Can we use the expression “day by day” with verbs in the present form? I mean, can we use it with the same meaning of “everyday” ? Like: “day by day I study Spanish”
Happy weekend English learners, here’s a little tip 😎 In English we use the term “Pick up” In reference to other people all the time, here’s the reasons why - 1) Literally to pick up (lift up) another person. Example - The sand on the beach was too hot for my daughters feet so I picked her up and carried her. 2) To collect someone from a location in your car or on a motorbike. Example - Sorry, can’t talk now, I have to pick my wife up from work. Do you need picking up later? 3) In relation to dating - Example - my friend is always trying to pick up girls with corny chat up lines, it’s embarrassing! Hope it helps 😎
OMG this is amazing thank u so much for sharing this video almost always have trouble using rather so i think this will help me i really don't have words to thank, god bless you.

Hi Eleesha, 1)there confusion between will and going to. 2) sometimes which referes to place like staduim or house and where also I can't identify the difference and when l can use which or where for places? Thank you 😙😘😘
"going to" can mean traveling to a certain place, but it can also mean "planning to do something" EX: He is going to the USA to study. (traveling) EX: I am going to watch movies after work today (planning to do something) For the second definition, it is very similar to "will", but you need to add a "be" verb when you use "going to", that's why I added "am" to the second sentence. I hope this helps! :) If you want more English practice, I share free lessons on my channel. Good luck with your English studies! :)
hi Alisha I can't find a match between what you mention and what I see here below about the meaning of RATHER : what happened in there brings up a topic rather esoteric and wild-namely, the subject of kundalini shakti. from eat, pray, love novel.
That's one, who is dear tuitor,, I really like her way of teaching, and I ascribe you,, heart felt,,,,,,,,, pls give us a some contact of native English speakers
Hi Alisha! One request. Colease do tell that thing what you've mentioned in thumbnail. I meant, this is second time when I watched your video and it was QnA video instead of Video on Rather. So, please make sure that whenever you make thumbnail, type what you have in video.
Use "would" when you are saying a situation that is not real or might not be real, but you are imagining what would happen if that situation was real. EX: I would have been at English class right now if the teacher hadn't cancelled class. I hope this helps! :). If you want to study English more, I post free English lessons on my RUclips channel. Good luck studying! :)
Spectator = a person watching something Athlete = a person that plays sports. So, this sentence means "she plays sports more often than she watches sports" or "she prefers playing sports over watching sports". I hope this helps! :)
Then is similar to "next", it is used when saying something that will happen after something else EX: I will read a book, then eat dinner. Than, is when you are talking about two things that have a certain quality, use "than" so show which thing has that quality more. EX: He is taller than me. (tall = the quality) I hope this helps! If you want more help with English, I share free lessons on my RUclips channel :).
"Humble" is an adjective. It means to not think you're better than other people, and to have a normal opinion of yourself. The opposite of humble is "arrogant" or "cocky". :)

Hello

Hi, Alisha, What does this sentence mean? "She is more of an athlete than a spectator. "
Thanks so much!
Spectator = a person watching something
Athlete = a person that plays sports.
So, this sentence means "she plays sports more often than she watches sports" or "she prefers playing sports over watching sports". I hope this helps! :)
