Thanks so much for this review, really helpful (especially the bit about the hidden switch to move the arms closer for badminton). I would have previously looked at pictures of this machine and not purchased because I would not have seen a way to close the side support gap.

@@stuartpreston8173 my Pleasure. It's a great machine! I'm actually going to be receiving the new Tecnifibre X-Cord machine very soon, so I'll review that one too.

what is the output voltage of power adapter that powers the machine? I wanna know how much power it consumes.

Hello, I'm interested in buying one of these for badminton. Have you tried any Yonex machines like the precision 5.0? If so how does this compare?

Hi there, yes I've used a few Yonex machines. Yonex machines are excellent but tend to be very expensive for the top machines. All I can say is that this is a great machine. I'm going to be getting the new Tecnifibre X-Cord machine very soon too, which I'm looking forward to!

@stringdoctor6238 how does the yonex models compare to this? I need a fast machine that's reliable, would u say that this machine is comparable?

@@GaryGao-l6b the Wilson machines are probably the most reliable in the business.

I am putting my new Baiardo lite base and the safety cover/vertical sleeve together and it is leaning forward slightly. Is this correct? Thank you.

Well, it is leaning towards me if I was stringing, not away.

Yes that's correct. It's part of the ergonomic design 👍

Great, thank you. I just got it put together and I am so excited. I am graduating from a Gamma X-Stringer with a 2086. 😁✌️

Hi man. I’m in the market to buy one of this. Do you think a used one with around 500 jobs performed on it is still worth buying for $2750?

    • @stringdoctor6238
      @stringdoctor6238  2 года назад +1

Definitely worth that price. 500 rackets isn't a lot, plus the machine will likely be under 2 years old, used machines are almost as expensive as new machines these days.

Can we get actual Wilson contact to buy this machine pls

Hi Abdul, glad you like the machine. I absolutely love it. I’ve contact a contact in the UK who helped me out, Club Rackets, in Sheffield or you could try Frameworks if they don’t have any (mention my name if you like). Wilson have already priced this pretty low (for what it is) on their website though, so not sure how much room for discount you would have.

I mostly string badminton racquets but wondered if anyone here had used the Baiardo lite for badminton stringing. I looked at the pdf user manual for the machine and the photo there of a badminton racquet mounted on it seems to me as being incorrectly mounted as the 4 side clamps are not really in the correct positions (see link below for photo). The two on each side are too close together by about 4 or 5 cms. My current machine allows for the clamps to be moved to different positions whereas they appear to be fixed on this machine? What do other badminton stringers think? drive.google.com/file/d/1M0R6sWydH-OnkUzVxutjKK1BHVQRWjak/view?usp=sharing

Hi Graham, I actually string a lot of badminton rackets. I just use the blue load spreader and the arm attachments that come with the machine (though I do have other spreaders in case). Works really well with the adjustable posts. And the clamps on the lite far easier than the normal Baiardo, though I think they've put the new clamps on the normal Baiardo now too.

Just to add, some machines will have the arms slightly differently positioned but with the posts moved in then it hold the racket fine, with no issues at all.

@@stringdoctor6238 Hi Thanks for that. I still think from the photo I attached that the side clamps are not far enough apart. It looks like they are really close together unless the photo is wrong? The clamps appear to be immediately above and below the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions instead of slightly further apart at say 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock on the right and 10 o’clock and 8 on the left. Like all racquets it’s important that there is an even clamping action around the frame but that is especially true of the very thin and relatively fragile badminton frames which need as much support as possible. I have never seen a machine where there isn’t any possible adjustment in the side clamp positions but if you have not found this to be an issue even when stringing at high tensions like 30lbs+ then I will take your word for it. Thanks.
