Maddening to think of how many war criminals lived out there pathetic existences decades after the massive WWII. And how many were still murdering far after that war.
Coulda swore on my mothers eternal soul, that my first girlfriends father was a war criminal. He was filled with ancient hate and bitter resentment to all non Hungarians. He absolutely hated me for my long hair, being an Anglo Italian, non high school graduate, and most of all, not Hungarian. And he ruled his family like a tyrant. Something about his demeanor that made me dislike him from the get go. And that was the only thing we had in common. We couldn’t stand each other.
But when one has a feeling, and can sense a monster, well, when you know, you know. And didn’t know. But that feeling never went away. And I never got to close to him. I was with his daughter for 17 years straight outta high school. Her and her mom and sister (who married an African American) couldn’t stand him either. But their submission to the patriarch was apparent. Like I said, when you know, you know something’s off.
