That glacier is on its last legs by the looks of it. Many of the ones we have in Norway are suffering too. The thick ice cap on what used to be our highest mountain, Glittertind, is gone now. As a result, it's now our second highest. (Galdhøpiggen is currently the highest in Norway now, at 2469 m. a. sea level. It has never had an ice cap, so will keep the title in all foreseeable future). Even Jostedalsbreen, the biggest glacier in all of mainland Europe (Vatnajøkul in Iceland is bigger), will be mostly gone in a few decades. It's sad. But that's where we are heading, folks.

Some forty years ago when I visited there was no lake, just a small pond !

The change we saw from the photos is dramatic! 😮 Another 10 and it will be gone!

Yes it was startling to see the difference of the glacial levels over the years but still very impressive. Thanks so much for watching 🙏

here's a thing :) while your channel is growing you have time to chat with us in the comments... So cool. But As your channel grows you get less and less time to stay in touch, Please remember us all later, We do not expect a comment for every post. But Some You tubers almost stop replying to anyone .. I tend to not watch them, Just because its has become more a business than, Us Joining you on your trips. This is why we watch you :)
