How do you win? Catching criminals/outrunning the law, or points?

If your on Authority yes, capturing all the criminals before the time runs out.
When your on the renegade team you want to avoid getting eaten by the law (the Piranha Plants) as well as free your captured team members.
Helpful Tip (Renegade Team): Try to stay in areas where Real Players and CPU's don't often go. This will depend on the map you play, if there isn't a place where Real Players and CPU's can hide/get away, also try to go in circles to confuse players.
Helpful Tip (Authority Team): When changing directions (Forward to Reverse) try hopping instead of pressing A & B ,it's a little faster.
You get points based off how many players you capture and how many renegades they free. These points don't affect your score there just there for aesthetics. Keep in mind the two teams switch positions each round.
