That 222 has gone right up to the top of my want list. I think it was the best release of watches and wonder. What I like is that it is exactly the same proportions as the original but with modern upgrades. What I also like is that the bracelet is more soft and malleable, it was introduced in my year of birth, and its the perfect case size of 37mm for me. Not to fit everyone, but then again, VC only produce roughly 20k watches worldwide, so it is not exactly making watches for the masses but for a targeted audience. Just got to keep saving!!

It's about time VC gaining more traction, it's well deserved. In my opinion VC is the top then goes patek philippe, audemars piguet. On and off some will say the same but many will take VC off and makes no sense. When comes to crazy watches that's a different list. Question is how far will they go out side, will they make a carbon and or NTPT, and will it be the same style or go really crazy. I don't think they will go too crazy but have to do something new and most likely stay with in line just use new materials. The bring back of the 222 love it and it's not a normal style I would go for. I hope they bring back the old band that was on the older Overseas Chronograph, not that I don't like the one out now just like how it was thick but not too thick.
Vacheron are magnificent watches, the holy trinity of Haute Horology! The only thing that puzzles me, the Bezel looks like a Lug Nut for a Car, Axle Nut! That destroys the beauty of the Watch!
The logo on the case sucks. Why? The logo is both on the dial, the crown, and on the wristband. Did Vacheron Constantin have to hit us over the head by putting it on the case too? It's like a Honda with both a digital and analogue speedometer in the instrument cluster.

An utterly gorgeous piece, when I first saw that the 222 was being reintroduced I was surprised and elated. Many moons ago I had two 222's, one as this appears and another with a gray dial and sword hands, both gorgeous. I sold one to a friend and traded the other for a AP Royal Oak chrono, that I still have. Next to the Royal Oak this design is as close as one can come to perfection, simplicity to the max. Now how to come up with the 69g's!?!
