how he does this is called torque(the longer the tool the stronger the attack)
his weapon is 2 times the size of his arm, meaning he hits 2 times as hard
at 380 million meters it would be 190 million times his arm thus 190 million times as powerful the attack
that is like 190 000 000 × solar system level( but it only applies with his sword fully extended)
I love that this game doesn't have health bars for bosses, just a bar that shows how angry Asura is, and he just wins when it fills up.

I love how Augus can’t help but be proud at how powerful Asura has become.
Something I always like about Asura's Wrath is just the impact of everything. Every little input feels like it carries so much weight behind it. The sound of the punches, the parries, the burst. It all feels so good to listen to.
And now the current games barely have good impact sounds
Hitting that excellent QTE just hits so hard.

Seeing this game in 60FPS is like seeing an artifact from Egypt fully restored into Golden glory. Technology finally caught up with the vision.

When you realize that Augus is not only blind, but also refuses to use the mantra of prayer or sacrifices like the other deities, believing that it makes one dependant and weak. Augus fought using his _own_ strength alone.
Um actually he still capable of vision. It just his irises look blank white and glowing like Asura 🤓 Unless if he used some ESP hack or heightened senses then idk

He’s blind, older, can keep with Asura punching at him with 6 arms in the fist clash, and he doesn’t use mantra and prayer sacrifice. Augus is a goat, imagine how much stronger he’d be if he did use mantra and the prayer sacrfices
This is the Apex of what an anime game fight truly is. QTE's are a core concept of the game. A great story and very powerful bosses. Like Agus here. For a game so old it still outshines all of the anime games that have come out recently

my favorite detail is Augus’ brutality is always capable of keeping up with Asura’s! Such as when they start doing their punch clash and he’s able to evenly pace his blows with Asura despite having only two arms against his six vajra arms, and makes Asura weary and cautious when he pulls out his sword afterwards. Augus truly is a goated character even if he only lasted somewhat towards the late first half of the game. He truly shows us, the player, that Asura is more than capable of pressing the fight on down the storyline when he barely defeats him in battle. Truly underpopular but very appreciated gem in the 2010s of gaming!
This is also the only fight i think where Asura is less about sheer rage overcoming an obstacle but more about a pupil overcoming his master with all of his strenght (at that point) and skills, he isnt so mad against Augus as to attack on sight for example, they still had a somewhat friendly conversation beforehand
Anyone else notice that Augus' moveset in his first phase is a souped up version of Asura's? He's got the combos, the launcher, the spinning heavy attack (not seen here but you can see it in a lot of other videos of this fight), and his big charge-in move that you can counter is basically Burst minus the instant win. This is a fight between master and student, and they went the extra mile to make sure it felt like that.
The battle of the ages with upgraded visuals and framerate to show it in its full glory!

Think about it. Not only would a lot of people love to see this game in remaster, but it would also bring in big money to Capcom cause of how much people love it. Plus plus, you'll most likely get more people (who haven't seen the game before) interested into buying the game. So basically, it's a win win for both sides, one gets their money and the other gets the product they want

Maybe I'm overthinking this but I think Augus actually understood how they're different at the end, ambitons. Asura fights for others who can't fight for themselves, he's also a father and everyone knows a man will go to Hell and back for his daughter. Augus only fought for the thrill of the fight, honestly he was dead inside and only thing that kept him going was ultra violence. Asura got stabbed through the chest, had his arms blown off, got slammed against the Earth from outerspace and he kept fighting, Augus got a wound across his chest and gave up. In other words, Asura is more human than a god and that is why he won because humans have something gods cant, the will to keep going.
Either that, or Asura got lucky he gave Augus a deeper wound resulting in a killing blow.
Well Augus wouldve want to die in battle anyway so a killing blow wouldve been the only thing to stop him even knowing that he's weaker than Asura now

This game although lacking in gameplay and very repetitive, perfected QTE and comic book story telling in gaming.
DMC V perfected action adventure gameplay and yet has very minimal story telling.
Capcom should combine them both and make the ultimate action game
Or their own part of Assassin's creed(very repetitive and minimal story)
The problem with Asura's Wrath Is in His Core Gameplay
All sections plays the same; Punch, Hard Punch and Shooting, you don't unlock or Upgrade anything
But hell, the QTE synchronized with the perfect Punch AND moment makes This game what It Is; a unique experience

Its not like DMC where Nero or Dante can lose, Asura's Wrath doesn't even give its bosses health bars.

The best part of this fight for me is still watching Augus shrug off a sucker punch to the face from Asura, considering everything he's done up to this point. The man is an absolute beast.

i think this fight can give the player a big picture for the reason why Asura fight and he's angry all the time, Asura and Augus are two side of the same coin two person that were born and modade by the wars, and both of then enjoy fights, but even if a coin has 2 side the 2 side won't have the same content, after all Asura fight for more than just the fight, he knows there is more than just fight, His wife and principaly his Daughter, he don't want to just fight, he wants to protect what is most important to him and the only way he knows is fighting, resolving everything with his own hand, you can see that he deny everytime that Augus says that the only to get what he wants is with his fists "the ones who stands in the end is righteous.... " and have confident that his fists will do what he think is right ''walk the path that you must... " and in the end, Asura doesn't try to deny or simply tells Agus to *SHUT UP*, he listen, because is the only way he know ho to do things how to make what he believe come to reality, one of the big characterist of Asura is how he hates when people/gods/deitys trys to take advantage of the weak as he tells to chkravitra "there is always some fool who wants to rule the world, forcing others to things they can do for themselves" Asura is not a "DeEp ChRarActer'' but at the same time he's not just a shallow character who can destroy a planet size guy with his fist and is stupitly raging for no reason, he has his complexity even when the game blind you by epic fights, if you look more into the story you can see that it's a good story not a deep story but it has your complexity

I'm surprised a the sudden change in music. This fight is specifically using Antonin Dvorak's symphony 9 here which caught me off gaurd
I consider Azura one of the Canonicly strongest Charecters in all of Media because he beated his Universes Creator and singlehandly destroyed it.
He is on of the Crosscanonical Broken high Tiers alongside Shulk from Xenoblade, Kratos from GoW and Doomguy from Doom.
But their not Top Tier because their are Charecters who could literraly just wish their Victory from an Artifact they got ahold of during their Adventures. Sorry, Azura Fans, but Link can just wish Azura to Stop and he suddenly would by the Power of the Triforce.

If you wish from the Triforce i bends reality only as much as needed to fulfill that wish. The Wishing Power as it seems has then to be recharged but it each of the 3 pieces still boost the Virtue they are aligned to in the Induviduel that Carries it.

I think augus, being the affinity of greed, only wanted to fight asuras wrath from the very beginning. I dont think he cared that much about deus cause. Augus did care about asura, but he really the ultimate fight. That's why he wasnt there when they betrayed asura. He knew asura would come back filled with wrath, and thats the battle augus greedily wanted.
Its directly stated that he didnt give a single F about Deus's plan. He just wanted a good fight and fighting the core of the earth is kiiinda the only worthwhile stuff the fight at that point for Augus, since only Deus was stronger than him and its solely due to Mantra, something Augus refused to use as a clutch.
And the moment he learned about Asura coming back killing one of them and generally growing strong enough to keep up even with the Mantra overly boosted demi gods, ofc he just had to take a go at it lol
