I love the way you say it, "preserving the culture" because I really felt the same way. I am not from north east (even though I was born in assam) but this video made me want to protect their culture. It's a very precious thing. Their culture is really different from the places in India I grew up in and it's very heartwarming to see it being passed down.

It's our North East part Nagaland of India...... I'm really proud that they showed all tribes of Nagaland and introduce world to North East part of India. Bollywood may created a certain image of India but it's beyond then that we don't have certain face, color, caste, culture or language to be an Indian. India is too diverse you can find people look like Chinese/Japanese/Korean, people who like African, people who like white, people who like brow and many more races. People of all major and minor religion also lives in India. Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism are originated in India. India doesn't have any National language rather India has two official Hindi and English, 18 scheduled and 1800+ languages.
So don't think we look mostly brown😜 people from many races live in India and interestingly they are all indigenous to India, they aren't immigrated from any where.
Irony is that Northeast people are often discriminated by Indian based on their looks. Nowadays they call them (Northeast people) Corona virus.

For me Nagaland is one of the best State in India.... Nagaland is a Christian State and they have different tribes in this State... Naga people are so loving,kind and good.... And moreover their looks are very different from Other Indian people.... When Naga people go to other parts of India then they will say are you guys from China.... So Nagas are very special in India....

In Nagaland 90% Population identify themselves as Christian not as Naga or Gorkha..and They are pure Gorkha i guess but do not consider them Gorkha and it is not good thing so that is why if you are Indian so you can say u are special but you can not say others are not right?? your words are interpreting this..

I thank RUclips for recommending me this channel. I'm from Nagaland and I'm currently in Canada. I met Koreans in India and I just love them, as time ticks we become more like a family. To this day even here in North America I used to live with a Korean family, and our bond is just strong, loving and great!
Hi. From Nagaland. Good to know that Koreans even has traced our existence. Our origin must be left by some great wars during ancient wars, some traditional is still very ancient to our slow growth of advancement but the appearance, identity and most are same mannerism here the same. Isolation of transport and century gap of communication must have lost our track(origin).
Sad reality! But we still speculate the sure race of Mongolian. If history source could be made through past wars' data, we may get to mend our real ancient migrations. Every tribe has different languages, we have common languages too. 🙂 Majority are English speaking and a Christians too. Interesting will be finding our own lost families. Puzzle game will be our history trace too. 💪😍
There was no written record back then, Some Britisher writers(and some other scholars) drafted our history and we lately learned our past record.
Visit us and witness the place, some villages are still descent in clear maintainance between the mountains and valley's. Tourism will rapidly grow and bless us someday.

Actually during the mauryan period many mongolian traded along the indus valley. (At the time India was the richest country in the world). So some of the settlers stayed. NE Indians have mongolian mixed Indian features due to intermixing. So NE's have straight jaw and comma shaped eyes but mongolian nose and mixed colour.

@@humbleoneplanet5703 it's a bit hard. You have to study the entire trade during the indus valley civilization and during the mauryan period. There is no place that just talks about the NE Indian origin but that period was likely to be the best explanation.

@@madwolf341 by decent the entire human race came from africa. Nagas are nagas your ancestors came during the mauryan period and settled here in the same vein aryans came and settled in India . Mongols is just a way of saying easy asian decent. After that one migration and inter mixed with indigenous people you became a new race.
