"May I have your attention please! A fire emergency has been reported in the building. Please, leave the building by the, nearest exit. Do not use the elevators!"
please leave the building by the (checks script) Nearest exit What I would say: GET OUTTA HERE, THERES A FIRE, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE, EVACUATE NOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Seems like I've been seeing more and more of these Wheelock CH-70's and E-70's being re-branded by Siemens. I've got one of them, and when I bought it off eBay, I was told it was only installed a week before getting removed, so a recent device.
My dorm hall has this system except the voice doesn't gender swap (always male) and the continuous tone legitimately gives me a panic attack; idk why. It might not help that the emergency speaker in my room distorts really badly
I actually like the Siemens voice evac message. It's simple and short. Much simpler compared to other messages I've heard.
The hesitation
What is with the gender swap after the messages says May I have your attention please? It goes from female to male.
Yeah I hate that
that is the voice of my schools fire alarm
please leave the building by the (checks script) Nearest exit

msj191961 Yeah, I would hate to be the person that has to put the stickers over the wheelock branding.
