We tried to get a Secret Santa gift to this young mom four times and finally caught her pulling out of the driveway
Brandie and her husband Chapman have a two-year-old daughter named Ruth and a son who is almost five.
Ruth was born at 23 weeks and has been constantly in and out of the hospital.
Chapman is a high school teacher. Brandie is getting her nursing degree and a stay-at-home mom. She has to patch herself up on a weekly basis. A few weeks ago, Ruth was supposed to have another two-hour surgery. It ended up taking 10!
Brandie loves her kids, gets her schoolwork done, supports Chapman's career and carries on. She is constantly driving back and forth to EIRMC from Rexburg and balancing it all.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to go pay Brandie a visit and it was challenging to catch her but we finally did. Watch the video above to see the surprise!

Oh my goodness her kids are ADORABLE! His little “sure” when asked if he would love to open it. Praying for baby girl & of course your family. Thank you secret Santa for everything you do for these families. I was able to bless a few families today and I was so excited I was able to! I can’t imagine how happy it is for secret Santa!

Family member was born at 5-ish months and weighed about 2 pounds back in '61. It was a tough time but all went well. They are now a thriving adult.
My great niece was born more than three months early and weighed 1pound 11 ounces. She will be 5 this month.
10 hour surgery?!? Oh, that poor mother and that poor little one!!! My heart goes out to both of them.
There are always quiet heroes among us…. These are the ones that are worthy of our respect and emulation. Plugging along in spite of adversity. This is the kind of person i want to be like!!

My mom took me to class too, she eventually got her master's degree and I never lacked anything. So much respect for these tough moms that never seem to complain about the insane amount of work and stress they take on.

Prayers for this family, Remember Ruth in the bible struggled, then flourished. My daughter was a preemie, necrotic bowel and more. Through prayer, she now teaches. Ibs, and tad of asthma, but blessed. Hang in mama.
