My favourite Booker winner is The Van by Roddy Doyle It’s part of the Barrytown triology. This includes The Snapper & The Commitments. Each was adapted into a film. 🍀👋☘️📚📕☕️📖🇮🇪
Thomas Keneally is a lovely man and a bit of a National Treasure in Australia. I often seem to have a problem with getting through his books, I have some trouble with his pacing. I've only seen the film of Schindler's List but now perhaps I should put the book on my TBR. All the others I've either read or are on my TBR except for Sacred Hunger which has been appearing on my Insta feed this week too, must be a sign to read it. Looking forward to hearing about your favourites from the booker, a few of those on this list would be on my favourites list. I'm currently trying to read a few novels that I think might appear on this years longlist. Fire rush and The House of Doors in particular are on my TBR next week.
That’s quite interesting. No Midnight’s Children, no Wolf Hall, no Coetzee or Carey…
Numbers 3 & 5 stand out as the interlopers of the bunch.

I should read Roddy soon. Ireland has a great Booker year 2023!!
