So many times I step outside and find myself saving someone from a crime. Telling someone to back off of the weak or any elders. Found a lost woman not knowing where she was, was very confused in the mind. I helped her find her home. I know I'm spiritually protected and have become a goer no one sees coming. At least 8 times, I've been at some place at the right time, helping others somehow. Ppl wanting to rob others so many times. Trusting my spiritual core. Knowing I could spring into action. Im not a scary person, dont look hard or rough, but have been their to intercept one on one petty but could have hurt some ppl in sone low rate crimes. The love thing is true, too. Saying no to the breathing in person. Comes with a price, I'm sure.

Respect and don't be a doormat. Boundaries, basically establishing them, and discernment especially the type of people or energies I invite in are lessons I am constantly working on. Lots of flaky, unreliable, and energy vampires I dealt with in my past ....until the C word entered my life. Cancer has a way of making you take stock of your life. Getting rid of what no longer serves you. Being highly protective of your energy and time. When you are child of emotionally neglectful or abusive parents, you tend to develop the people pleasing mentality. You want to be liked, you want to not rock the boat /cause drama. This translates heavily into my work life and volunteering aspects of my life since I chose to not have kids. So many folks take me for granted. Learning to say "NO" doesn't come easily. Trying to not feel guilty over saying no too. I ask myself, "Will these people take care of me should I no longer be in remission and it comes back?" "Will these people offer to run errands or take you to the hospital?" The answer is NO to most if not all. It's okay to say NO. You owe nothing to these folks I tell myself over and over like a mantra.
Because, I am mostly underemployed. I am a workhorse. I have a part time office job, but this job has been mentally healing, which is ironic since the mailroom is in a mental health clinic/homeless residence building complex. I try so hard to be invaluable and do more than what they asked for from other TEs in the past. My supervisor wears many hats due to staff reduction and hiring freezes. A lot of taking initiative and creating projects. The great reorg. I organized the office supplies and creating an inventory spreadsheet for my supervisor as a baseline as to what is in stock as of present moment. Try to be professional..though my social awkwardness I am always concerned about making a mistake.
It's yule season~ the darkest days of the year... which means negative spirits will take this opportunity to mess around. I found some real mistletoe at sprouts and it puts in the protective work like a boss.
