I would rather go to Apple Watch setting and about and get the serial number there and then check and then reset watch or I would take it to an Apple Store or I would take it to my cell phone carrier to add to my acct

This means nothing. I was just scammed, and the serial number on the box of the iphone, and receipt matched up. I then load the phone up, and it is a fake. Make sure you check in settings and do a deep dive. Check to see if siri works too, and the app store.

it is sealed. Apparently theyre not supposed to be sealed. Also when i sold an iphone, i found out it was a fake when the guy turned it on - it was an andriod.@@zen4985

This is exactly what they are doing. So checking the serial number is no way a fool proof method of checking if your watch is genuine. Do more reserach and watch more videos, this one is only a very small part of the solution.

Yes but sometimes people will use an original box to trick people. And so sometimes a good a starting point is seeing if the number on the box matches the number on the device

OP should have gone step further and connected the watch to his phone and checked the serial number for the watch in the phone settings to make sure it’s the same.

You can check the date of purchase in it. If it is fake it will show some other date of purchase than what actually is

I would not rely on this 100%. They take real apple serial numbers and re print them on the matching fake product. Somebody who isint really "hip" to this process could still easily be fooled.

@@rethish24 actually i got brand new apple watch from a guy just wondering around for 5500 i know i shouldn't have but i checked the serial no on apples website & it matched ,but it also got connected to my android phone ,it's heavy comes with a wireless charger but does have an logo on it neither i can see a logo on the watch
So eger to find out if it's a geniune or a fake product
