i love how queer and supportive that first bible group was. for a sec i was worried when they pulled the bibles out cause i'm so used to see church people being homophobic and anti-abortion
But how they can be both Christian and pro-abortion?
You know, there is actually something more valuable than conformity to a brave new world values.
@@Kassia_Jobs If you think all life is holy, then you would never be allowed to do anything, that might be bad, if you were pregnant. You could never know if you're pregnant (unless you avoided s3x for the last ten months) and you might kill or harm the baby otherwise. If all life is holy, then I hope you are a vegan and don't consume or use any products for which a human was killed or had to die in the course of the production/ construction (e.g. the WM in Katar, you cannot support or watch it, because people died during construction and that could have been avoided). And if all life is holy, I hope you never killed an animal. Even animals like mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. I am a Christian and I believe God would want us to do the right thing. This clump of cells has the potential to become a baby, but it's not a baby yet. That's why it's okay to abort. And it is generally safer to have the option to abort than to not have it. Sometimes it's just not safe for the mother to birth a child. Look at the statistics for that. And generally nothing should be forbidden by law that stems from religion or religious believes. Someone who doesn't believe the same thing another person believes should not be limited in his freedom due to that. We all have a moral we can mostly agree on. But religion has no place in that and should be exluded in that. Keeping someone else from getting an abortion is like saying that since I am on a diet you can't eat that burger. The baby cannot exist without the mother and is therefore part of the mother, which means she gets to decide until a certain point what she wants
@@janinasaam Not all holy things are omitted, but abortion is never really something we should do, at least in the bible.
Amazing Film!! What I realized from this short film is that all mothers regardless of what their sexual identity is are also still learning how to be a mother. This lesbian mom shows how she’s doing her best to give her child the best possible care and despite there are things that she lacks in(like most moms do) from fulfilling the needs of her daughter-be it physical, emotional, and mental support-her efforts in wanting to give her daughter the best life is still remarkable and I think that deserves recognition and respect. Thank you for sharing this amazing film!
Thank you!! :’)
Yeah i love that!
The baby in the cloud broke me ‘it’s not my time yet’, exactly what I told myself after my own abortion. The grief doesn’t leave it just visits less frequently.
💛💛💛
Can't wait to be an older lesbian one day (:
LoL try 60,Lezdothis:)~~~
Movies like these are very hard to watch for me. I have a terrible relationship with my mom, which makes me harsher towards people from her generation.
But to be fair, my mom wouldn't be a little late to drive me, she'd be at least 24 hours late so I would never get there at all. I guess there's different shades of grey.
The "slow me down" line really hit me.
Here, some hugs for you.
this is such a cute retro film that holds many messages to many people. pro-abortion, teenage troubles, homosexuality, family love - it’s all there
Thank you 💛💛
I was lucky enough to see this during the Philadelphia Film Festival last year! Such a standout.
Thank you :’)
This is one of the best shorts I've seen in a long time. The casting was perfection, and I won't lie, I was feeling a lot of Mum envy watching this :)
Dot Marie jones! So cool to see her.
She’s the best!
This is truly one of the best things I’ve seen on this site in almost a decade.
Thank you! :’)
@@AmeliaXanthe ❤️
The tripping hard and seeing a baby in the clouds part was pretty wholesome ^^ weird.. but wholesome ❤ and they finally saw the shoe :D
I need this to be a full length film 😭
I love seeing Dot Marie Jones she's always such a talent
No matter how many times I watch, I still get those weepy butterflies at the end! So so lovely

This is sooo good. You and your crew did a great job with your film.
This was a really good short film! The people with abortion is evil or whatever they say signs is heartbreaking because people think that way in the world and its sad to hear that stuff.
Coach Beaste!
Just beautiful🙌 An amazing story, told by an amazing director!!!!
Thank you!! ❤
Exceptionally poignant, funny, and beautiful story!
really well done short film! and amazing performances by the actors 👏
thanks acid trip baby!!
I want this to be a series!!❤
Wow, two very convincing short film in the row! ❤
This short film was amazing!
I do not "like" abortion. I don't think anyone does. I personally couldn't have one. That being said when my sister was crying because she was addicted to a hard drug and knew she was pregnant but couldn't bring herself to stop and was worried the baby would be born extremely deformed or disabled. I told her I'd go with her and when she said she doesn't have the money I said, "If you want to do this and you're sure I will get you the money however I can. I'll hold a carwash and hold signs up that it's for an abortion. We'd get hate but I bet a lot of people would donate." She laughed through the tears picturing me telling people defiantly that I'm raising money for an abortion. I didn't have a job at the time. I was young. It's the only time I felt fully supportive of it...until I was in an abusive relationship and about to be homeless and I had tried to get a tubal just a month before getting pregnant with a third kid and I really felt like I had to get an abortion because I couldn't bring another baby into struggle and cause my other two kids to suffer even more and I really considered it but I ultimately kept the baby and I'm so glad I did. But since then Ive seen so many women struggle because of antiabortion laws, including women I love having to live and walk around with a baby they know is dead inside them for weeks and a teenager who was they attempted to charge with murder for having a miscarriage in a toilet. Banning abortion isn't just stopping unborn babies from dying as I once thought, it escalates to control and oppress women and even cause their deaths. I'm still not going to say I agree with abortion but we absolutely need to keep it legal within a reasonable timeframe.
This was so good. It made me tear up, i loved it!
Such an amazing film, thank you for sharing 🤍
Thank you! :’)
Really well done short film. One of the better ones Ive seen
I really like the mom haha. Also this looks really horrifying, ironically this is the best birth control film ive seen lol
Great!😀
Brilliant! ❤
❤
Aaww.. I haven't seen her on television since my child years.
This was so good holy shit ❤
aw this was so lovely
Ok, this is weird as fuck, but I kinda love it.

She’s the best!!
@@AmeliaXanthe agreed!
This was quite nice👏👏👏👏👏❤
Coach❤❤❤❤
Soo lovely 😍
Great Short,got to ❤ us Older LESDOTHIS:)~~~~~~~~~~
AWWWW
I'm surprised a lesbian mother of a hetero teenage daughter didn't know exactly what the situation with abortion rights in her state were, and already knew how far she had to drive, that feels unrealistic. I'm a middle age lesbain with no kids no odds of getting pregnant, I keep track of the state of rights, and just about to order some M&Ms incase someone near needs any...
I mean, you aren't everyone lmao. Some lesbians don't keep track of stuff like that because they don't find it particularly helpful, as they don't want kids and don't have relationships with those who could get them pregnant. Some people in general kinda live under a rock a bit, which can be good and bad.
Not everyone is you 🤷🏻
Ok someone has to explain the bible lady to me 😂 did they know each other or was their gaydar and chemistry so strong that they instantly made out? 🌼😂
Definitely an inaccurate portrayal of an acid trip that wouldnt have happened from a swig of water or anything else, however the message of the film was interesting and the cast did well!
Coach beiste what r u doing here??
this film is actually insulting 😭😭😭😭
Shut up. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Why are they stopped for the night? A 500 mile drive shouldn't take more than 10 hours averaging 50mph.
Just nitpicking....it was a great short film.
She wasn’t up for driving ten hours in one day ;)
@@AmeliaXanthe LOL,. I understand but than why did they have to leave so early? :)
(again, i am just being nitpicky. i think the short was great)
@@BB-rh2mlThere’s no reason to be nitpicking. You know that, right?
@@tananario23 I know, that is why I fully acknowledge it and I am doing it light heartedly.
I apologize if i upset you.
My Mother was a bit late for an abortion. That is why I am.
bro if your mom is driving you EIGHT HUNDRED KM at least be a little bit grateful and dont be an ass
I'm sorry, Baby.
I'm sorry for you.
Lsd doesnt do that but ok. This film is pretty cool. Feels like the filmmaker never even looked into what lsd does.... um but ok, its a good film, i mean you named it after the lsd trip and didnt research it or try it lol but ya know, good work i guess.
who cares
Lesbians also don't immediately make out when they see eachother lmfao. It's just a slightly surrealist short film, it won't be accurate.
I love you nice 😘 💕
The balances and boundaries of the world are the realities of the world. Instead of trying to adapt the facts to the imbalances, the right thing to do should be to bring the imbalances into balance. Medicine has advanced a lot and treatment is possible. How right is it to put the patient on a path of no return instead of treating him just because he doesn't feel sick? Isn't it strange that gender reassignment surgeries are supported while people with terminal illnesses cannot find support for treatment? Why do companies and groups spend millions of dollars and support this, even though it has no benefit? This capitalist system based on the benefit. what is the benefit to them?
Instead of citing the means to abort, there should be directions on how to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

Wait...so she's killing her baby high on acid, then mom's letting her drive home.
Really wholesome isn’t it?
There's literally nothing feminist about this
you don’t get it then
Are you sure? Women murdering their unborn babies seems to be top of the list of things that feminists believe in.
this is overflowing with feminism in the best way possible. It's perfectly corny and lighthearted
Nothing says feminism more than unaliving an unborn baby
@@s1llyb1lly102 okay expert, explain...
So the mother and daughter have a bonding moment as the daughter has her baby killed? *If we are we suppose to feel sad and disgusted by this ending, then mission accomplished. Great work.
nope, i don't think you got the point.
@@piepsie007 no, I’m pretty sure I understood the point of the film. Neither one is perfect and the mom, who is a basic screw up, still does her best to support and help her daughter. And the daughter realizes this and also realizes that deep down she needs and wants her mom to help her and support her emotionally… couldn’t they have come up with a different story to convey this same message? Instead of pushing the narrative that it’s okay to murder your unborn child.
@@rek1370 it's not a child, it's an unidentifiable clump of cells. Basic biology... very narrow minded
@@Charlotte-ql8gx are you trying to tell me that those clump of cells could have turned into something besides a human being? Sounds like you need a lesson in human biology. Stop listening to all the people that want to justify murdering unborn babies. It’s sickening.
@@Charlotte-ql8gx they are not unidentified. The clump of cells is a baby. We are all clumps of cells.
