Robert Giles 20th Century Letterpress Printing

Letterpress printing has not dead yet. Robert Giles is proud to be the third generation letterpress printer. Giles followed his grandfather and father’s footstep and career path and started working at newspaper companies as a printer since his early twenties.
Over the course of his career, Bob witnessed a lot of shifts in the printing industry, especially with the advent of cold type, offset printing and digital printing. However, Giles choose to stay with letterpress printing than modern fancy printing. After his retirement from Shelton Turnbull, Giles opened a letterpress printing shop in his garage. Today, Bob works almost every day in his print. He enjoys doing creative works and serving the clients that he inherited from his dad.
