The biggest passable object in this mission is the legendary Cowbear. Its a gigantic fusion of a cow and a bear. This extremely fast creature sometimes rises from the sea and launches small bears at you so you fuck up, and you need to be like 7 meters to roll it up. It's one of the hardest objects to get in the entire game, if not the hardest.
+Smug Sneasel Actually it's in the video. It quickly passes Arin. I remmber seeing it and begin like "the fuck is That." It's when there rolling stuff on the beach is when it shows up
The joke Arin flubs at 4:52 goes "What's the difference between a piano and a fish? You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish." In case you were starved for terrible puns. EDIT: Danny doesn't do a "making bears" joke, despite the perfect set-up. Much disappoint. Also, fun fact: seeing a pattern where none exists (such as a face in an inanimate object) is known as "pareidolia".
The most polite way this was put I have seen in these comments, when most have been "you guys never finish a game why can't you ever finish anything you dumbasses," maybe there is hope for the people of the comment section of Game Grumps, maybe... Oh, never mind, there was a surprising amount of complaints on the other videos, this generation is boned.
I really love the Game Grumps. Even the restraining orders won't put me off. In fact, you could say that right now I'm re _straining_ to see Kevin's window through these bushes!! Jesus, sirens already.
What would you do there, though? Build levels filled with thousands of cows and bears you may not pick up and a single other piece of item in the middle?
If it was anything like Super Mario Maker, most user levels would be full on invisible walls and cows/bears that force the level's end. And the King's dialogue would just be insults and slanders.
You know... it's a lot of pressure to put on a kid like me. Only I can prevent forest fires, Dan? Only I!? Well... I guess it's time to go back to the Fire Tower, and stare at trees for the next 30 years.
I actually just got two baby bunnies and they are SOOOOO adorable! I'll be walking by, doing whatever, then I'll see one out, hopping around his cage, and I'm just like 😫 "TOO MUCH CUTENESS"
And especially because it's sort of tradition with GG editing, whenever Danny looks up an image or something, most of the time it calls for an image on screen even when not asked for.
Ah, yes. The classic Japanese folktale of "Rabbit in the Moon". If I remember correctly, she comes down to Earth to try to take all of it's chakra, but is stopped by two ninja wizards and their friend with pink hair. Japanese myth is so gosh darn interesting.
The wizards find themselves outmatched and call upon the aid of the Up-Dog to vanquish the foe and restore positive aura to the Earth's inhabitants I love that story, the movie was alright too.
+Temmie 4life ursaying the same pun they used in the episode, maybe you should just steer clear of these comments and let us grizzled veterans handle this
Dan's reaction to the bunny on the moon was pure child-like joy and I loved it. And btw, my family doesn't see the bunny profile, they see the body of a fox. I remember having a full blown argument with them a long time ago and just gave up. I'm still holding that grudge to this day...
Keep in mind grading differs from country to country, state to state, possible even school to school. When I was in school, a 60 was a D-, I believe. A 70 was a C-, which from your standard would be barely passing. It probably should be barely passing though. I felt like I had to be really fucking lazy to get anything below an 80, but then again everyone learns differently.
What would be considered like a low D or something in my college, would be considered definitely an F in my high school. I actually find it a bit funny that my high school was a bit less forgiving with its grading lol.
High school was sort of like that in general. Attendance, grading, the pressure to be in activities... and they were always like, "Well, college is going to be even worse/harder/more demanding." College was a breeze compared to high school. Much more flexible and lax.
Editing basic videos is one thing. Taking the time to place things in, mid video, frame by frame, adds extra work and pressure to save you the three seconds to google image that shit.
+Stray Tyrian even in programs as basic as microsoft video or w/e comes standard with windows, it takes approx 30 seconds to add a picture in, say how long you want it to appear for, and choose a transition to make it look nice. Kevin has no excuse; this is his JOB.
Not even kidding, I was playing Tap My Katamari on my phone while watching this, and while they were playing the Cowbear level, I got enough stars to unlock a present. What was the present? A Cowbear.
They do on some games and other times they don't, to be honest it's like a 50/50 chance of them extending the episode to finish a match or something you know? Just depends on their mood I guess, let's be real Arin and Danny are *complicated* individuals here haha.
In my experience, there are only some kinds of bears you should avoid. The ones that try to kill you with their sharp teeth and claws, you should avoid. The ones that are friendly and give good hugs and wear lots of leather, you should stick around.
Because they normally like the show, and they want to like the show, so they're trying to process why they don't and sometimes that takes time. It's a legitimate psychological phenomena
So the king gives them the challenge of getting just one cow or one bear, and Arin believes he is supposed to avoid ALL cows or bears. I imagine he got low grades in reading comprehension in school.
Darkest-Knight Nick No, what I mean is that the king plainly said at the end of the last episode what he had to do. At the beginning of this episode, Arin assumed that he had to avoid ALL cows and bears. It wasn't until after he messed up that he figured out what to do.
Well he does have ADHD and they're kinda also focusing a lot on trying to run an entertainment show. It's a little hard for him to do three things at once perfectly.
The goal is to get the biggest cow or bear, meaning you need to avoid them until you can get a good sized on. Shit would be boring if you only got the first smallest one you see.
I'm so proud of you, Dan. I used to remember the times when you were 1 minute off of Next time on Game Grumps but now, You're always on time. *weeps softly* He grows up so fast!
There is a cowbear flying around the island. Getting that will make daddy very proud of you but only after the katamari is huge. That way you have a better chance of grabbing it.
also the joke was Whats the difference between a piano, tuna, and glue? You can tune a piano but you cant piano a tuna What about the glue? I knew youd get stuck there.
also the joke was Whats the difference between a piano, tuna, and glue? You can tune a piano but you cant piano a tuna What about the glue? I knew youd get stuck there.
the rabbit in the moon thing made me realise why Sailor Moon is called Usagi Tsukino and I am genuinely so vexed at myself for never making the connection before
Can you imagine how terrifying Katamari would be in real life? You're just going about your day and all of the sudden you see this giant ball of random shit picking up your belongings and then picking up YOU. You'd die screaming till you suffocate among your purchased goods.
At around 6:02 the legendary cowbear makes an appearance at the bottom right and then scoots along to the bottom left! Bearcow? Either way it's the best cow/bear in the level!

I am not making that shit up and you know exactly that that is what this game would do.
It's interesting that I instantly believed you before I saw the statement reaffirming your validity.
+Smug Sneasel Actually it's in the video. It quickly passes Arin. I remmber seeing it and begin like "the fuck is That." It's when there rolling stuff on the beach is when it shows up
it's fine man, we're talking about katamari, also the legendary cowbear was seen for like, a second in the video :D
*****
So THAT's what that was.
The joke Arin flubs at 4:52 goes "What's the difference between a piano and a fish? You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish."
In case you were starved for terrible puns.
EDIT: Danny doesn't do a "making bears" joke, despite the perfect set-up. Much disappoint.
Also, fun fact: seeing a pattern where none exists (such as a face in an inanimate object) is known as "pareidolia".
2:07 Arin: "I'm gonna pay more attention"
*Is this real life.*
Is this just fantasy?
caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
No escape from reality
mom's spaghetti!
Wow, Arin was really milking those cow puns
He does bovine job of it.
this is a cow ah....... yeah.
THIS BEEF IS FUCKING FROZEEEEEEEEEN!
It was unbearable
+Xanatos no EEF
this game is very pleasant and i hope they finish it please finish it game grandpas thank you
grandpas?
game grandpas... how dare you insult the mighty game grumps like that.... (i like game grandpas better)
I would be pleasantly surprised if they continued this to that point!
7 Game GRAND DADS
The most polite way this was put I have seen in these comments, when most have been "you guys never finish a game why can't you ever finish anything you dumbasses," maybe there is hope for the people of the comment section of Game Grumps, maybe...
Oh, never mind, there was a surprising amount of complaints on the other videos, this generation is boned.
I really love the Game Grumps. Even the restraining orders won't put me off. In fact, you could say that right now I'm re _straining_ to see Kevin's window through these bushes!!
Jesus, sirens already.
omg i missed u mary hadfad
You were gone for like 1.5 million subs and now you're back.
The king has returned
10/10
you guys know what happened to / even remember that guy called "flurryisanawesomeword"?
Be careful Arin! If you see a cow, be sure to *MOOOOOOO* ve out the way!! HA HA!!
My will to live is *BEAAAAAAR* ly THERE!!
i find puns unBEARable.
but you have so much to live for Harry!
+imthex XD
you're full of BULLshit
imthex Sorry, I just can't stop *MILKING* these puns out!!
Nintendo gave us Super Mario Maker.
Why can't Namco give us Super Katamari Maker?
What would you do there, though? Build levels filled with thousands of cows and bears you may not pick up and a single other piece of item in the middle?
+Cofageekus um yes
This guy's got the right idea.
If it was anything like Super Mario Maker, most user levels would be full on invisible walls and cows/bears that force the level's end. And the King's dialogue would just be insults and slanders.
The King's reaction after that is just go "Holy shit, you actually did it...GO MAKE ANOTHER ONE!" or something.
I guess that's why Sailor Moon's name in Japanese means rabbit.
gg episodes feel so short that when they said next time one minute in I didn't even question it
Jake Larson same, i was just like "sure okay"
Watching old episodes now I _really_ didn't question it
Q: What's the difference between a fish and a piano?
A: Arin can't make jokes.
The way they make it sound like the tiny little cows and bears are dangerous explosives is hilarious and I love it.
You know... it's a lot of pressure to put on a kid like me. Only I can prevent forest fires, Dan? Only I!?
Well... I guess it's time to go back to the Fire Tower, and stare at trees for the next 30 years.
Well, you shouldn't have volunteered for that experimental drug trial
Now you have the ability of pyrokinesis and diarrhea
Jesus Wore Jordans
Sometimes at the same time. Have you ever had the Flaming Diarrheas?!?
TRY KEEPING THAT OUT OF THE TREES! OH the horror...
Dammit, now I want to replay Firewatch XD
+Trent Pattillo Can you see the Possum Lodge from up there?
fire watch reference?
I actually just got two baby bunnies and they are SOOOOO adorable! I'll be walking by, doing whatever, then I'll see one out, hopping around his cage, and I'm just like 😫 "TOO MUCH CUTENESS"
Thanks for not putting up the picture of the Rabbit in the Moon Kevin, it's *really* helpful
have you lost the ability to google 'moon'
***** I know I seem kinda lazy, but in a RUclips video, you don't want to make it so that the viewer wants to pause it and do something else
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but that really is a part of Asian folklore. In Japan specifically, it lives on the moon and makes mochi.
The wizards find themselves outmatched and call upon the aid of the Up-Dog to vanquish the foe and restore positive aura to the Earth's inhabitants
I love that story, the movie was alright too.
Naruto?
I expect only the best bear puns from you comments. Don't disappoint me
Make one yourself. Don't be a COWard
These puns are going to be unBEARable
You mean the beary best puns.
Only two so far? Guys, that's bearly anything! I was cownting on you.
+Temmie 4life ursaying the same pun they used in the episode, maybe you should just steer clear of these comments and let us grizzled veterans handle this
always love a grumpisode after a sad time. their silliness is so amazing and starts as soon as the episode starts!
The graphics of this game are very “Okami” like.
I hope they play that one someday.
Doooooood, I'd shit myself if they play that
Me too
+D3ADM0N5T3R I am so unlucky I'd die in my sleep the night before they put it up
Dan loves The Legend of Zelda, so a Zelda clone would be right up his alley.
As much as I'd like to see them play Ōkami, I also have a feeling Arin would shit all over my favorite game, lol. Still, maybe one day :p
Dan's reaction to the bunny on the moon was pure child-like joy and I loved it.
And btw, my family doesn't see the bunny profile, they see the body of a fox. I remember having a full blown argument with them a long time ago and just gave up. I'm still holding that grudge to this day...
* A 60 is failing by ten points nowadays, actually.
Keep in mind grading differs from country to country, state to state, possible even school to school. When I was in school, a 60 was a D-, I believe. not here in Washington at least its a d so
5 points here in new york
Don't worry Arin, everyone's fallen for those hidden 'Cows' on that stage at one point or another.
At 10:02 the loading screen says, "Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na katamari damacy na-na-na-na-n."
I had a mini heart attack when the "next time on game grumps" banner came up a minute into the video lol.
The next novel by George R. R. Martin, from the Song of Ice and Fire cycle, "A Barrage of Lambs"
im glad to of guest starred on this episode c:
*Have.
Have*
I'm having a crisis guys... I can't tell the difference between a bear and a cow!! What do I do now?
Well, go up to the animal in question, and if you get mauled to death it was probably a bear.
It's probably a panda bull, the most dependable creature.
Bear milk makes you stronk!
"Hey Dan, I got a joke for you"
*sweating at the possible resurgence of Yoda Jokes*
I wish kevin would edit in the images they talk about like they used to
edit's consuming :( That's why barry had to quit editing GG, he loved to do those things but it got to be too much
+Stray Tyrian So what's Kevin's excuse?
Editing basic videos is one thing. Taking the time to place things in, mid video, frame by frame, adds extra work and pressure to save you the three seconds to google image that shit.

"I've got a joke for you, Dan."
Is it a FUNNNNNNNYYYYY JOOOOOKE?!
I was honestly trolled by the end slate @ 1:17
These Katamari playthroughs are always so relaxing.
BEEEEAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!
well, this is more cow.
COOOOOOOOOWWWWWW
+scalie daddy you are cool
scalie daddy OHMYGOD YOUR PROFILE PICTURE LMAO
6:19 I guess he didn't listen to the age-old axiom: "Don't have a cow, man".
Every Katamari game has a level like this, and it's the most frustrating. They do it on purpose, troll ass devs.
"Mom, who's that man in a blu-"
"Don't touch him son, he's a fairy tail gone wrong!"
If he was going for a pun, he shoulda said 'Time to MOOOOOOOVE on, then.' .... I'll see myself out...
Not even kidding, I was playing Tap My Katamari on my phone while watching this, and while they were playing the Cowbear level, I got enough stars to unlock a present. What was the present? A Cowbear.
THIS WAS UPLOADED ON MY BIRTHDAY ;)
Happy burfday
theatermemer Thx m8
They upload everyday… so they upload on everyone's birthday
happy birthday! have a great day,,,,
k
Dans laugh is so contagious, I can't help but giggle every time he does.
Uhh... Why didn't they just extend the episode 2 minutes?
Well, probably because they just felt like ending the episode there. Not really unusual for GG to just end the episode like that tbh.
I know. I've been following them since day 1.
Still bugs me.
They need to make that money.
Dan doesn't take a shit for less than $75,000.
They do on some games and other times they don't, to be honest it's like a 50/50 chance of them extending the episode to finish a match or something you know? Just depends on their mood I guess, let's be real Arin and Danny are *complicated* individuals here haha.
+SkilesHasFun
in that case, wouldn't they make the episode longer? because now the system is based on minutes watched instead of views
This is almost a remake of one of my favorite game grump episodes except it's not just bears anymore
whats the name of song dan sings at the end?
You have to avoid rolling up a cow or bear until you feel big enough to end the level. If you really want to, go for the mystical Cowbear
Dan, you're a fairy tale gone wrong.
I've been waiting for them to do a "Bring the insight back up" joke for so long, so glad it finally happened
60 is a D? :0 anything below 70 is an F
Correct.
not in my school
60 is passing at my school
In my experience, there are only some kinds of bears you should avoid. The ones that try to kill you with their sharp teeth and claws, you should avoid. The ones that are friendly and give good hugs and wear lots of leather, you should stick around.
60 is an F in my school
Correct.
d in mine
Too lenient, 69 was failing in my school.
Nothing makes me want to play Katamari more than watching these two
Im having one of these phases where I dont enjoy the show : / its the second or third time. something about the series and the dynamic...
Same :s
how about you don't watch then?
Because they normally like the show, and they want to like the show, so they're trying to process why they don't and sometimes that takes time. It's a legitimate psychological phenomena
Because there's not much funny shit going on + this game is overly repetitive. Idk, I missed the games that were so bad the hosts made it funny.
+Better Than You it's legitimate constructive criticism
So the king gives them the challenge of getting just one cow or one bear, and Arin believes he is supposed to avoid ALL cows or bears. I imagine he got low grades in reading comprehension in school.
The goal is to get the biggest cow/bear he can fine. So yea avoiding them is kind of the goal.
Darkest-Knight Nick
No, what I mean is that the king plainly said at the end of the last episode what he had to do. At the beginning of this episode, Arin assumed that he had to avoid ALL cows and bears. It wasn't until after he messed up that he figured out what to do.

He was doing it right. Glass houses brah.
one thing i dont like about dan is how he asks dumb questions just to keep the conversation going
Cowabunga. Also: the cow/bear levels in the Katamari series that I don't bother getting to a score of 110 on. They're way too frustrating.
"Look at the earth-facing side of the moon."
I don't think there are any other options, Arin.
that end slate about a minute in caught me off guard.
I've been waiting forever for them to drop the sidebar curtain early jokingly and they finally did it. Good job guys.
I'm really happy that Arin knows his stuff about Japanese culture
The origami rabbits in To the Moon suddenly make SO much more sense!
1:28 The "blink!... no.. nothin'" made me laugh really hard for some reason.
I'm so proud of you, Dan. I used to remember the times when you were 1 minute off of Next time on Game Grumps but now, You're always on time.
*weeps softly* He grows up so fast!
I adore this series. Ive played all of them. I am still amazed the first gsme eae localized in 2004
This is the earliest I've been to a Game Grumps video.
1:27 that sound effect was used in Majora's Wrath
Haha I remember that episode!! xD "BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Thanks for the episode, Grumps~
I wish they wouldve noticed the giant cowbear. Catching that was one of the hardest game accomplishments ever.
There is a cowbear flying around the island. Getting that will make daddy very proud of you but only after the katamari is huge. That way you have a better chance of grabbing it.
"Look at the earth facing side of the moon".
We only look at one side, Arin.
lol. I LIVE for those clips after every episode.
I could live purely off of these katamari videos
Watching Arin try to avoid those cows was Bearrifying
I'm TRUly MOOved by all of these cow puns.
also the joke was
Whats the difference between a piano, tuna, and glue?
You can tune a piano but you cant piano a tuna
What about the glue?
I knew youd get stuck there.
also the joke was
Whats the difference between a piano, tuna, and glue?
You can tune a piano but you cant piano a tuna
What about the glue?

10:50 and forward, that rolling bear is carrying a huge case of tripophobia.
Dan: "Rabbits are cute in general." Thanks, Dan. You're not so bad yourself.
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA KATAMARI DAMACY-Y-Y-Y-Y! I listen to that playlist for hours.
"they weren't CLEAR enough" is arin's way of saying "i paid ABSOLUTELY no attention to the words on the screen"
Watched episode five, made some mac & cheese, came back and you had released episode 6. Day made.
Arin's slowly losing his mind over these bears and cows
You could say it's
Too much to bear
the rabbit in the moon thing made me realise why Sailor Moon is called Usagi Tsukino and I am genuinely so vexed at myself for never making the connection before
Being blazed and watching them play this trippy ass game is very critical
There are so many mushrooms in this game. Makes me want to eat some mushrooms and play it. The way the game was designed to be played
Can you imagine how terrifying Katamari would be in real life? You're just going about your day and all of the sudden you see this giant ball of random shit picking up your belongings and then picking up YOU. You'd die screaming till you suffocate among your purchased goods.
I need more of this series
This episode was so good I could hardly BEAR it!
The second the episode began, I knew for a fact Arin was gonna run into one of the cow/bear items right at the start.
"Hey Dan, do you want to hear a joke?"
Is it a FUNNNNNNEEEEEE JOOOOKE?
Ah, yes, cows and bears. The VERY BEST MISSION.
I guess we will never see the rabbit in the moon, thanks danny
god, you guys are really MILKING these cow jokes for what they're worth.
Ive been waiting forever for them to make that next time on game grumps joke...I can die now.
The "Rabbit in the Moon" is called the Jade Rabbit.
Every time they say tiny bear I can't help but think...TINY RICK!
Lovely singing at the end :)
He lost his... Bear-ings after that first cow
I think high speed bear would have been a better title for this episode
At the end of this series, I just want to see Arin and Dan watch a video of a really skilled Katamari player and listen to them freak out.
At around 6:02 the legendary cowbear makes an appearance at the bottom right and then scoots along to the bottom left! Bearcow? Either way it's the best cow/bear in the level!
This game is so satisfying to watch.
Am I the only one who loves King of the Cosmos' record screeching voice? :)
+GameGrumps The rabbit in the moon that you're thinking of is the Jade Rabbit, and it is a very famous traditional Japanese story
