This is why so many VR players come back to Rec Room. You can do pretty much anything in Rec Room, meet new people, play games created by the community, make your own creations or rooms and much, much more. Like gecko said, something about Rec Room puts it many levels above VRChat. Even staying a whole 24 hours in Rec Room, it’ll still have you playing more.
You can do exactly the same in VRChat. I enjoyed the video but that one point is just wrong. As someone who actively makes creations in VRChat and is active in communities with other VRC creators it's just plain to see how incorrect his assesment is. Everything unique he listed applies to VRChat. And starting off by saying "yeah you can make goofy avatars" Is also understating the Avatars people create in VRChat. There's more than just goofy, there is beautifully sculpted, textured and rigged creations. Avatars containin an entire unique experience. But further VRChat, just like recroom has an endless amount of games created by the community. It's great that he likes rec room more than VRChat but to talk about things that are the core component of VRChat as if they dont exist in VRChat is just strange. And the entire speech would have been more powerful if he omitted trying to put rec room above something else. It jut taints what could have been a beauiful pure send off.

It was really fun to enjoy creations and games while wearing some unique avatars. And this game was infinitely more fun with some friends. Something about VRC felt unique, like you could truly express yourself with avatars. So yeah, I was very naive to basically say “rec room is better than vrchat” which isn’t true at all.

I can’t believe this video is 3 years old now. I still remember when this video not even a month old. And I was amazed by this video, and it made me play rec room non stop when Lockdown was happening here.
