When he said it's more fun to build it than using it, that reminded me of when I used to play The Sims, and I would write a cheat to get unlimited money, spend hours or days designing a house and once finished I would just leave it there and move on to another one. 😅 Now seriously, building around appliances and keeping the outside as clean as possible are great tips! Another tip that I heard in another video was to use it unfinished, so you can come up with ideas on modifications that you would like to do. Even a couple summers my parents used the camper for my sister in the late 80’s and early 90’s to sleep in. My sister and I used to fight on who was snoring the loudest while sleeping. I remembered a couple times in sleeping in the camper in my late teens and early 20’s. My parents sold the camper to a family friend’s daughter with her family. In a way that I do missed the old pop up camper. It was built in early 1970’s. We had it in 1976 to summer of 1991. It had lots of memories of camping in.

My parents slept on one side and my sister and I slept on the other side. When I got a little bigger as growing up that I slept on top of the table once folded down. We took our 1st cat camping. He was the worst in camping always wanted to go outside to hunt mice. If we went with our 2nd cat. He would’ve been perfect in camping with us. My parents used the camper for their friends to stayed in while we had a vacation home and they stayed at this campground close towards the house.
What an awesome build. It has everything you need to live, and comfortably. If he keeps cranking these out he'll be a millionaire haha
I like what he did
Really impressive build. Well thought through. Thanks for the detailed tour!
Wow! This is the first time that I'm impressed on a BUILT of this kind, this guy is smart , this is what the homeless people need!!!
Thank you for checking it out
Wow, this is a work of art. The frp walls look fantastic, I was considering using them in my build. I ended up going with PMF and regretted it
Glad you enjoyed it Sean
Never seen frp used in a outdoor application. Curious to see how it holds up in the sun/UV.
Is PMF poor mans fiberglass? If so, what made you regret it?
@@Chubbydippin I imagine any problems would end up more visual then structural?
@@Chubbydippin frp as in fiberglass? There’s some cars out made with fiberglass bodies. Check out the corvette and see how good they look after 15-30 years.
What an amazing build .
Sick kitchen n I like the roof so u can still cook when it’s raining .
Wow well done!
The only thing i would add is a remote start generator for the ac and microwave. Great job ! Love the design.
Another home run, self build! Thank you.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Love it!! Great camper build! So cool and well thought out. All the essentials; AC, electricity, water, hot water, mini-fridge. That would be a great hunting camp rig for a weekend getaway.
Where's the mini toilet ?

Very nice build. I would only change 2 things:
1. by golly, if I'm going to do this, I'm going to be able to stand upright inside of it.
2. I'm not a fan of having to go outside to cook. I, somehow, would make that kitchen accessible from inside.
Cool, thanks
Thanks
Welcome
Love this build! Super compact and versatile!
Thank you Chris and Emilie
Sweet little camper loved the kitchen especially! Thanks for show casing this fine gentleman!
Our pleasure!
That’s awesome. I love how he uses the FRP panels for the outside walls, just like what I have used on my build.
Yes a great choice
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Concerning using FRP panels, I thought about using them but the ones I found (Lowes, Home Depot) say that they are not for outdoor use. I would hate to take the time to build something and then skin it in a product that will deteriorate. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for your response.
Another creative build! Keep them coming Patrick, great channel. 👍👍
Many more to come
Yeah this guy just gets it, I wish I could meet him just to tell him how awesome of a job I think he did.
Thank you for the support
Awesome job! Great review and excellent build. Nothing wrong with adopting concepts from other types of campers. Thank you.
This is super neat. Is there like a step-by-step video anywhere out there to do a DIY teardrop camper? (parts, how to, etc?)
Love this guy's outlook--the bit about always looking at what he's got and thinking how to improve on that. That's a big part of camping for me--and life, too.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! $499 ? My conversion has cost about $3000 and I'm not done yet! My 6'x4'' toy hauler/theater/camper Still hauls cargo! @@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Can you contact the fella who built this great little camper?
Very nice. If I had the abilities and resources, I would definitely love to build something like that.
You can do it!
WOW Craig is the MASTER of building DIY campers...Peace
Yes 🙌🏼
Love it! All I need is a hot shower, a cup of coffee and I’m ready to go :) ditto
Me too!!
Yeah I need my coffee every day to good job!!
That is nice DIY my friend.. you know what I'm going to say next right.. you should have got a maxi fan instead of that cheap fan. actually a maxi fan you can leave open in all weathers..
I think you meant MaxxFan by MaxxAir
building the entire thing around the appliances makes perfect sense, that way you can avoid custom-making them, which definitely saves tons of money.
Makes sense to me
