And the last comment is a compliment for those who can’t read, josh has a lot of knowledge to pass on. If you listen and learn. Thanks man I appreciate your work.
Might be a good idea to separate the lines on the trans cooler. If they're touching you'll have heat transfer between them which reduces the effectiveness of the cooler.
great video and I appreciate the way you put the front end together . I helped a friend replace his engine in his truck . What a leaning experience lol
Looking and sounding good! All the little details certainly add up. Can't wait to see how she does after the tuning gets squared away. I'm sure it's a good feeling having her back together. Keep up the good work and excellent content!
Awesome video Josh if it goes as good as it looks it's going to be a great engine just the right amount of eyes candy 😎 As always God bless you and stay safe in these troubled times 🙋♂️🇬🇧
ws really curious about the intake plenum. of all the mods to build power, still using stock intake? can the aftermarket create more flow? or not needed?
Put it together, warm it, take it apart, re-torque, put it together again lol............always gets me, but maybe that's why I'm not certificated it anything 🤣..............can't focus on chit long enough to finish anything lmao

I got a riddle for you, my 68rfe overheats in Drive in 1st and 2nd gear only cools down really fast once in 3rd. I added same trans cooler as you just did and with fan ON it makes no difference. If I'm waiting in a long line at the dump and keep it in gear in 10min it'll be at 250 degrees even with fan on.... Other wise transmission runs great. What is it.....?
@@horsetorquesdiesel Converter supposed to be locked while standing in gear? I guess I'll do some research on how converters work... I've tried to search formus can't find anyone with exact same problem because I can tow foot to the floor on steep grades and trans is happy. Only 1st and 2nd gear overheating.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I had a trans repair shop say it's most likely 1st and 2nd gears slipping but I'll do some research from what you said and some testing. Trans was rebuilt 50k ago by a shop that went out of business. Does PDD build 68rfes? To support 600whp and towing?
@@om603denis I have very rarely seen under drives fail usually it’s over drives that go first. We do not build 68s but Randy’s does in Utah, Redhorse or Coffman customs does in Texas, Suncoast does in Florida, Muldoons does in the NE
Off the wall question but with a 150* 7x10 VP injector paired with a 6.7 piston what would a good starting point for timing be? Tried from 17-26* and can’t find its happy spot just wants to sputter after 1000-1200rpm

I love your in cab instrumentation. How well do you do at watching every gauge every pass?

It takes some patience

240%

Josh, would you not benefit from a larger cold side pipe between chargers?
The turbo outlet is 3” the compressor wheel of the 72 is 2.9” in my head it didn’t make sense. Maybe we could test that theory!
@@horsetorquesdiesel with a bigger tube you may even gain a bit of lag, more air to compress.

When you warm up the engine without coolant, how long do you run it and what temp are watching? Thanks
Oil temp is what we measure with an infrared temp gun on the oil filter. 180*
