that first bike from verge looks like.. insanely disproportionately huge in the front. like it's built for a small person version of andre the giant or something. like who is proportioned to ride that?? seems so weirdly sized. can't imagine they'll sell many.
I think an electric scooter is a very good idea with swappable battery packs. Usually people used that category to commute not to far daily. That is the key. A bigger electric motorbike has the similar range issue than most of the electric cars. Beside that bikers tend to ride away from cities to the countryside, to the mountain, finding a bendy road, a serpentine which are usually far away from the charging stations which are near the highways and cities. Not to mention most of the ICE bikes has decent range which is welcomed, but not too easy to make an electric bike with large range for bikers depends on the adrenaline. Cruiser fans need the vibration and the deep sound thumping sound of the engine, which cant be imitated artificially. So EV scooters are fantastic but above them is a very risky business. Not impossible but tread carefully.

A few people found a clearance deal around Christmas of a caofen F80 dual sport (48AH battery, branded as Massimo Caofen) for $1,500 shipped and I jumped on that to have a street legal bike so maybe I'll make the jump to a sigma for off road use early next year.
@@MotoAlias I already have the bike and title. Sold by Massimo on Amazon and Walmart but they were clearance, no more left at that price, sorry. Too cold to ride much but it does over 50mph and rides well.
