Just a thought that weird device with the vertical extension on it might be used for drilling anchor holes for the air supply piping overhead. It would make sense to build a device to drill straight up into the rock multiple times to anchor air pipe and other services overhead

The drone can't get a GPS fix underground to find the home location and possibly altitude. That function should be turned off if it is possible to do so. Amazing stoke anyway.

You start at the top and work your way down and that big drill was probably the core driller they probably did alot of core drilling from the bottom up.

30:40 whatever or they pulled out of there that was one hell of a pocket usually you see him mine veins only time they ever do large cavities like that's usually strip mining and it's open to the world definitely different

According to www.mindat.org/loc-62259.html "A million dollars worth of silver was reportedly taken from a single stope of the Ward Mine in the early years of production." Maybe this was the room they pulled it from?

🤔.. the room was already there... Brother let me tell you something... The big mining companies in this country that are still operating today find big rooms... It's something they don't really talk about.... But more than likely that room was there and they tunneled into it... There are megalithic structures, still underground today we have not found...

That is what we call here in Australia an extensive ball room, remote rural off grid here opal miner .Nice work indeed I have a fascination for abandoned mines though we don't have the history here that you people have maybe Victoria and Tasmania for mines gold silver ect , still our history is new compared 2 yours . 2@13:25 what on earth is wrong with stacking rocks you noticed them that is the intention, forgive me I stack cairns of stones in every place I explore or visit knowing some time someone walking the same path will see them , didn't understand your contempt for a simple pile of stacked stones you may wish to pause and dwell on that at least its not the all 2 often mindless graffiti or wanton vandalism ,no offence meant hope none taken. Great vid by the way and thanks for taking me along. The metal pieces (strapping) are actually held in place with long rods called rock bolts drilled into the bad ground they can be up 2 15 or so feet long drilled in bolted, it secures bad ground , but I digress its been mentioned that I do so on occasion during my time on this planet. I will see myself out good people..

HAHA, the stacking rocks is something "naturalists" do. They want to keep everything looking natural, then they stack rocks everywhere. I get mad about the hypocrisy of it, not the actual act. :)

dude, if a drone don't have GPS, a drone don't fly.
Depending on the drone, you MIGHT be able to override, buy you need to find a GPS free area to test.
also, the manufacturer if it will work in a cave BEFORE you go....
