Ah I love your voice/accent, it reminds me so much of watching Jenny Bristow as a kid! Thanks for the tutorial, I'm hoping to embroider some details onto a knitted vest for autumn 🍂
Great idea! I did the same on a store-bought vest top, using fine mohair and pearls. It turned out well. I hope it still fits me this year...! Happy embroidering! Thanks for your comment. I remember Jenny Bristow!
Thank you! I added some flowers to the neckline of a V-neck sweater I got from a charity shop, just using up little yarn ends. Got lots of compliments. It definitely gets easier as you practice - it's all about your tension. Good luck! ☘
Thanks Stacy! I appreciate that. I really enjoy making these gloves. Embroidery is my 2nd favourite thing in the world (after crochet)! Thanks for checking in 😊
Hi Samira, thank you. The gloves are crocheted using Waistcoat Stitch so there's no need to cast off. You can watch the video tutorial for Waistcoat Stitch here ruclips.net/video/d7vCkBZYBrI/видео.htmlsi=HkDfuNj1B5UCXzmP I hope that helps!
I love this. Embroidery on anything looks beautiful. I want smaller flowers for a toddler item. Is it the same process or do you recommend another method for making a mini flower? Thank you for the video and for taking the time out of your day to answer any questions. :)
This embroidery tutorial is the same for any flower, big or small. Just adjust the length of the petals. It actually tends to work better on a smaller scale. Enjoy!
@@nancysaid9193 You are very welcome :) And that is great to hear! I am just stepping into the crafting world, loom knitting, and am loving it very much!
I understand! It's pure torture to know there are so many exciting crafts out there. Thank goodness for RUclips! I find crochet the quickest, but knitting and embroidery are both next on my fave list. Try it all, I say! Enjoy 🙂
@@nancysaid9193 not just crafts, places to see, books to read, movies , people to meet, vast amounts of knowledge, music and ideas to absorb . My poor husband is a saint and is happy enough when I dash off load of laundry or a quick dinner. Cooking! I’ll get to that one day too. 😊
do you have one for a toadstool? i made a fingerless glove and want to embroider one onto it just like you did with the flower. can i use the same technique that you used in this video just try to adapt it to the glove? i need some help. thanks.
Hello! A toadstool sounds lovely. Im sorry I don't have an embroidery tutorial for toadstools, but I think I would use back stitches to form the overall shape, and then long stitches for the vents underneath. A great resource for embroidery stitches is www.embroidery.rocksea.org and of course our beloved RUclips. Good luck!
Thanks Emily, I would say yes as the yarn I'm using here is wool and would tend to felt a little. For silkier yarns or for a garment that would be getting a vigorous wash in the machine, you could give it another pass. Thanks for your question
Thanks for your question. I realize I should have shown the stem. The stitch is called Chain Stitch. Until I make that video, you'll find an excellent resource for embroidery techniques at www.embroidery.rocksea.org/stitch/chain-stitch/chain-stitch/ (no affiliation) And they have a video tutorial for the chain stitch too. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching!
@@migueloros891 Working on these small gloves I wouldn't use a hoop. Maybe on some bigger projects, but in general I prefer not to use a hoop on knitwear - I can see the way the fabric sits better without 👍
Stunning yet simple. Best tutorial on RUclips 🧶😊
Thanks so much 😊⚘

Thanks so much Trisha! I'm glad you like the video. I love embroidery - in fact, I must do more for spring. Happy crafting!
Great instructions, thanks a lot. Can you please tell me how you did the cast off, how come the work didn't turn although it's jersey stitch?

Is this method of securing the yarn secure enough for a garment that will be going through the wash?
