    more developments are on going in Manila n maybe in the couple of years you might see a bit of Paris n the Latin Quarter once the other side of the river w/ its heritage buildings are restored....a little bit of trivia, Manils before WW2 was once known as the "Paris of Asia' because of the many beautiful Neo Classical, Beaux Arts Deco designed buildings in Manila, but sadly n unfortunately many of these buidings were destroyed during WW2 , wherein Manila was almost destroyed, second inly to Warsaw, Poland as the most destructed city during WW2

    Sir that's the reason you don't skip Manila when visiting the Philippines plus if there are stuff foreign brands might be clothing, gadgets and electronics that you need and foods that you want to eat which isn't available on the touristy islands you only find it in the mainland the main metropolitan capital Manila. Not only Makita and BGC are the financial, commercial, business districts in the Philippines but also cities close by like Mandaluyong(Ortigas) parts of Pasay, Pasig, Paranaque, Quezon City are already a developing business, financial, entertainment and leisure districts in the PH. And if you're staying in Makati you should checkout Ayala Avenue by day and also the rooftop bar/restos at night on a clear weather has the best view of the city skylines in Makati

    Try to visit the alleys and slums next time. There about a half million people living there. You will have another surprise.

      @derbdep 10 дней назад +1

      500k vs 120 million who arent in slums. no one buys poverty porn anymore. 20% of the UK population live below the poverty line. poverty isnt exclusive to the Philippines, and frankly, who travels 10k miles just to visit slums and ghettos?? Do you do that when you visit the US, Japan or Europe?

    • @bipolarpunt5721
      @bipolarpunt5721 10 дней назад

      @@derbdep In Phillipines kids play on 10 ft high piles of garbage. In the US/Canada/UK your children would be taken from you and you would be in jail. If you want to live in a Shole, enjoy.

      Slums? The Philippines is now making strides in eliminating the slums. You'll be surprised for there are many well developed areas like in this video around Manila and even outside Manila. It's been projected that the Philippines will become a 2 trillion dollar economy in the coming years. The Philippines is following the trajectory path of South Korea and Japan and it's the fastest growing economy in Asia
