  • The Roberto Cavalli men's collection Fall/Winter 2012/2013 designed
by Daniele Cavalli, appears from the mysterious darkness of the night.
Inspired by its seductive smoothness and brought to life by the
hypnotic power of the blues music performed live by the one man band
"Son of Dave". As a tale, the collection unravels through the video by
Stefano Lorenzi: the occult figure of the bluesman, who appeared as a
presence Made of shadows, mist and sound during the show, is now
revealed. And like the darkness of the night discloses its wonders,
the clothes too disclose their elegant dettails of unparalleled
quality and craftmanship. Electricity flows through the intricate
embroidery, fine linings and stichings, precious materials and
patterns; as if the decorative elements evolved to an alchemic
simbology, refined and masculine. Obscure elegance with eclectic,
dream-like dashes of colours. Untill now, Cavalli Man has been rock,
but now he's blues. Subtle, intriguing, bewitching and biting.
A surprising man, metaphorical incarnation of the elements; a
"charmer" confidently playing with his magic, rare and unique, as the
    mysterious world he inhabits.

I'm pretty sure the are more musicians who want to sound like him than he wants to emulate. I would rather see him in concert than anyone else

Then go to the designers website and look at the collection. This is more of an ad or promo. And it looks/sound amazing :)

I couldn't disagree with you more. Son of Dave is just taking blues in a direction you're not comfortable with. I think music is super soulful, extremely bluesy, and he is a very respected harp player. I teach blues harmonica and I think he is badass.
Just because he speaks clearly, doesn't mean it's not blues. The beauty of it is that he IS a middle aged white guy!

the music was cool but the constant cuts make this impossible to watch

That's an opinion. His accent doesn't bother me at all. I don't think blues has to sound black, it has to sound blue.

SON OF DAVE, while a good musician still sounds white and middle class trying to emulate a blues singer. Great for the bourgeois not so good for musicianship.

I hate the video, I cant focus in the clothes. The designer must pay attention in that!

that music would have been brilliant had he not sounded so "white" and "privileged. His accent reeks of institutional English... Dear God, it blasphemes the genre of Blues musicianship.
