Such a shame that GG turned out to be who he is because his music catalogue won't be heard and appreciated by future generations the way it was by mine. This is my all-time favourite song of his (I still remember him performing it on TOTP) and at his concert he gave one of the most electric performances I've ever seen - not one person was sat down - beating more 'famous names' hands down. I hope someday his music overshadows him, and not vice versa.
For some reason a lot of people can't seem to separate the abilities of an artist from their actions as a human being, personally I have never understood why they find this so difficult.
They are jealous of entertainers. That's why. They WANT to believe the worst. They do it to me all the time. Can't separate the artist from their private life. 💯

The dual drumming Glitter Band inspired loads of groups, from mainstream acts like The Ants to underground darlings like The Fall. But nobody will mention them now because the frontman was a horrible, dirty fucker offstage.
I grew up with this, ace music, I always wanted to be a drummer...ended up a guitarist/multi instrumentalist with excellent influences! How can you go from The Shadows, Glitter, Pink Floyd???? Works for me :-)
Real shame he's been completely erased by BBC and others regarding his music...as a tot it was the first music I can remember dancing around to - he was the King of Glam.

That clapping sound to the beat sounds like the same effect they used on Elton's Benny and the Jets.

The sweet and gary glitter the best of glam rock
I Didn't Know I Loved You Till I Saw You Rock 'n' Roll...so do I, since 1970 when I heard Rock for the first time! I was 9 years old at that time!
no matter i loved and grew up on this mans music as a 40 plus man i really....liked him
Absolutely right he made some bloody good stuff LEADERRR
I was obsessed with him too as a kid and I'm now 56 years old. Brings back great memories
Thing song touches me in that special way that only a man who writes songs in A-minor could ever possibly understand!
😂
Which most musicians would understand so your point is 🤔
@@stevegarth6902 he was being witty A minor etc
@@alanfizzypop9607 really
Such a shame that GG turned out to be who he is because his music catalogue won't be heard and appreciated by future generations the way it was by mine. This is my all-time favourite song of his (I still remember him performing it on TOTP) and at his concert he gave one of the most electric performances I've ever seen - not one person was sat down - beating more 'famous names' hands down. I hope someday his music overshadows him, and not vice versa.
Great
fantastic rock and roll, still dancing bravo!!!!
The Leader Of British Glam Rock!! Rock On!
Harry... Yes after sweet...
He truly touched many fans.
In so many illegal ways.
literally ?
:)
😂😂😂😂😂
Yes we know. He'd be the king of glam rock if he hadn't.
Same here great music is still great
I remember when I was sixteen , I was so amazed by Gary Glitters música.
I used to tell me when I am sixty
I will listen to it.
I think it is a bless to have reached
This age and still be able to listen to him,and of course remember that old time.
I am 61 and still listen.
Yes I loved him, but I loved his music more 🙌🏻🎶❤️
Wow to many memories i have from this song wow is just beautiful Wonderful to hear a song and the brain bring you to those moments that are unforgettable thanks Gary for that 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ god bless you all for such talent
I’m certain the sound had a huge influence on Adam and the Ants.
The dual drumming Glitter Band inspired loads of groups, from mainstream acts like The Ants to underground darlings like The Fall. But nobody will mention them now because the frontman was a horrible, dirty fucker offstage.
I was thinking that. It's the growling guitar sound as well as the double drums. There is a lot of
Post punk about the early 70s.
I grew up with this, ace music, I always wanted to be a drummer...ended up a guitarist/multi instrumentalist with excellent influences! How can you go from The Shadows, Glitter, Pink Floyd???? Works for me :-)
Esta música nos llenaba de energía y sin faltar el respeto a la dignidad femenina, nos divertíamos a full
Que bestia me hace rejuvenecer este disco
Real shame he's been completely erased by BBC and others regarding his music...as a tot it was the first music I can remember dancing around to - he was the King of Glam.
Loved him. Saw him in concert. I was about 10 years old.
Pity it all went haywire he had it all
Did you.... do stuff?
He had the best Group there never be a Group like the Glitter band.
Thank god for that...
No
The Glitter Band had nothing to do with Garry Glitter. They were two completely seperate acts.
Que joya de música me hubiera gustado vivir esa época 😃
Sin autotune
Hoy tuvieras 70 años
Love it .... go gary ¡!
Outstanding songs and performances. Just look at him!
Just look at him? A paedophile piece of scum!
The kids loved him.

Amo esta canción. Gary; pues la bailo y hoy a mis 67 años sigo rockeando... gracias my baby.
Podrán pasar 100 años y esta canción siempre será energía y rock puro
Su cuerda favorita A Menor
@@Hollywoodrocker311 No se de notas solo de música ,pero supongo que te refieres al bajo .
Du sagst es 👍
Saw him at Oxford back in the 70s and it was awesome..part of glam rock history...still love it ..though his private life
left a bit to be desired sadly.
C’est la vie.
