In 1969, I bought a used '67 Midget. It was love at first sight. It still is the mot pleasurable car I've ever driven.

    Good job!
I love these little cars, and really enjoy working on them. Wish I were there to help you.

They are great cars! A big box of parts arrived at our shop for it today, so hopefully next week I will have more videos of it. Stay tuned!

The oil presssure is fine, leave it alone. The tach won't work as you hot wired to the battery, the RVI type tacha are in series between the ig switch and the coil live and count the pulses in that wire.

Don't mess with the oil pressure relief valve. It is supposed to be at 60psi on a cold engine. It is working fine right now. When the oil warms up the pressure reduces naturally as the viscosity changes, and should be at around 40psi when driving and warm , and between 10-20psi on tick over on a warmed up engine.
Not 40psi when the oil and engine is cold.

Had a '66 with a 1275 transplant, thus a '66 4:11 (4:22?) rear but the 1275, best of both worlds. Would love to find annother. so......

How did you get my old Fidget? I had the exact same car. White, wires, black top and interior. Cheapest fun I've had with a car. I've owned 75 cars in my life and this one was a real gal pal magnet.
