- The Sachs Orbit was an early attempt at hybrid gearing pairing an internally geared hub with a multi speed cassette.
It was the forerunner of the Sachs dual drive which had a 3 speed internal hub with a 6 or 7 speed cassette.

Great video! I just purchased a similar bicycle so this was helpful! To my ignorant eye it looks the same but the parts are Shimano 6 speed I think, not Sachs. I’m very excited to use it, it’s in terrific condition and I got it for $100 🤷♀️

enjoyed your video. I've always thought I only need about 5 gears. a two speed internal and 2 or 3 speed cassette would be just right. mountain biking breaks any weak link, so that chain thru the axle would need some armor, or clever different mechanism.
I guess it is quite off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch newly released series online ?
I'm assuming the whole bike is New Old Stock am I correct? And how much was it approximately?
The components are all NOS. The frame is gently used and in very nice shape. As for how much, you would have to take that up with the owner.

No, I do not have any parts. This hub has been out of production for about 30 years.
