I think it’s the combination of job security and passion. The demand for my skills is high, so I’m not worried about finding work, and I really enjoy the day-to-day tasks
There are times I worry about saving for the future, like retirement or buying a home. And even though I’m happy in my job now, there’s always that question of whether I should be aiming for higher income or more stability in the long run
I totally get that. Earning a good salary in a high-demand field is great, but it’s easy to feel pressure to keep advancing or to worry about whether it’ll be enough in the future. Have you thought about getting some financial advice to help you plan for those concerns?
I’ve thought about it, but I’m not really sure what a financial advisor could do for me. I mean, I manage my money pretty well, but I could probably do better.
A financial advisor could definitely help. They can assist you in creating a comprehensive financial plan that aligns with your current situation and future goals. For example, they could help you figure out the best way to save for retirement, or how to invest your money to grow your wealth over time.

You should move to NJ, NY, CT, or MA. Teachers there can make over 100k less than midway into their career. I don't know why any teacher would settle for less than 50K.
