He just dresses it up Donut style, which is good content but it still bothers me that Donut seems to never post any original content. Here in NZ, I remember when I was about 13 or 14 an older friend gave me a BB gun pistol and immediately my father warned very sternly to be extremely careful that I don't allow anyone to think that it is possibly a real gun, and certainly never to brandish it in public. I've many disagreements with my father, but I'm so grateful that he was there to give me such important warnings 🙏🏼

Whites then and to this day often get off with just 3-5 years of jail or probation for serious crimes like rape.

Happened in Sweden a few years ago; Stockholm police received calls about a man with a handgun in the inner-city area and multiple units were dispatched to the location. The man was found in an alley, it was winter and very dark outside and the alley was badly lit. Multiple officers drew their weapons and yelled at the man to drop the gun and hit the ground. Many times. The man began to raise his hand, in which the gun was. The police opened fire immediately and the man was hit multiple times in the upper body and was declared dead when paramedics showed up. The gun was discovered to be fake in the aftermath. Also, later it was discovered the man was mentally disabled and may not have understood the seriousness of the situation, and the police received major criticism from the public after this. They should've "just known" it wasn't real, and they "should've waited until they could see it was fake or real" and stupid comments like that. In such a situation, if you hesitate, your family may receive news you're not coming home anymore. As for me, I will always back the blue🖤💙🖤

It's not illegal to carry a toy gun though. Ironically enough, it's not illegal to carry a real one in Ohio either. However, what you do with it may be.
Not illegal to carry a gun, however, pointing it at houses (which was the reason the cops were called in the first place) is a huge problem and the line between legal carry and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, not to mention the “child’s” age. In my most states 18 is the legal age to carry a firearm. Granted the gun is not real, but perception of a potentially deadly threat is dealt with by use of force. If a man was holding a real looking gun pointed at your child’s head, would you use any means necessary, if given the opportunity, to STOP them? I certainly would.
This same thing happened in Santa Rosa, CA several years ago. The kid was walking around in the city with a fake AK-47, but was only walking a few blocks home. The cops really lit him up.

Retired paramedic/firefighter here. Tourniquet only necessary if artery/vein cut with pumping/pouring blood. Does not appear so. Otherwise tourniquets are bad for you, cut off all circulation to limb, can cause damage. Direct pressure and elevation is more correct. Very frustrating to watch them trying to cut off his coat with scissors when they could have turned him over or stood him up and removed coat with no effort. Police have limited medical training.
How much paramedic training do you need to know how to take off a coat? :) When the police carry tourniquets they are trained on the use of them. When you don’t do something often it’s easy to forget training. It seems that is what happened in this case.
Yeah, if you have to carry a gun to a funeral, then you're probably in a neighborhood where it isn't safe to wave a gun around in public all willy-nilly.

The DA will see the fake gun pulled out and the correct response was a shot, the officer was able to determine the kid wasn't a threat after the shot and the kid complied. It's LUCKY the officer has restraint and training to have situational awareness. This officer will not be sued successfully if the family tries, they're lucky he's not dead for his dumb actions. Let's not spread misinformation.

Im not defending this morons actions but fake guns have prevented bad situations from happening. I grew up in very bad neighborhood and a person I was walking to a store with had a fake Glock and used it when someone was trying to rob us with a knife.. he made them turn and burn back towards the park. We went the opposite direction and I went home, I never spoke to him after that again but he did essentially save him and myself. So I guess in the grand scheme of it all.. You are right but only to an extent as i am an exception from a singular experience that I had. Following that ordeal I was robbed at gunpoint a year later by 3 scumbags. Took my phone and $5.. I was 17 but needless to say I no longer live there and I am in the Airforce now.

A 15 year old kid with his toy gun is no longer safe to be seen with one. It's not safe for kids to play with toy guns anymore, except maybe in their own back yards. The cops can't tell the real from the fake from a distance. And young kids don't always make the right decisions, they just don't have enough life experiences.

Retired paramedic/firefighter here. Tourniquet only necessary if artery/vein cut with pumping/pouring blood. Does not appear so. Otherwise tourniquets are bad for you, cut off all circulation to limb, can cause damage. Direct pressure and elevation is more correct. Very frustrating to watch them trying to cut off his coat with scissors when they could have turned him over or stood him up and removed coat with no effort. Police have limited medical training.

How much paramedic training do you need to know how to take off a coat? :) When the police carry tourniquets they are trained on the use of them. When you don’t do something often it’s easy to forget training. It seems that is what happened in this case.
Some cops crosstrain as an EMT and get certified as one. I believe it's something all cops should go for even if they aren't required to.

Im not defending this morons actions but fake guns have prevented bad situations from happening. I grew up in very bad neighborhood and a person I was walking to a store with had a fake Glock and used it when someone was trying to rob us with a knife.. he made them turn and burn back towards the park. We went the opposite direction and I went home, I never spoke to him after that again but he did essentially save him and myself. So I guess in the grand scheme of it all.. You are right but only to an extent as i am an exception from a singular experience that I had. Following that ordeal I was robbed at gunpoint a year later by 3 scumbags. Took my phone and $5.. I was 17 but needless to say I no longer live there and I am in the Airforce now.
