Made the mob farm a few days ago based on your previous videos and it's working pretty nicely, had a simpler setup for sending the items to storage but didn't make any filtering and was thinking it would be nice to get some auto smelting into the mix so this video came at the perfect time. #MAD4CK #PC
Very neat tutorial! For the Item Filter, there is a post in the description of my video where I provide two images showing the fix for the filter so it doesn't get overwhelmed. Hope it helps!

are there plans for a full guide on building a high end mob farm start to finish? i wanna make one but the only guides ive seen are pre-1.0 and partially outdated, and i dont have the time or patience to try and figure out a massive design like those on my own without messing things up and wasting my time.
Hey i followed your directions i started it to try to see if it was going to start to filter but my generator is only powering the last 15 drills/powerarms. did i need to loop it?
the bigger your farm the more sections of power you'll need. The designs I've done so far are all small enough that you shouldn't need more generators than shown in the video, but if you make it bigger you'll need more power. Try adding another generator near where the power stops flowing and it will extend the power further.
the square ones? if thats what you mean those are alien vents. you find them in the shimmering frontier. The other tiles are temple blocks which you can find in the desert.

It looks like the entire system glitches out if you try to stretch the outputs any from the starting point. I guess the extensions messes up with timing for the switches. Would the timing of when you turn on both switches affect it too?
We found the solution. Turns out if you plan to extend the system, you have to keep count of how many tiles it takes for the generator to stop delivering, and then add an extension generator on all three output tiles.
I have old worlds and has a lot of items and farms, with every new update i find transfering to a new world just to update the map annoying, is there a way for us to update our maps or undiscover parts of the maps? Ive been transfering items to new worlds since i started playing and i stopped trying to build complicated farms like these because of that :( #MAD4CK #PC
Is the auto filter actually necessary if you are combining the item streams after smelting? If an item can't be put into the smelter it'll just flow through that line anyway.
thats correct. its totally optional. I included it as a way to include the smelting as part of the farming process. If you already handle it another way then you're good.
Exactly it’s pointless and he doesn’t even understand how it works lol just a crane two sides of same smelter so the one picks up where the other drops non ore items is all you need
I'm playing on Steamdeck and I freaking love this game. 80 hours so far. Anybody know of a good way to connect with others for multiplayer? Is there a discord?
The first section of this video, whilst a good demonstration of the technical aspect, is completely pointless, you can just set a crane up either side of a smelter, and have one for every ore type, and not need a degree in engineering to understand how it works

If all you plan to separate is ore that's true. But if you want to separate other things then it can help
