I loved the book. It had to end the way it did. Even though Hayes was young I felt he loved her. I listened to the audiobook, the author narrated the book and it is perfect. The movie put faces on the characters and the music was a nice touch, but not crazy about how they changed it. I will definitely listen to it again.
You need to be besties with Sarah Hartley from Reading Through Life (used to be podcast now IG and Substack). She’s equally obsessed lol. I‘ve got to take a hard pass on big age gap romances (in books or real life) so this has never been the book for me. Glad you enjoyed it so much!
I’ve never clicked on a video so fast. 😂 I’m here for all the gushyness (not a word but we’re going with it). I was obsessed too and had to watch the movie the day it came out. The book was definitely better - I didn’t like how fast their relationship went with the movie but I get they had to speed it up lol. I cried so hard with the book and had a love hate feeling about the ending too. I did kind of like how they did the ending in the movie. At least we got both versions. 😂
AH! I'm glad I have a fellow Idea of You lover 😊 It was definitely a good movie! But I prefer the book. And I feel like the ending in the book needs to be the way that relationship goes... my opinion!
I saw a clip of Anne Hathaway on I think the Tonight Show? And she mentioned the book and nobody had heard of it. I certainly hadn't heard of it. I did watch the movie and plan on getting the book as soon as I can.
that was so great for your Husband that he was chosen and got to play with the big time
Orchestra. Way to go. I will have to put this book on my tbr.
It was a great experience for him and all of us that attended the concert! I hope you like it 😊

Yes! I loved how the author read it too. Perfect book in my eyes 😊

Also, it's really great for your husband. I love how proud you are.
I hadn't heard of it until Molly told me about it. And then realized there was a movie later!! Perfect timing.
