This truck was very loved through its years, she was a work horse don't get me wrong. But the owners maintained it and kept it inside most of its life.
@@hunterkline2516 Ah well the owner, has little to no knowledge on classic veichels. He's a fellow brother, who was looking for education on this F1 to build it with his son one day. He wasn't lean to be lazy, he was Retaining as much information on and off camera.
I have dealer manual and even posters and a truck my family owned since new that proves it. Its clearly listed as the primary engine for 52. So go lay down by your bowl.
Great car and nice adventure 👍🏻😊
I had one. 1973 my dad bought me one from a farmer. I was 14. It took till I was 16 before it was ready.
Wonderful truck, love that body style and color. I just did something very similar on my '58 Ford Panel. Same engine, same issues.
Hopefully this year I will be helping the owner to get it back on the road
Is it a flathead(side valve/low compression) motor?
@@glennredwine289 Not a flathead, its an over head cam engine. 223ci. This came right after the flathead.
Frickin rights love these old girls got me a 66!! Just put plates on her today put up a video on her comfiest cruise
That's the motor in my 52 F6 flat bed.
Always start with cleaning up the points!!!!!!!
I know I made a rookie mistake! Haha but she ran clean after we changed the points out. It needs a good foot tune to knock the cobwebs out of it

The BMV here in Youngstown has a bunch of them hanging on the walls. It’s cool as hell to see them

@Rob Call That's amazing! Do you have them hanging up or just in storage?

More updates on this...
When I get back to ohio and back in the rhythm of things I will do an update on this truck
the truck is positive ground
No it isn't. Not in 52 with a 215 cost clipper 6. Ive owned one since i was 16.
2 nuts on valve cover. Intake and exhaust valves should be set at 15 thousands cold. They will tick like a sewing machine.
Great to know, I will have to check them whenever the owner and myself meet up again.
Schweeet!❤️🔧🔧🔧
The Sanford an sons 52
Connor is so knowledgeable, but she does all the talking . He is more interesting to listen to.
Connor?
Let me just lean on the truck while someone else does everything...

Wrong motor
