented by how much he hurt jinx, so even though he never outright hurt powder, he never really helped her too. Hence the soft stuffed plushie that’s in the end, useless. This is just my theory in the perspective of someone who was bullied. The bullies (aka milo) obviously did the most damage, but what makes it worse were my so called “friends” who just watched and never did anything to stop me from being bullied. In a way, I see them similarly to claggor
you are right. I see Claggor more like a bystander as well but actually we see Claggor bullying Mylo several times but it is not as apparent and loud as what Mylo does to Powder. In ep.1 he smackes Mylo when they break in to the Kiramman's workshop and later in their hideout in ep 2 he says to Mylo "Are you worried Powder is gonna beat you again?". That is actually a part why I think that Mylo picks so hard on Powder. Imo he rivals(!) for Vi's attention and wants to elevate his confidence (since he is the second weakest of the group) by picking on the smallest of the group. Little doll Claggor gives Jinx her active ideas like when in ep4 she decides to steal the gemstone the idea was proposed by Claggor. Mylo is only critizizing her and giving her negative thoughts about judging situations (see ep.6 reunion + 7 on the bridge). This is because he always empahized his picking on her inabilities and weaknesses. He only ever complained and never gave actual ideas because he depended heavily on his group and Vi as well. The reason Jinx is haunted by such a big Mylo is shown in his size. And therefore you can pretty easily guess the reason for that. It is in fact not his picking on her that made him haunt her in such a terrifying way. In fact it is because of Vi's confirmation in ep3 that he managed to haunt her like this. While many focus on Vi's sentence "Because you are a Jinx" the actual reason is actually imo in the next sentences to come that settled for him to haunt her from then on. After Vi said "Because you are a Jinx" she added the fatal sentence "Do you hear me? Mylo was RIGHT" (Powder POV:" Mylo was RIGHT all along!"). And this sentence negates ALL of Vi's year long confidence building and her encouraging her because in this moment Vi proclaimed herself to be a liar in Powder's eyes. In ep1 she said to Powder "Mylo is wrong, Powder. You are stronger than you think". That is the exact opposite of what she said before and because of this traumatic event the negative sentence sticks with her as the truth... [Powder POV: "So she always thought I was useless and just lied to me. And now she left me - because I am weak."]. In this moment she gave all the validation for ALL of Mylos previous bullying, negating all the previous encouragement - even though she didn't mean it like that, but Powder took it that way and later she didn't get a chance to explain herself after cooling down because she was taken away. So in this moment Mylo's haunting demon and the Jinx persona were born because Vi validated all of his bullying and therefore he has that big size as well later on. Later, we get a confirmation of that theory in ep 7 on the bridge. Jinx actually opposes Mylo when she brushes him of when Vi and Caitlyn are hugging for goodbye. But the moment they took out the gemstone and then Vi rushes (!) additionally to Caitlyn's help when she heard a gun shot, Mylo just grows larger and toweres over Jinx. Jinx in this moment says "liar". Which means in her POV that Vi lied again when she said in ep6 at the reunion that she is only there for her and not for the gemstone. This confirms in Jinx's POV her sister again to be a liar and therefore confirms that Mylo, who was just giving her negative thoughts again, was actually right again. It is then, that Jinx unleashes her firelight bombs - regardless of ANYONE who is on the bridge (including Vi)- and later she is firing again at Vi and Caitlyn because she got a hallucination of Caitlyn being a devil. This is in my opinion why Mylo haunts her in the first place and secondly how his size is displayed.
I went through something similar. But it was because I never told my friends, and some bullies were your friend's friends. It was different before though. If you want me to elaborate more on the event feel free to reply, but I won't tell now in case it sounds like I'm bragging. I'm not
@@Let_Toons yes, Mylo was the one that called her a Jinx first (or to be more precise, said that she "jinxes" every job) but actually being called a Jinx by her sister with the addition of "Mylo was right('all along')" is in fact the moment Jinx was born, later on shaped by Silco and - like he said correctly... - perfected by his death.
Another theory, kinda branching from yours: Mylo made himself big in a sense, talking loudly and boldly doing anything to make himself heard. Just wanting to be validated and seen. Claggor however was more quiet, and (on purpose or not) made himself small. He was probably more introverted and didn’t seek the attention that Mylo did. And with this I just don’t think that he was as big of a monster to her like Mylo was. Claggor never spoke meanly to powder or tried to put her down. I don’t think that she really remembers too much about him, just that he was there and a part of their little family. So Mylo just kind of overshadowed his presence I guess, idk.
I like how Claggor's spectre is stuck in a single corpse-like expression, never really opening his mouth, just staring at Jinx with empty eyes. Milo endlessly screams and berates her to remind her of all the ways she destroys everything she touches. But Powder was used to bickering with Milo, so Jinx can convince herself that he's just lying. Claggor doesn't appear much, his voice is distant. Almost like he's avoiding her. As if he doesn't need to be around to remind her that no, it is not a lie. At least one time, it was true.
you know how sometimes when you’re in psychosis you get a conflicting “good” and “bad” voice? I think that’s what mylo and claggor are for her. I get conflicting voices when i’m in psychosis and they manifest as my abuser and my first love. the little plush reflects how she can hold and trust claggor. he is warm, he is soft, he is comforting. mylo is sharp, he is critical, he is mean. that’s how I interpreted it anyway.
I think the third theory makes the most sense! It could also be that the set/prop designers wanted some visual contrast when Jinx makes the toys--one big and one small is more interesting than if they were the same size. 🤗
I've heard somewhere before that since Mylo is usually the one that negatively talks towards Powder, he's more "present" like you said. It's a representation of how the negative self-talk we hear in our heads are usually louder than the positive affirmations. Claggor represents the positive self-talk that Jinx hears, like in that one scene where Jinx says that she'll "show them" after getting a visual of Claggor's doll. In that same scene, we get a strong visual of Mylo talking while Jinx tells herself that Silco thinks she's weak now, like how Mylo also use to tell Powder. The negative self-talk we often hear in our heads stems from childhood, so it would make sense. I don't think it had anything to do with the relationship that Powder had with Claggor. Just a representation of how the negative things we tell ourselves can outshine the positive things.
My theory is close but a bit different. Claggor is a “doll”, a toy, a comforting object of affection for her, something to cuddle with and think of her big brother and sister, and how they made her feel safe and happy, except she’s disowned Vi at this point so Claggor gets to fill her spot too. Mylo was constantly berating her and mistreating her and in her mind, he was right. He’s the devil on her shoulder that screams that she’s wrong, worthless, broken, a JINX! She made him full sized like a living reminder, and a punching bag for when she feels conflicted. Most of all, he’s a reminder that deserves to never be overlooked. She can’t look away from Mylo.. he takes up a bunch of space in her room, always judging her and punishing her for killing him. Mylo continues to mock and berate her for killing him, Vi is absent because she “left her”, and Claggor is the comforting presence who would’ve forgiven her and been there for her anyway. She holds her little Claggor when she faces away from Mylo and tries to ignore his whispers as he sits judging her. We see that in her mind, Claggor is always stoic and calm, never angry or sad, he’s just there… he’s a comfort to her because he’s there… he’s not judging her or trying to change her, he’s just there. That’s all she wanted/wants is someone to just be there for her. I believe in the absence of Vi, Claggor is the side that represents Powder. Small, cute and the kindness of her past, and Mylo represents Jinx. Mylo is the one who literally named her Jinx, he never lets her forget that Powder died when he did. Jinx killed them both that day with one stupid mistake. Mylo, and Silco are her tethers to Jinx and for years Claggor was her only tether to Powder… but when Vi returned and Elmo spoke to her, we see that she is capable of regaining those tethers to Powder… we just have to hope that they can form a stronger bond than the ghosts of Mylo and Silco in the future… because she seems to hold onto ghosts more strongly than the living. That’s how I see it anyway.
Claggor was my favorite character from the beginning, I was hoping they'd go somewhere more with his character, it broke my heart to see him killed off because the story wanted to focus on the female protagonists. Some make the case that he was killed off because he isn't a champion in LoL, but think of all the other prominent Arcane characters that aren't. Honestly, rewatching the scene where he "dies", I think it's quite possible he didn't. Milo very clearly gets impaled, but Claggor is simply knocked over right after opening up an entrance, and we don't see his body again after that. If he survived and returns in the story, more supportive than ever, it could be very impactful for Vi to see him alive and he could contribute a lot to her arc. Overall, Claggor is the best kind of character overlooked in the worst way. Killing him off wasn't impactful, although him being absent had been, so showing him alive after all this time would be all the more impactful. He has so much potential, even for representation. When I saw him, the first thing I thought was "Bear." which could be a way to represent another extremely overlooked lgbtq group. aeli-tan-art.tumblr.com/post/669909814113091584/claggor-the-wayfinder-he-plans-the-escape-routes I love this reimagining of what Claggor would've looked like after the timeskip. I just want his character to get developement, I don't care how. Arcane does and excelent job with showing realistic personalities, and Claggor seemed like one you don't see often portrayed.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing me hope that he still alive and i cried when he died because what did he do to deserve to die and also i only saw the rocks fall only on mylo so thank for making this theory i have been searching all over the internet if clagger is still alive but there was none that i could find so i thank you
Their voices represent her insecurities and troubles so Mylo was the most aggressive when alive while Claggor is the one recognized her shooting skills
Also when you see their dead forms during the flare scene, Mylo is mouth wide open, screaming or shouting, something he always seemed to be when he was alive. But Claggor is silent, stoic, his face passive and blank eyed like a doll. He has little expression or action to him there. It also seems to speak to their presence in her memories, with Mylo and his personality and physicality and how much he interacted with her (even though negatively) very memorable and therefore easier to recreate and “louder” in a way, whereas Claggor was the more quiet presence, not speaking directly to her as much and often in the background, to the point where she may not even fully remember him as much anymore
I also thought it was interesting how claggor was standing tall and watchful to mylos wailing when jinx was signaling for vi. It very much read to me that she always saw him as reliable or stalward. Ready to help and act. So yeah, make him soft and comforting for when she was little so she could hold him and vi's rabbits when distressed. Also his doll was made with a smile so absolutely a positive figure in her youth.
all i know is that during the tea party scene we got to see the Mylo doll in more detail and i breathed a sigh of relief bc up until then i thought she'd just kept his corpse
I have a counter offer that their size represents how much pressure she feels from them in her head claggers voice clearly doesnt nitpick and boss jinx about as much as the rat boi does just like when they were alive
If you look closely in the enemy video, you see Powder witnessing someone getting beat up. I believe it was Mylo getting beat up. Since she was unable to help but did watch, Mylo build a grudge towards her. This would explain why he is so hard on her all the time.
Kids absolutely feel a type of abandonment when someone they love/are close to dies without being able to emotionally process it. You feel it’s unfair they left you, and you grow to realize it wasn’t their fault and your emotions were misplaced.
Good job you just made me cry this morning. I’m kidding, I love your analysis’s, it’s so heartbreaking that mylo is always the main voice jinx hears and ‘sees’ during some of her crucial moments of thought though, they all deserved better 😭
So what I want to know is did Vander betray Silco before or after the opening fight on the bridge? Because Vander on the bridge has his beard and we can’t see his arm if there is a scar on it. But Vander in the flashback at the river does not have a beard and both he and Silco seemed much younger. I first thought Vander learned his lesson from the bridge and that was why he had turned against Silco because he was trying to get Silco to stop but he wasn’t listening. So, in their arguing, things escalated. But the flashback seems to indicate they were much younger. So, then what were they fighting about back then? Second thing I want to know, is Silco’s eye a donated eye? Because the woman that was threatening Huck had eyes very similar to Silco’s dark eye. So does Silco use the shimmer to help with his cells to not reject the eye transplant? Singed would’ve been the right doctor to do the operation.
I believe is the first one. He's big and powerfull, but he's nice, chubby and good guy. So as powerfull as he was, he still was that goof ball of kindness.
I really like Claggor, the first time I watched Arcane I didn't care much about him, but watching it again made me change my mind. He was big and powerful, but tried to avoid having to fight. I just love that attitude, being smart, defusing the situation, if it doesn't work he still can beat up two kids at once, fighting is not an issue for him
I think the dolls represent how much emotion trauma they each gave her. Clagger never really said any mean things to Jinx so his effect on her was small. While Mylo was constantly making Jinx sad and insecure so he had a much more traumatic effect on her mind
I think the third theory makes the most sense…like the size of the doll is proportional to the amount of influence the person had/has on creating and maintaining the idea of Jinx
I think its more that Mylo criticized her, which triggered her insecurities, then Vi left her behind to go save Vander, proving to Powder that she was seen as useless by the others. Years on, we see that as a reflection. Mylo is a looming shadow that always takes up space in her safe area, and is frequently the first dissenting voice she hears. Clagor never did that to Jinx, so he gets remembered as a fun toy she remembers
I think the 3rd theory fell in line with my perspective while viewing Arcane. Mylo was the devil on her shoulder and Claggor was the angel. One propping her up and the other tearing her down. Mylo's words of discouragement replay the loudest and are the most hurtful to Jinx, so his physical doll was life sized and terrifying. On the other hand, Jinx cam barely hear Claggor, he's soft and comfortable. Which ties into the setup of Jinx needing a stuffed animals to sleep- Claggor/the voice of hope helps her drowned out the noise.
I also believe it's related to how intensely guilty she feels towards their deaths. Claggor was a pretty chill dude, kind to Powder, took things as they came. Mylo on the other hand always made clear that he wanted to be better, he wanted more and as an excuse for not being able to get it he blamed powder. In the 360 scene Jinx looks almost mournful, Mylo is screaming, crying, frustrated and Claggor is expressionless. While Jinx blame herself for both of their deaths, Claggor seem to be officially dead both in real life and in Jinx's mind, his plushie being a memento of the past not an object to bring the past into the present. Mylo, on the other hand, is still pretty much "alive" for Jynx; always blaming her, reminding her that's she's Jynx and she's the reason he could never do more, be more.
I would almost combine the first and last theory. The doll form is a representation of her memories of him, and the size is a way to show that the circumstances have cause her positive memories to shrink down.
I recently rewatched arcane and I love the first theory, the scene where powder tries jumping the buildings to jayce's place, she was stuck but claggor offered to pick her up and carry her over. Claggor sweetest boy
Way late to this party, but an offshoot of theory 1 makes the most sense. Plushies are a more "modern" version of the stuffed bear given to children as toys, but played with as both a symbol of safety and as a friend. The plushie is Jynx's way of expressing that view of him, how his strength was safety and how his lack of negativity towards her made him a friend in the truest sense. When angry at someone, a small version of them doesn't have nearly the same internal reaction as a life-sized one you can unload upon. And having that lifeless zombie form of someone makes it that much more cathartic when you vent at it. You don't vent at plushies, cuz they're too small and too fragile by comparison - when given the choice, otherwise if all you have are plushie analogs then of course you burn the plushie. But anywho, that's just another story telling device that subconsciously paints the picture of how she sees them to the audience, even if the audience isn't aware of it. We "feel" the lifelike rendition like a tough menacing zombie type entity we don't feel bad for unloading upon while we feel the opposite towards small, cute, plushie things. Thus put feelings connect to the idea of these characters, both for ourselves and for how Jynx filters it, applying that feel to her as well.
I like how Milo is more important to Jinx, he's the voice of criticism, he's the inspiration behind her determination, he's the voice she tries to prove wrong. It reminds me of something either Yung or one of those philosophers would reference; you'd hate this individual for constantly judging you but you want their approval and respect so you work harder to prove yourself all the while resenting said person.
I think that the reason Milo is bigger for Jinx is because Milo was a huge influence on jinx when she was young, when she was Powder. We never see Clagger being a huge jerk like Milo was to Jinx. Milo was always the one saying she always made a mistake or messed up. It even shows when Jinx is hallucinating, it's always Milo and never Clagger, and when Milo does appear in these hallucinations, it's when Jinx is upset in some form away or angry. Milo is always giving Jinx doubt or negative notions in these hallucinations. When we first kind of see these hallucinations of Milo, Jinx is exclaiming that she's not weak. I think the reason why we see Milo a lot, and any negative light in these hallucinations. It's probably because when jinx was little, Milo was the one that always casted out Powder, and put blame on her, and that doubt carried with her. Milo had a bigger impact on Jinx then Clagger did. This also can be shown on why I think this is the case but the first time we see her hallucinate, she's in her room/ workshop. She keeps saying "I'm not weak." Or "he thinks I'm weak." And Milo is appearing. As a child Milo was the one that most likely gave powder the insecurity of being weak and not enough, and that followed with her.
I love Georgia Dow’s analysis about this I feel like it’s the most accurate, which is how milo and claggor represent the negative and positive voices in jinx’s head.
I think is a mix of theory 1 and 3. He never criticized Powder like Mylo did, so Jynx doesn't hear his 'voice' a lot. It's not as present in her head as Mylo 'voice' is, but it's still there. So Jynx sees him as the more quiet, smaller voice in the back of her head, and his doll reflects that.
I could see either theory A or C. For what little time we see of him in arc 1 Claggor has been nothing if not a supportive big brother to Powder. I can definitely see Powder's resentment of Milo and codependency of Vi overshadowing all of that thought. I strongly disagree with a lot of comments theorizing that Claggor post timeskip could be the positive voice to Milo's negative. There are only two times we see visions of Claggor. One in the 'guns for hire' music sequence as an expressionless corps weighing down on Jinx's shoulders and the other at the 'tea party' climax where we see him glaring at Jinx with disgust.
Even in the flare scene when Jinx fires the signal flare and we see Mylo and Claggor around here. Mylo is in aguish and distress and Claggor is just there standing strong.
When I saw the series I thought that Milo represent the negative thoughts in her mind: her self doubt, the "you're and error, weak, useless". With sadly are the predominant thoughts in her mind, that's way the big scale and Claggor represent the positive ones: feeling love, protect, validate bay others, etc. And that is not that present in her life so it much smaller
i wondered if it was also due to the fact claggor was more of a bystander to jinx in her childhood? he never put her down like mylo, but he never stood up for her either. he never cared for her like vi, but he didn't completely ignore her. she views him as having a relatively small role in her environment as a child, but he was certainly still there, as he was important to their family.
I feel like she could have made the Claggor doll first when she was a kid as a means to comfort herself. The doll is a lot like a kid’s toy. She made Mylo’s doll later. She didn’t like Mylo but he haunted her more. So maybe she made the Mylo puppet when she was older, as a way to have a physical embodiment of that side of herself, so that she could physically leave it behind when she needed to, but also so that it could be there to put pressure on her when she was working.
I only just realized that those dolls where representations of claggor and mylo. That makes her aggression with them all the more depressing and disturbing.
Yeah I thought of them as the angel and the devil on her shoulder. Milo is her negative dark voice and Claggor is her positive hopeful voice and the negative voice is winning and growing more powerful.
I always thought it was because he never was negative to her. What I believe was his first line was something close to “I’ll go get her.” Mylo expressed annoyance, Vi didn’t actually move to help her, but Claggor was the first to offer help. She may have kept him small because he never taunted her in her hallucinations like Mylo did. The only time we see him after Ep3 is during the flare scene. He doesn’t bother her.
I think the third theory is most plausible. What was taking up most of my contemplation, though, was wondering why Mylo was really the only visual and auditory hallucination for Jinx, other than him being the most unfiltered bully around her. Claggor had similar feelings, but he wasn't nearly as vocal about them unless he was talking solely with Vi. I'm most surprised that we didn't see direct hallucinations of Vi til the end of the season.
i deffo agree with theroy #3 milo being a life size almost target/crash test dummy makes sence with the amuont of negativity and on going pain between them, while clagor being the little chibi doll shows that her memory of clagor is more posaitive like someone she has lost rather than somone who haunts her
I like theory 2, while theory one is just as (if not a little more) plausible, theory two really shows how demented jinx's thoughts have became after what happened to her
I kind of agree with theory 3, but I'd push it further. The only real thing that mattered to her about Claggor was his silent observation. He was there most of the times Milo attacked her, and he didn't agree or disagree, he ddin't speak. But when you're attacked, people that don't help when they could are seen as siding with the attacker. To Powder/Jinx Claggor is just the silent observer, always present judging and voicing silent agreement. His size doesn't matter if all he does it watch.
Milo definitely criticized her way too much, to the point where in most scenes its him haunting her. Claggor was a good boy, so it felt like more keeping a memento of him.
he didn't just criticize her, he verbally abused her

also in the Tea Party scene we see Jinx actually shoot at the Mylo doll she made when she gets upset, while on the other hand we never see any aggression towards Claggor from Jinx.
You good ol like for your comment . It's 506 , now
That last line is kind of.... completely not in character.
@@Simon-A.-Tan Doesn't she literally feel guilty in that same scene? By killing Silco?
@@Simon-A.-Tan your mixing jinx relations and feeling towards third parts with the actitudes she shows towards say vi or silco, basically your assuming she cant feel guilt even an a subconsius level cause she can kill people she doesnt know when thats not how emotions work even less for someone in her mental state, basically the fact she kills a no name cop (for her) remoseless, doesnt automatically mean she doesnt proccess different emotions about her childhood family, honestly is just a simplification of the mind what you said

Also based on when images of Mylo and Claggor appear, Mylo definitely is that negative voice, the self doubt and fear of abandonment and not being good enough, while Claggor represents hope, positive thoughts... the negative voices are way more present in her life so she also represents that with the size difference.
what makes you say claggor represents hope and positive thoughts? I'm just curious
To me Claggor represented more of the quiet, silent disappointment more than hope and positive things, but idk that's just how I felt about it
@@laobozu549 We don't have much scene with Claggor interacting with Powder, but I remember in Ep2 he told Milo he was salty because he was afraid Powder would kick his ass again at the shooting game.
I think it’s a mix of 1 and 3
@@Aisha_Luv Yeah I can agree with that

@@mossmiller8050Difference is Claggor was still willing to help. He got frustrated and tired but he still didn't bat an eye at supporting her. It's like Claggor is easy to contain, and Mylo isn't
Fourth theory: she made mylo first and realized it was a shit ton of work and got bored then just made a plush for claggor
Claggor would’ve been even more work lol
I think she made both of them as plushies at first. But it was never good enough for Mylo, so she kept making it better and better. While in her head, Mylo was taunting her that this doesn't even look like him, and Claggor just gave her his praise and said it was enough.
I don’t know, the way jinx draws on the bombs she creates makes me think this is like her art. Someone who regularly always created wouldn’t stop and get lazy to make a reminder of a dead friend she herself killed.
@@aexlee7255 True but I feel like it would totally worth it. If he's made of pillows she could hug him any time she starts to miss him🥺
very in character
Feel like hugging Claggor makes more sence, as he was comforting for her and plushies are for huggies, while test mannequins are for beating up.
Makes sense to me
That makes a lot of sense.

XD
When Violet comes back her first instinct is to call out to her and embrace her. Would it be any different if it turned out Claggor, Mylo, or Vander were the ones who survived? Would she be like "Yeah but you were mean to me sometimes so fuck off"? I find that unlikely.
Yeah they’re dumb. People often forget these types of things when watching shows
@zeffo9987i think if claggor had survived, he wouldn’t have slapped her in the first place and she would never have gone with silco. mylo would still be the negative voice in her head but claggor would be there to help. plus her sister would probably still be a positive voice in her head and encourage her to keep fighting. if mylo had survived, he would’ve punched her and ran off like vi, probably throwing out a couple more insults die to grief. mylo would still taunt her mentally, but now she would have 2 positive thoughts in her head instead of claggor. in both cases, shed still be haunted by accidentally killing her sister and would probably never want to get close with others again though
I really like this one, and it makes a lot of sense biographically.
I thought so to, he honestly seemed like a comfort object she might have slept with to “keep the monsters away” when she was still little.
@@koifish8416 god this comment actually caused my heart to sink a little
...like Vi... OR Milo.

It kind of adds for me to the sense of creepiness and a disturbed mind when the dolls a re different. it's chaotic, erratic, illogical.
That rings true to me. Maybe the size difference was just supposed to be confusing and off putting, a way of showing that Jinx's reasoning is strange and maybe a bit random.
In the enemy video, Clagger’s always smiling fondly at Powder, and he’s always watching over her. I think those two were closer, he stuck up for Powder all the time too through the show
No he didn't manz was just a bystander
OR… OR, now hear me out…
Or, she just wanted a lil’ Claggor to cuddle.
I'm not
@@redroseibarahime8755 YES no one talks about the "Mylo was right" frase! With is problably the main reason Jinx clamis Vi created Jinx.
Oof, that's rough buddy
Another theory, kinda branching from yours: Mylo made himself big in a sense, talking loudly and boldly doing anything to make himself heard. Just wanting to be validated and seen. Claggor however was more quiet, and (on purpose or not) made himself small. He was probably more introverted and didn’t seek the attention that Mylo did. And with this I just don’t think that he was as big of a monster to her like Mylo was. Claggor never spoke meanly to powder or tried to put her down. I don’t think that she really remembers too much about him, just that he was there and a part of their little family. So Mylo just kind of overshadowed his presence I guess, idk.
this is probably the most convincing theory i've read in these comments
Great theory. Size of manikin corresponds to loudness of personality. That makes sense to me.
I don't know why, but Claggor is actually my favourite character
you know how sometimes when you’re in psychosis you get a conflicting “good” and “bad” voice?

I love this reimagining of what Claggor would've looked like after the timeskip. I just want his character to get developement, I don't care how. Arcane does and excelent job with showing realistic personalities, and Claggor seemed like one you don't see often portrayed.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing me hope that he still alive and i cried when he died because what did he do to deserve to die and also i only saw the rocks fall only on mylo so thank for making this theory i have been searching all over the internet if clagger is still alive but there was none that i could find so i thank you
@@raffy._.6383 he had a piece of wood impaled him and then he got crushed by rocks, there is no way Milo survived
Their voices represent her insecurities and troubles so Mylo was the most aggressive when alive while Claggor is the one recognized her shooting skills
Mylo lives rent free in Jinx's mind because he always talked down on her as a kid
I like that little soft look he gives her in the music video when they're eating those slug things. Its a cute detail.
Claggor: good memories
Mylo: bad memories
the bad outweighs the good
Claggor, Silco, and Singed are my favorite characters in the show.
he’s a small part of the show and her life really but it was comforting for her. a stuffed animal is comforting and nice to hug.
I think it's because claggor was super friendly so jinx made him a teddy to show his friendly nature
I thought it was because she made it around his actual goggles
The moment I saw him I told myself that he's already my favourite character....then he died. The heartbreak 😭
Claggor was my favorite character.
your theories are incredibly valid, love the one about Mylo, _how do you speak so quickly with no mistakes_
all i know is that during the tea party scene we got to see the Mylo doll in more detail and i breathed a sigh of relief bc up until then i thought she'd just kept his corpse
I have a counter offer that their size represents how much pressure she feels from them in her head claggers voice clearly doesnt nitpick and boss jinx about as much as the rat boi does just like when they were alive
Claggor is actually my favourite character. I pray for a prequel. Like "Gotham"
If you look closely in the enemy video, you see Powder witnessing someone getting beat up. I believe it was Mylo getting beat up. Since she was unable to help but did watch, Mylo build a grudge towards her. This would explain why he is so hard on her all the time.
Being a Psychologist who has studied people like Jinx before, all 3 theories are equally plausible and valid
I enjoy these little breakdowns too much, lol.
I just love that attitude, being smart, defusing the situation, if it doesn't work he still can beat up two kids at once, fighting is not an issue for him
The first one is the theory I personally believe. Good video as always!
Claggor was my favorite character 😭
Your takes are always pretty great!
Claggor was and still is my favourite character in Arcane and I fuckin’ bawled when he died
I recently rewatched arcane and I love the first theory, the scene where powder tries jumping the buildings to jayce's place, she was stuck but claggor offered to pick her up and carry her over. Claggor sweetest boy
It's also pretty common for people to be angry at those who died while in grief
I really respect your work! Thank you for this insight.
Clager gets snuggles, milo is a punching bag.
Bruh rip Claggor he was a good character for how long he lasted 😢
I feel like even as Vi hallucinates Vander, Jinx is going to be hallucinating Silco
Even in the flare scene when Jinx fires the signal flare and we see Mylo and Claggor around here. Mylo is in aguish and distress and Claggor is just there standing strong.
I was thinking the same thing schnee! Those are great points you bring up. I think point #1 is the best answer!
I think claggor was just kind and comforting and what else is kind and comforting plushies
When I saw the series I thought that Milo represent the negative thoughts in her mind: her self doubt, the "you're and error, weak, useless". With sadly are the predominant thoughts in her mind, that's way the big scale
and Claggor represent the positive ones: feeling love, protect, validate bay others, etc.
That makes her aggression with them all the more depressing and disturbing.
you know Jinx better than Jinx knows herself😂
i thought that she made claggor a plushie to show how she considered him to be more of a comforting person
I always thought Milo’s mannequin was his actual skeleton. …
He almost seems to be a remnant of her childhood lacking impact but always present
Yeah I thought of them as the angel and the devil on her shoulder. Milo is her negative dark voice and Claggor is her positive hopeful voice and the negative voice is winning and growing more powerful.
I always thought it was because he never was negative to her. What I believe was his first line was something close to “I’ll go get her.”
Mylo expressed annoyance, Vi didn’t actually move to help her, but Claggor was the first to offer help.
She may have kept him small because he never taunted her in her hallucinations like Mylo did. The only time we see him after Ep3 is during the flare scene. He doesn’t bother her.
I was really curious about that
On my first watch I think I didn't even notice Claggor was there until near the end, at the tea party scene
I'm most surprised that we didn't see direct hallucinations of Vi til the end of the season.
i deffo agree with theroy #3 milo being a life size almost target/crash test dummy makes sence with the amuont of negativity and on going pain between them, while clagor being the little chibi doll shows that her memory of clagor is more posaitive like someone she has lost rather than somone who haunts her
I genuinely though that Milo's "doll" was legit jsut his mummified rotten skeloton
I like theory 2, while theory one is just as (if not a little more) plausible, theory two really shows how demented jinx's thoughts have became after what happened to her
I feel the first ones right, and that he's a plushie so he could comfort her
I wish we had some more scenes with Claggor and Powder
On my first viewing I literally didn't even know there was a Claggor doll because I'd have expected it to be Claggor sized like Milo's doll
Junkrat made her go crazy.
Claggor was the best out of all those kids and deserved better
I kind of agree with theory 3, but I'd push it further. The only real thing that mattered to her about Claggor was his silent observation. He was there most of the times Milo attacked her, and he didn't agree or disagree, he ddin't speak. But when you're attacked, people that don't help when they could are seen as siding with the attacker. To Powder/Jinx Claggor is just the silent observer, always present judging and voicing silent agreement. His size doesn't matter if all he does it watch.
